Staff were friendly and informative. The stills are the oldest continuously operated pot stills in the country and they are right in the tasting room. Overall, we really liked this small little distillery and would be back if we are in the area.

This distillery is interesting because they were the largest mail order alcohol provider back in the 1800s. The owner showcased some of their classic whiskeys between their bourbons and their ryes then brought us back to the barrels that you can bottle from and gave us a tasting to help us choose which barrels we would want to bottle. I ended up blending two barrels for an incredibly smooth bourbon that I'm excited to open up! We ended with a couple more tastings to choose between the maple rye and maple bourbon. We left with a couple bottles and an experience that we won't forget! The space is extremely small but I felt like it helped with the intimate experience. I think I'll have to make it back soon to support this fantastic small business bringing back some history! Overall, highly recommend!!

A quick scenic drive along the water and I found myself parked outside of the bottle shop and tasting room! I was on limited time and wasn't able to do the tour. Next time maybe?! The staff was great from the sous chef I flagged down to the gal serving up samples in the bottle shop and tasting room. After trying a few things I decided on bottle of maple finish and one of the uncut unfiltered. Pretty good stuff! Along witht the bottles I had to pick up a Watershed glencairn for $12 too... I wish I'd had more time to spend and could look around the facility a little more there at the distillery! Watershed was a lot better ambiance and company than Giant Eagle and Kroger where I was limited to in the rest of my OH bourbon hunting... Lol

We came back a couple of hours later after their bar service opened and had Jen as our bartender. She was super prompt, wonderfully friendly, and offered us recommendations based on our questions. The interior was chic and modern but not enough to feel like you need full formal wear. I highly recommend you give this spot a try!

It's a pretty spacious setup with table top, bar, and couch seating. There's also a gameroom full of pinball machines and more. I'm not into beer, but I did try a cocktail and enjoyed it! I'm not much of a drinker but I find tours of spirit makers an excellent way to learn about the local culture. This tour did not disappoint! We heard about everything from the distillery's cursed entrepreneurial founder to modern day copyright issues. The tour ends with a generous bourbon tasting. I wasn't sure what to expect from the tasting but temporarily losing sensation in my tongue was a surprise (thanks, Tanners Curse)! Overall this tour was a fantastic value. I'd say the tasting session alone was worth the total cost of the ticket.

This is a smaller distillery. When you walk in you will be greeted by the owner. He is also an artist/musician and his labels reflect that aspect of his personality, wonderfully creative. He uses this space for multiple things: a distillery, art studio, art gallery, and jam session room. You will see a drum set and a few guitars. Art collaborations hang on his wall- It's pretty cool. His distilled products and merchandise occupy the front corner by the entrance you will be offered samples of anything you may be interested in trying. However, it's more a grab and go type of distillery "shop". A huge plus is not only are the items delicious, the price point is quite reasonable ...yesterday we purchased a new type... a vodka he called Bloody Mary Vodka.... Made specifically to enhance bloody Mary's. Wow, is it good and only $20! The products and experience while tasting are all five star, but due to the fact there is no traditional bar to hang out at like the other distilleries on the distillery trail .... Deducted a star. There are a few spots in front, street parking, and a shared lot next door. Their cocktails are really unique with fun names. I started off with what they call a garbage fire / trash tiki, served in a plastic trash bin. Then there was a banana rum drink with a plastic monkey. Then there were little daiquiris (special $1 for joining mailing list). They have a small appetizer list; we had the Bear's Bagels chips and schmear. I took home a bottle of Pineapple Rum.
