Looking down the side of the glass, you can clearly see every imperfection. I have been a customer of Metro Glass for over 20 years, but in the last 5-6 years the quality has gone downhill dramatically. Nearly every order I've placed has had something wrong--pieces cut too large, measurements not matching the specs I provided, and poor finishing work. This latest order was especially disappointing. There was an oily residue along the edge of the glass that smeared when wiped away, leaving the edge looking cloudy. When I asked about it, I was told it was because the edges are "hand ground." To me, it looks more like outdated work from the 1950s than the quality I used to expect. Out of frustration, I reordered the exact same piece of glass from Kirkwood, and the difference was night and day. The edge was clean, clear, and perfectly straight--the way it should have been the first time. After years of loyalty, I can honestly say the craftsmanship and attention to detail at Metro Glass are no longer there.

1 star review I…read morewish I had read more reviews before doing business with Viviano Windows & Doors. I purchased a storm door and storm window from Viviano and unfortunately had an anwful experience from both a quality and customer service standpoint. The storm door and the storm window came for delivery on the same day. The storm window was unable to be installed as it did not fit (note, two different people came out to measure after I paid my deposit). They were able to install the storm door and the storm window was remeasured and reordered. After the storm door was installed, I had concerns about the door and its installation so I reached out to their main office phone number and spoke with the office manager. A few hours later I received an abrupt text from an unknown number. It was the owner of the company. Rather than working with me to address the issues, the owner became increasingly defensive and dismissive. In this exchange I explicitly told him that I still wanted the storm window and that my concerns were with the storm door only. His response was that he was the owner, he was making the decision, and the decision was final. He refused to install the storm window and instead offered a full refund only if he could return to my home and remove the storm door the very next day. At that point, I accepted the refund because I did not want to be left without my deposit. However, the way this was handled left my entryway looking like the home been broken to and in a condition that was extremely disappointing, as shown in the attached photo. In this case, rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, the owner repeatedly emphasized that they install "thousands" of these doors and had not had complaints, and ultimately chose to terminate the rest of the project rather than address my concerns. I was never asking for anything unreasonable. I wanted the door issues addressed, and I wanted the storm window I had ordered and been waiting for. I was very much willing to pay for it. Unfortunately, my experience with Viviano was that once I expressed dissatisfaction, the conversation became adversarial rather than focused on finding a solution. The communication was unprofessional, the situation was handled poorly, and I was left extremely appalled with the overall experience. Lastly, from my deep dive reading all reviews, I know the owner will respond rudely. I am including the messages he sent me to make it clear this is not someone you should do business with. Thank you.

Updated Review, 7/5/2021…read more Another great install by Clear Window Technology! Clear Window Technology has installed four sliding glass doors and three exterior patio doors in two homes for us. All were installed incredibly well, by a great team... and are doors Made in USA, AND also Made in Missouri ! We highly recommend Clear Windows Technology! We also recommend having Clear Window Technology install for you doors from Target Windows & Doors, who are located in Vandalia, Missouri, which is near Mexico and Hannibal. The sliding glass doors are the Elite 4000 sliding glass door, with blinds installed between the panes - the blinds rise and fall by one slider, and tilt open/closed by another slider... on the stationary side and on the sliding door.  Dennis at Clear Window said this was the best door he offered and we agree it is great! The door slides so smoothly; the frame and door and locks are all solid. They even installed a foot lock that lets you prop the door open a few inches, to let in some air, while preventing it from moving until your toe taps to unlock the door. The three patio doors are hinged doors, and were installed with new wooden frames, to replace the original frame that had some wood rot. Clear Window Technology did a great job pre-sales, and for install, and the doors look great - nice and new and sleek and clean! Thank you, Dennis, Tracey!!! Original Review, 12/7/2017 Wonderful solid quiet smooth tightly sealed amazing and awesome & professionally installed were the first words I thought of when I got home and saw the amazing door that Clear Window Technology installed in our bay window. Our son also said - "This is a reallllly nice door!"  And he's right! We ordered the Elite 4000 sliding glass door.  It has the blinds installed between the panes.  Dennis at Clear Window said this was the best door he offered and we agree it is top notch. It is definitely tight and while our old door didn't seem to leak, we can tell that this one is keeping the cold air out better. The door slides so smoothly... it's just wonderful. The frame and door and locks are all solid. And they even installed a foot lock that lets you prop the door open a few inches, to let in some air, while knowing it can only be opened after your toe taps the lock. All of this, and to top it off, not only is it Made in America / Made in USA, but it's also Made in Missouri, by Target Windows & Doors, in Vandalia, which is near Mexico and Hannibal. Thank you to all at Target Windows & Doors for making such a fine door. Thank you to Dennis at Clear Window Technology for such a fine install, and for being an all-around professional in educating us on what to buy and getting it for us and for the nice install!

He said to go to County Glass and Mirror instead. Well, he said go to the place on Manchester and I'm guessing this is it. When I got to County Glass and Mirror, they were in the middle of a power outage. I still go service. The employee grabbed a pen and paper (gasp), did math on a calculator (or a phone's calculator... it wasn't totally 1995 in the store), and then they called me about a week later to tell me it was ready for pickup. They didn't try to upsell me. They didn't give me multiple options. This is the one kind of glass for this thing and I was happy with that. I was in and out in 5 minutes at most both times I visited The prices seem good. The glass is great! I should have done this years ago, but I didn't know it would be this simple. I will go here first the next time I need glass.

They ripped off all of my door trim/casing and sat in their trucks for *90 MINUTES* without a word. Came back: "we have a problem".
