After an initial delay from when I was told they could come out (thankfully I managed to work through the delay), George Jr. came out. He was extremely thorough and methodical. What was expected to be a circuit breaker issue was quite the puzzler... and even George admitted it was challenging finding the issue (GFCI plugs are a pain). But...2.5 hours later, the problem was resolved, and the price was very fair. Info is saved in my address book the next time I need an electrician! read more

Marcus came to my house for electrical issues I had regarding work done by another electrician. Marcus was very informative and gave a competitive price compared to other electricians. I have done multiple jobs with "Marcus" for example installing fan, dedicated lines for outlets, adding outlets, install ring cameras etc. I will be using him for all future electrical work needed and recommending to family and friends. read more

Not the company it used to be. Had them do some work on my home seven years ago, and they were great. Recently, called for another project and had to leave a voicemail after a generic prompt. Got a call back from what I'm guessing is now a one-person operation. An appointment for a quote was made. I was asked to text my contact info, which I promptly did. Appointment time came and went; a no-show with no follow-up. A follow-up from me a couple days later was initially met with confusion. After I explained the situation, no further response. Looking forward to the "excuse" that'll be posted following this review. UPDATE: Ah, the eagerly-awaited response has arrived! To clarify the record with the truth, I in-fact texted the requested contact information TWICE; once within 10 minutes of our initial phone conversation, and again three days later when I followed-up. C'mon, A M & G, do better. read more

Terrible service and not trustworthy. Was not going to post because didnt want to affect his livelihood but so upset. Just threw $1000 down the drain & he still wanted to charge us more. Sadly, our regular electrician wasn't available. Called George in desperation bc our living room, dining room, kitchen lights and bedroom outlets went out. George told us "the houses electricity was a mess" and "we needed new breakers" . In desperation, we accepted him to do the work thinking it'd fix the problem. They even went up to the attic and claimed to need a roofer, but that's another story. They did something the first time that made the power turn back on. Only it happened 2 more times. By the 3rd time, called our trusted electrician back who told us to call Edison so they can diagnose the problem bc voltage coming into our home from Edison wasn't consistent. Edison just came by and confirmed that the connections on the pole were bad and that the pole has a bad transformer, which needs to be replaced. Finally, problem resolved. Edison's 2 guys and our trusted electrician also said that the breakers did not need to be immediately replaced. While not a bad thing they were replaced, they were not the correct brand (square D). George is also very unprofessional. He was sending some rather rude texts that I prefer not to share. I was not home on 2 occasions which meant my husband was with my toddler and infant son (elderly mom present but not able to help) and asked George to please call me with any issues or updates. George continuously prompted my husband to go outside to show him the work he was doing - which again, wasn't even theee problems in the first place. They opened up a bunch of outlets and left a mess for us to clean up later too. Also, I didn't know this but glad I do now. IF EVER YOU EXPERIENCE A POWER OUTAGE, CALL SCE FIRST SO THEY CAN DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM PROPERLY. Edison may be able to fix it (like they did today for me) or they may recommend you hire an electrician. ----------- Hi George, Can you please provide your side of the story and clarify how exactly I am being dishonest? Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks! Also, potential customers. Be careful with him even using your restroom. Does not life toilet seat and leaves a mess around the home. You will definitely have a lot to clean up after he leaves. ________ George, Thank you for your feedback. I understand you cannot please everyone and I completely agree. Please do not pretend to be concerned with the wellbeing of my boys when you had my husband pretty much leave my boys unattended with the many things you wanted to show him on the multiple days you were present. However, do not label me as someone who will not pay. I will gladly pay and tip for a job well done - as I have done for this who properly addressed our electrical issues. Customers, please note that the work supposedly done in the attic (those mentioned in the comments) absolutely did NOT fix the problem for which he was called for... a 3rd time. Our trusted electrician and Edison were able to diagnose & correct this with just inspecting the panel and the pole. read more

Long overdue review! George was AWESOME! He installed our hardwired Ring Doorbell, did not charge us an arm and a leg and did great work! He gave us a fair estimate, was honest, thorough and very professional. I am very pleased with how my project turned out and will definitely call George for any other electrical issues that come up. George Jr. and Marcus came to help us with the Ring camera system (3 cameras and a doorbell), they were on time in the morning and quoted for the project. After we said YES these 2 guys quickly made a Home Depot run and started to pipe the wires. They worked for a couple of hours, patient and professional !! They did a great job and made sure everything is good before leaving. Awesome guys! Helped us a lot during this Pandemic, what they've done is the best way to keep my family safe!! read more

We had a light switch sparking badly and this company was able to come within 2 hours. Same day service is rare, so between that and the great customer service, I'm giving a 5-star rating! George Jr. and Robert were super professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They quickly fixed and replaced the switch. And they also replaced another outlet that wasn't working. I will definitely call these guys if we have any electrical needs in the future! read more

I had a non-urgent project that was needed at my home. George Sr. first tried to help me with a possible solution that I could do on my own before offering his solution, which I appreciated. Whenever you call someone and they try to help you fix it yourself, it's a good value. When it became apparent that my garage would require a more involved solution, he spent a long time over multiple phone calls, sending me a diagram to help me understand the situation. This was largely because I was not too familiar with electrical system. While I still have not come up with a final plan, I've spent enough time on the phone with George Sr. to know that he deserves a great review. He seemed very knowledgeable and thoughtful, thinking from the side of the customer. read more

We had some outlet issues and the previous electrician came by and blamed it on our microwave. When we called George, he was quick to set up an appointment to troubleshoot the issue. He was courteous, friendly, and explained what he was doing and looking for. He was also very family-friendly and interacted well with our curious kids. Through a systematic way of checking for the problem, he was able to find the source of the issue and resolved it. He's my go-to electrician now. read more

Five stars for five star installation, customer service, and overall experience. Very happy to have a found a local family business that is licensed and so professional. I had 13 new outlets installed a ceiling lamp. Total price was fair and competitive. Marcus and Julian were on time and even a bit early and got straight to work. Marcus is extremely professional and is sensitive to your home and being clean and careful with the surrounding areas they are working with. They will be back and I highly recommend for all electrical needs. read more

Update: I called again because same garage gripe was happening. They quoted me for a visit two days later, but soon after George the owner called and said he would dispatch someone by today. The electrician arrived sooner than expected and was very professional and polite. He diagnosed what the issue was and fixed it right away. It was a simple disconnect of a GFCI in the same circuit as my bathroom. Originally Somehow, garage gfci and bathroom gfci were wired in connection with each other, which was odd. Apparently this did the trick, as the garage electric is still working perfectly. Thanks again AM&G!! read more

Hired them to figure out what was wrong with a light that was not working. They Found out it was hooked up improperly. After years of it not being turned on, they adjusted the wiring and fixed it in less than 20 minutes for a minimal cost. I was just excited i could use the light at night. Thank you! read more

We've used this company twice and are happy with the service and quality. First time we just needed a ceiling fan replaced and second time we needed a new 30 amp connection for our new RV. George Sr. came out within the day to give us a quote and pros and cons of our options. Couple weeks later (after Thanksgiving) they came out and his son, George and another young man (can't remember his name ) were very respectful and did the job quicker than expected while keeping quality. Our new 30 amp plug works great and we can have a family guest stay in the RV during quarantine if needed. We highly recommend their services! read more

I needed a licensed electrician to inspect the home I recently purchased. George came to my home on Saturday. What I found borderline sexist and inappropriate was that the way he talked about my personal life. I found it deeply unnecessary and unprofessional that he pried about my marital status and family history, my family of origin. He did not give me the receipt or invoice for 350$ I paid in cash and he didn't email me the estimate he promised. I wish I can get my money back. I didn't pay him to hear "Oh why you look nervous? Because you are the man in the house? Get married!" read more

We had a lot of electrical work to take care of and I'm so glad I found AM&G Electric to help us. We got a quote and 2 days later, they were able to start the work. Cecilia was awesome to work with. She was super accommodating and made sure I was informed on everything. I had a lot of questions because a lot of the work was beyond my scope of knowledge but she made sure I felt comfortable and explained everything the electricians were taking care of. I was quoted a certain amount for the attic cleanup but the work took much longer than expected. They still honored the original quote which I'm very thankful for. Shoutout to Marcus and Anthony for working super late to get the job done and ensure my family is safe. We really appreciate your hard work! I called AM&G Electrical and George Sr. came to my home to give me a quote. I needed help with installing additional outlets and lighting throughout my home. As a single woman, I was a bit intimidated and apprehensive about calling for a quote because I was afraid to get taken advantage of. I was referred by a family member who was very pleased with their work and customer service. George Sr. thoroughly explained his quote and what it included. He was very patient with my many questions and seemed to understand my weariness. Because he took the time to explain his services and was genuinely honest, I went ahead and scheduled his services. He maintained in communication with me throughout my project. AM&G provided EXCEPTIONAL services from the point of contact to the very end of the job. I would highly recommend AM&G Electric to anyone seeking electrical services. Thank you, again!! read more

AM&G was sent to us from our home warranty company, and I couldn't be more thankful. We were having flickering lights around our home (kind of crazy considering the time of year). This company took our problem seriously and came out right away. Thank goodness they did. George Jr. and Corey came out and did a VERY thorough inspection and didn't give up until they found the cause of the flickering. They fixed the problem and got us safe again. We have additional work to do, and are looking forward to working with them again. Very knowledgeable, quick to respond, fair pricing, clean, professional and thorough. Everything you look for when you need to have work done at your house. I cannot recommend them any more highly and would not hesitate to refer them out to friends and family. I would like to note that this is a family owned/operated business and it shows. They were priced fairly, valued our time, were courteous and left things just as clean as it was when they got here. They took their time and did the job right the first time without trying to upsell us on anything. Thank you George and Corey for everything today! Looking forward to working with you again in the future. read more

A M & G is my go-to for all my electrical needs. I have used them a total of 3 times now and will definitely be using them for any other projects that may arise. They're on-time, reliable, offer competitive pricing, and most importantly, deliver the cleanest and most pristine work imaginable. I work within the creative industry and am very particular when it comes to detail, I can assure you that this company will deliver the best work possible. Further, I am very appreciative that A M & G employees are taking safety precautions and following guidelines for COVID-19. I have been doing a lot of projects around my home and have had a lot of professionals over for quotes, etc. and am surprised by the amount of people that come without a mask. Lastly, George made sure that everything was done correctly, and that I was pleased with all of the work they had done. Again, I can't recommend A M & G enough. Thank you! read more

Had George Jr out, this time to run a line from a switch for some outside lighting. Was a little surprised by the estimate. A team of two arrived to replace my non-functioning wall outlet. They were pleasant, polite, and efficient, and got right to work. They fixed my outlet and pointed out a few opportunities for me, including swapping out existing bulbs for LED to improve energy use, and some outside wiring that is out of code. There was no hard-sell to fix the old wiring - just a warning of why it could cause a fire under the right circumstances, and an overview of how it could be resolved and a rough estimate of cost. They offered to work up a more formal estimate for me, but didn't pressure. I own an older home where the previous owner performed a lot of "self repairs" and remodeling, so I appreciate that they took the time to show me a few things that I might want to consider changing in the future. I'd definitely use this company again. read more

Let me begin by saying how greatly appreciative I am to the services AM&G electric provided to my family and home. Their customer service exceeds my expectations. Specifically, Jason, Marcus, and Anthony who installed recessed cans into the living and family room of our home. I was also in contact with Celita, who was cordial and communicative scheduling and providing the estimates over the phone and email. During the estimation process Jason, Celita and I discussed our ideas, projects, and priorities. Jason was able to observe our setup and quickly provide his thoughts and insight. We decided to pull the trigger on the recessed light installation. When Jason, Marcus, and Anthony came over, they worked diligently, effectively, and efficiently testing and confirming the existing wiring and solution to be implemented for the install. I'm very much a layman and they conveyed the technical details clearly and concisely educating us with the utmost professionalism, which I greatly appreciated. The project took about 1/2 to 3/4 a day. They also worked great with the painters who were working on the house at the same time. The install required minimal swiss cheesing of our walls and when we saw the finished product, both the electricians and painters had it cleaned up and seamless. I also want to point out that this is a family owned business and is ran with family values, who sympathized with our situation being a young family w/ a 3 year old moving into our first owned home. The safety and health of my family was prioritized. For example, the team identified a bad electrical outlet box, discussed it with my wife and I, and fixed it immediately. In fact everyone I communicated with was family. I want to stress this b/c I firmly believe a family owned and operated business has the culture and structure to really understand, work with and win their customers by building personable working relationships, which AM&G hit the nail on the head. We have other projects in the queue, which were already discussed and estimated with AM&G. There is no doubt that we will be returning customers when we are ready to pull the trigger. Special thanks to Jason for taking care of us and spending his own time walking me through some DIY stuff as well! God bless your family through these rocky covid19 times. read more

My house was having partial power outage and I initially thought it might be an issue with the power meter as it was displaying an error code. So I called SoCal Edison to have them take a look, but it turns out that the socket behind the meter was partially burned out and needed replacement. I didn't know any local electricians so I did a search on Yelp and found AM&G who was local to me. They also had excellent reviews so I decided to give them a call. George was very responsive and he came that same evening to look at the problem and gave me a quote the next morning. I was happy with the quote so I agreed to the repairs. They fixed the problem the same day and finished earlier than expected. I am very happy with the service and quick response I received from George and his company. I will definitely use them again and also refer my friends to them for any electrical repairs. read more

I contacted AM&G Electric to come fix an issue I was having with running power to an existing backyard floodlight that I wanted to switch to a camera enabled floodlight as well as a pool light that was not functioning. I found AM&G Electric recommended by others on yelp and I was glad I did. I contacted AM&G Electric and George was able to give me an estimate based on the description of issue I was having and I scheduled an appointment a few days later. I was greeted by George who also is the owner. He was very friendly and helpful and upon glancing at what he was doing and asking questions along the way, I could tell that George is very experienced and has done major electrical work. So It's nice knowing that the owner himself comes out even to do the smallest of jobs. George made sure I was satisfied with the issues before he took off to another major entire home rewiring installation job. Two stars are for their effort. Looked around for months trying to replace a broken bathroom fan. They were the highest and most rated electricians in my area, and had actual (now I doubt) good reviews about bathroom fan installations. I first called them in mid December and left a message. An immediate text said they would call back but never did. (Thinking back, I probably should have taken that as a sign SIGH). It was holiday season and I was frantic busy myself so I let that go. Called them again in mid January. Anthony came the next day for the estimation, he was professional and the quote was reasonable, so I agreed to hire them to replace a fan and upgrade another, a total of two fans. First I will give credit where credit is due: my existing bathroom fans/ducts were ancient designs with no compatible in-store replacements. So for 9 hours straight, the workers pretty much installed two individual brand new modern ventilation systems. Hence the two stars. Now, I wholeheartedly anticipated some minor scratches and damages to my bathroom ceilings. What I didn't expect was, the workers didn't bother first checking the attic and just cut from inside the bathroom, and cut exactly at a spot where the heating duct was and the fan obviously wouldn't fit. At the end of the day, my master bathroom ceiling had a giant eyesore/unprofessional failure, and my guest bathroom had an obvious "oh-snap-I-forgot-to-check-the-attic" cut. I complained to their secretary (a term they use not mine)(the same number that didn't call me back in December), she said she would get back to me, but after the weekend, POOF. read more

I was in a panic trying to find an electrician for an issue that became very dangerous at the house. I thought I wouldn't be able to find someone reputable, licensed and be able to come on the same day. I was so lucky when I came across the great Yelp reviews for A M & G electric. They also have a verified license on Yelp which makes it even more convenient. Everyone I worked with and spoke to was so helpful. From start to finish, it's been completely seamless. Cecilia made me feel completely confident in my choice of company to have my Tesla charger installed. She answered any questions I had and gave me an accurate quote for the work to be done. On the day of installation, Corey and Jason showed up on schedule and we're quick to assess the job. They made a minor adjustment to the price because of the panel on our house and the scarcity of parts.
