We had a great experience working with Valarie. She was responsive, easy to reach, and always happy to answer our questions. We especially appreciated how mindful she was of our budget--she suggested several creative options that helped us achieve a beautiful look while keeping costs manageable, patiently going through all of the options for aisle floral layouts and how the ceremony florals would be arranged. You could tell that she has had a lot of experience! Initially, one of the floral colors wasn't quite what we had envisioned, but as soon as we asked to replace it, she made the adjustment quickly and without any issue. The final arrangements were beautiful, and we appreciated her flexibility and willingness to make sure we were happy. On the day of the wedding, when we arrived all the flowers were perfectly placed and it was nice not having to worry about at least one critical part of the wedding that day. For future couples, I'd recommend providing an exact color palette or reference photos ahead of time to avoid any last-minute confusion. Overall, we were very pleased with her service, communication, and commitment to bringing our vision to life! read more

We had the pleasure of having Valarie as our wedding florist, and she did an incredible job of creating the florals we requested, especially last minute! We even added some additional items, such as our wedding arch and greenery to our welcome mirror. Valarie was upfront about potential tariffs affecting our final payment, but was still affordable and adorable. Our beautiful centerpieces went home with our guests and the flowers were a main attraction during our wedding. Thank you so much to everyone behind our dream florals. read more

So thankful for these gorgeous flowers on my wedding day! The delivery was seamless. She was super patient with every question I had even leading up to the wedding, even during the week of my wedding. Everything came together perfectly! I have followed her on Instagram ever since, however I am unfollowing because of the constant political posts. Wish she could keep political views and business separate. read more

I want to shout Valarie's name from the rooftops because she is such a wonderful person to know and work with. From the beginning when we had started to plan our wedding down to our intro call with Valarie, I knew we were going to be in good hands. She had all the advice to share with two beginners who knew nothing about flowers and she gave suggestions when we were clearly lost. She's quick to respond via email or text and was patient with us while we took our time to think things through. The most important thing to highlight here is Valarie listens. She doesn't brush off your concerns or questions and ask you to trust her as the expert, she listens and gives her insight but doesn't push you into anything you don't want. The florals for my cake and my wedding were top notch - the bouquet was so gorgeous that I wanted to cry. My bridesmaids were beautful with their matching bouquets and the photos scream its beauty. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with Valarie and I wish her all the more success in the future. read more

Beautiful, beautiful floral arrangements!! Consultation: We met Valarie to discuss our floral vision and she was SO detailed, organized, and professional. She took a lot of notes and asked for our inspo. She's also transparent with her pricing during the consult. Wedding Florals: my wedding florals were GORGEOUS! I loved the arrangements. They weren't exactly what I wanted, but because they were so pretty, I loved them anyway!! Communication: This is where/why I took away one star. Valarie is very busy (because she's very good at what she does), and while that's understandable, it does cause some anxiety during the wedding planning process. On several occasions, I'd reach out to her and wouldn't hear back for a while, or would have to text her again. She's very professional and apologized. At the consultation, she explained that before the wedding, she would send pics of the bouquets and any other floral pieces to me so that I could make comments and she could adjust if necessary. I didn't hear from her so on the morning of the wedding, I reached out asking for some photos, and she sent me photos of the bouquet (nothing else). I didn't bother asking for more photos of the other florals since it was already the wedding day and the timing felt too tight to make any adjustments. Thank goodness the florals were still very beautiful (didn't quite match my vision but beautiful nonetheless). All in all, the florals were gorgeous and Valarie is talented. I just put my trust in her and it worked out beautifully! read more

A Love's in Bloom was on the preferred vendor list at our venue (Boundary Oak), and I'm so glad we chose to work with them! Valerie was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I sent her a photo of my dress, and she gave thoughtful guidance on bouquet colors and shape to complement it perfectly. Their pricing was very reasonable, and I ended up ordering my bouquet, boutonnières, corsages, three floral arrangements for the ceremony arch, eucalyptus leaves for part of our reception centerpieces, and gutted rose petals. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful and truly brought our vision to life. I would absolutely use A Love's in Bloom again for any future events. Thank you, Valerie and team, for making our day so special! read more

Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the flowers, and we were blown away by how everything turned out. Danica and Adriel Wedding 04/10/2024 read more

We gave our eldest daughter and new son their dream wedding in March 2026 at Jefferson Street Mansion. Thank GOD we were able to do that. A Love's In Bloom was their preferred and included florist. I have screenshots of text messages of talks of "tariffs" causing costs to increase and how roughly 6 cake florals would increase costs by $100 due to tariffs. Over and above what was included, we simply added champaign colored wisteria. I wish we wouldn't have ordered it. She put so few. I was so glad we had the beautiful natural lavender wisteria that grows naturally at the mansion. In spite of her business/political agenda, the champagne color looked very nice mixed with the lavender. We probably would've done more with her if she didn't constantly rag on about the "tariffs." We went to look at her business social media so we could view her work... a normal practice. Her business Facebook page has anti Trump posts so it was obvious that her politics effected her ability to do proper business. Everyone has a right to their political views. But this was a wedding. Why bring it to our business dealings? Her major complaints and rants to us were that her South American vendor was affected due to tariffs. Why not use a local nursery anyway? We couldn't say that to her. SHE WAS THE FLORIST FOR OUR ELDEST DAUGHTER'S WEDDING. In all honesty, there are South American street vendors selling for less than her. And, for the very few, faux champagne colored wisteria, she charged us an additional $412. It was all a joke. We have 2 younger daughters. One who is 20 and our youngest, who is 16. They were their sister's maid of honor and one of her bridesmaids. They loved their sister's wedding. Without a doubt, we will be using a Wedgewood Weddings location for them as well if they want. Which they both seem to want to. I pray Wedgewood Weddings will use a different preferred florist if our other daughters' weddings are in this area. Of course, we had other florals, but it would've been easier to do it all within the package. Everything, including costs, would've been an A+++ if it wasn't for Valerie. In addition, we couldn't even express our disappointment until now. It was like we were held hostage because we just wanted it to be beautiful for our daughter's big life event change. We wanted to make sure Valerie at least did what she was supposed to, so we were quiet until now. read more

My husband and I had our wedding at the Bridges Golf Club over the weekend and had the best experience with Valarie & A Loves in Bloom. They are actually a preferred vendor of the Bridges, which is how I found them. When I got my first quote, I was shocked at how affordable the prices were, compared to other florists in the area! I booked with her very quickly after talking to her. I actually changed my "floral vision" a few months before the wedding and Valarie was nothing but professional and accommodating. I sent her a bunch of inspiration pictures and she executed my vision flawlessly! I absolutely loved everything: from the centerpieces, bride & bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and our biggest floral item--the gold circle arch. Everything was so beautiful! I highly recommend A Loves in Bloom because they know what they're doing, AND they're super affordable! Thank you Valarie & A Loves in Bloom! :) read more

Valarie was our Wedgewood partnered florist at Jefferson St Mansion, and much deserved !! She was quick to respond when I reached out via email. Any time I needed an update for our florals she updated our details promptly. Her expertise in the industry shows with her follow up questions about each person's outfit for the wedding day (to make sure the florals would match and be the right size). On wedding week, she would text with live time updates and final questions to make sure everything was perfect, and it was! Not to mention her prices are 100% reasonable and well valued. On wedding day, I truly shed a tear of happiness seeing how all the florals matched with the outfits, including my dog's magnet flower with the rest of the boys in the wedding party! My bouquet was everything I dreamed of - the color pattern, size, and hidden mickeys. Thank you again Valarie for bringing our florals vision to life! read more

Valarie's team came early on the wedding day to drop off everything - flowers for the altar, bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet, flowers for the parent tables, and petals for the flower girl. I was looking for a company to do a boutonniere for the honey for our upcoming courthouse wedding day, and A Love's in Bloom came up as they were local to downtown Martinez, where the wedding was taking place. Valarie's communication was friendly and helpful, and the boutonniere was able to be picked up a couple hours before our courthouse appointment. Valarie's sweet husband brought it out to our car, and the white rose looked beautiful and smelled divine! Valerie is amazing. She works with your budget and bringing your vision to life. Her and her team are awesome! We booked Valerie with our initial venue but had to move it due to COVID and the unavailability of our venue to accommodate us in 2021. We kept our relationship with Valerie and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were heavy on florals and she and her team delivered on that. Just to put things into perspective, a florist in Sacramento wanted the same price she quoted us at for a moon arch made of fake flowers... Valerie used real flowers. She also worked with our budget, if you're getting married financial obligations can increase everyday and she is aware of that fact. I would highly recommend her services! read more

A Love's In Bloom was a recommendation from a friend, and we were so pleased with how all the florals at our wedding turned out. We worked with a planner who did a majority of our communications with Valarie, so we didn't talk to her too much personally. They did the flowers at my wedding and they were beautiful!! I love flowers and so florals we're the most important decor. We did a zoom meeting to let Valarie know our colors and if we had any photo inspiration. I showed her the colors and my Pinterest board during our zoom meeting. We did a lot of back and forth emails because I wanted to make sure the flowers would be perfect. Me being a worrier, I asked to meet up for a last meeting before the wedding. During the final meeting, she was very knowledgeable. I did not have specific flowers in mind, but I told her how I wanted them to look, what specific colors, and how my bouquet would look. SHE DELIVERED!!! Omg at my wedding I was so in love with everything!! The floating floral arch at the ceremony, my bouquet and the bridesmaids, the centerpieces, and the sweetheart table. I loved that we were able to move the ceremony florals to the sweetheart table! Monies worth!!! read more

Wedding flowers can be so expensive and many florists were just out of our budget. I'm so grateful to have found Valarie at A Bloom in Love. She met with my matron of honor and me in person to discuss what I was looking for. Her quote was the lowest out of the 5 florists I contacted and not much higher than DIY options like Bloominous. I considered doing DIY flowers but it just seemed like too much work do tie everything yourself, keep the flowers fresh, and deal with transport. We ended up ordering 1 bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets (repurposed as centerpieces), 4 corsages, 7 boutonnieres, 1 sweetheart table arrangement, and 6 ceremony/aisle flowers (repurposed as centerpieces). The flowers were beautiful and so colorful. I wasn't sure if I had communicated my vision well and was pleased to see the end results. read more

Valarie is such a great vendor to work with and I have nothing, but positive feedback. Valarie was super kind to spend as much time as I needed with her and answered all of my questions. I had an almost 2 hour meeting the first time and she also provided time for me to meet with her a month up the wedding with my mother in law. Valarie has been in the business for a very long time and really knows how to make your vision come to life. I gave her photos of what I wanted and then verbally explained what I wanted for some as I didn't have examples. She was able to execute what I wanted perfectly. Valarie did an amazing job of communicating with other vendors she was working with on my behalf to ensure that everything would be set up properly. Valarie is not only knowledgeable, but she has affordable prices and really wants to ensure she can provide the vision you have to your budget. Valarie was wonderful to work with on centerpieces for our daughter' Sweet 16. She saw the vision and executed flawlessly! Highly recommend!

My wedding was October 2011. I tried to save money by making my own centerpieces and I wanted to make my own bouquets, but there was no way I could do that when I was flying home over 2000 miles and still assembling my centerpieces when I got there and having my bridal shower and rehearsal/rehearsal dinner all the day before my wedding. SO, I searched for florists. Valarie was on the preferred vendors list for the ceremony/reception site I had my wedding and she was the 4th florist I contacted in the area - and hands down had the best prices. I was a little worried about 'seasonal' flowers, but I trusted that the colors would go with my color scheme for my wedding. I had Valarie do my bouquets (myself and bridesmaids), arch spray and garland, flower basket with petals for the flower girl, boutineers for the men & ring bearer, and corsage/boutineers for the mothers. Her prices were the best by far and the total was at least 25%-50% less than what others had quoted me. She listened to everything I said and asked all the appropriate questions - I like that you fill out an information sheet (I was very detailed when filling it out so I think that helped) regarding your dress, the bridesmaids, etc. I did have a little trouble finding the place since she works from her house in Martinez, but I was glad she held the flowers for me till the morning of since my parent's house doesn't have a/c. She was super nice and came out to make sure I could find it and helped me load everything in the truck. Needless to say, I LOVED the flowers, they looked AMAZING. All of them. The pictures looked awesome and when I look back at them... I wish I had saved them or preserved them, haha. (I didn't want to spend the money, nor did I want to tote them on the plane back across the nation, but they were gorgeous!) read more
