OK. Since Pernell replied, I'll post my reply as well. 1) I didn't actually receive a contract, just verbal, so had there been an issue with the terms, we could've settled them respectfully and rebalanced the load. Dropping the load in the street is not a good answer. 2) My phone wasn't deactivated, I wasn't in a place with phone service. I told Pernell that I wouldn't be home, but if I needed to be there, when I would be there. Pernell and his colleague were the ones who continued to hang up on me and on the sheriff. I tried to call him repeatedly and he wouldn't talk and eventually started screening calls. 3) As we later discovered, Pernell does not have a contractor license for his business that we can find with the City of Glendale, the County of Los Angeles, or the State of California. All three entities, along with the Los Angeles County Sheriff have opened inquiries with this company. In fact, the Sheriff spent about two hours at my house after the materials were dumped attempting to contact Pernell to serve him and his company with misdemeanor illegal dumping. 4) I'm attaching text message screen shots with my exact messages. I never said it wasn't my fault, I said it "At this point, it's all inside vour dumpster, so it's your problem as much as mine." and then offered to settle the issue for $500, which I felt was very generous considering that was nearly the price I paid in the first place. As Pernell knows, I have attempted to contact him repeatedly to resolve this issue. I would welcome direct contact so we can work towards a resolution. Thanks! read more

Although I admire the sentiment and the ambition, A Junk Free Planet is a tall order. I am thinking we gotta hook Pernell up with Elon Musk and SpaceX for that one. I scheduled a pick up, and when they arrived I asked them to pick up the junk on the curb. They said they were going to bring the truck around, but two hours pass and they never returned. I called to ask what the status was, and was told they were told to not pick the junk up by a man that called them from my number. I work from home and have had my phone with me on my desk since this morning, I'm not a man, I don't live with a man, and my landlord is not a man. I said they might have me confused with someone else, and they said no it was me. we were moving a block down from our previous place and needed quick + efficient junk removal. pernell answered my call and gave me range of how much it would cost on the phone. i asked him to be there at 7am which for most people is not a time when you want to be working. i appreciated the willingness, and them being prompt and efficient. i believe the whole thing was done in about 20 mins which is amazing for someone who has to leave for work at 8am. i did encounter some issues with the transaction for payment and the reason i include this part is to show how pernell handled the situation. he worked with me to cancel charges on his end and was communicative the whole way through. i imagine it was frustrating for him as well because it wasn't his fault but the 3rd party entity he had been working with up until this point. i actually promised to leave a review but forgot when work got busy but i wanted to keep my promise because better late than never. sorry, this is so long so if you read all the way through thank you and i hope you have a lovely day :) read more
