OK. Since Pernell replied, I'll post my reply as well. 1) I didn't actually receive a contract, just verbal, so had there been an issue with the terms, we could've settled them respectfully and rebalanced the load. Dropping the load in the street is not a good answer. 2) My phone wasn't deactivated, I wasn't in a place with phone service. I told Pernell that I wouldn't be home, but if I needed to be there, when I would be there. Pernell and his colleague were the ones who continued to hang up on me and on the sheriff. I tried to call him repeatedly and he wouldn't talk and eventually started screening calls. 3) As we later discovered, Pernell does not have a contractor license for his business that we can find with the City of Glendale, the County of Los Angeles, or the State of California. All three entities, along with the Los Angeles County Sheriff have opened inquiries with this company. In fact, the Sheriff spent about two hours at my house after the materials were dumped attempting to contact Pernell to serve him and his company with misdemeanor illegal dumping. 4) I'm attaching text message screen shots with my exact messages. I never said it wasn't my fault, I said it "At this point, it's all inside vour dumpster, so it's your problem as much as mine." and then offered to settle the issue for $500, which I felt was very generous considering that was nearly the price I paid in the first place. As Pernell knows, I have attempted to contact him repeatedly to resolve this issue. I would welcome direct contact so we can work towards a resolution. Thanks! read more

This review is long overdue, but the lasting impression of the quality service and experience has stuck with me, so I wanted to honor my word and post a positive review. It's difficult to say anything that hasn't already been mentioned by previous reviewers, but I fully agree with all the compliments they've given. Pernell and his team bring a level of value, class and professionalism to an industry that doesn't always have the best reputation. They were prompt, friendly, and respectful--the list goes on! They made the entire process quick and painless, and were incredibly responsive to my many questions without ever making me feel like a burden. I believe this is a family-run business, which makes me appreciate their work even more. Highly recommend! Support these great people and their business! Thank you, Pernell and company read more

Pernelle and Jared were absolutely amazing. I had a HUGE amount of junk to haul away. They came the day after I called, worked quickly and efficiently (it was not an easy job), and were extremely friendly besides. Very straightforward pricing as well. Highly recommend these guys. read more

Although I admire the sentiment and the ambition, A Junk Free Planet is a tall order. I am thinking we gotta hook Pernell up with Elon Musk and SpaceX for that one. I will settle for a junk free house. Pernell and his crew were friendly, quick and efficient. Easy to communicate with and flexible with the scheduling, these guys made it painless to get rid of literally a ton of crap that had piled up in our basement. Pernell also impressed me by being able to push his dumpster backward straight as an arrow in the narrow space along side our house. You can tell he knows what he is doing. He was clear over the phone about pricing and his final number was right in line with his estimate. Hopefully we never have to deal with this much junk again, but if we do I will not hesitate to call A Junk Free Planet. read more

I was able to hire A junk Free Planet at the last minute after my family member passed. They haul away a stove, a refrigerator , hot tube, patio furniture and other household goods the same day. His prices were fair and he was very hospitable. read more

Scheduled a clean-up with Pernell, and he texted to confirm the day before. Morning of, he and Jared arrived, and we did a quick walk-through of what I wanted out, and then they quickly went to work. Super quick service! Their prices are clearly laid out on their website, no surprises, and Pernell even made sure to guide me there so I had clear expectations going in. These guys are a relief during a stressful move-out, and I'll be keeping their info handy if I ever need to call again. read more

Pernell and his partner are great to work with. During my initial call she answered my questions and then sent me a follow up text confirming the pricing I was quoted along with a picture of the size of dumpster we would be getting. When we were ready about a month later Pernell booked a date/time with us. He communicated with me that morning that he was on his way. When the dumpster was full, he came the very next morning to pick it up. Again, on time! I did my homework before booking. Their prices are more than fair (the best I personally found) and the service is top notch. Highly recommend and will use them again for future remodel projects. read more

I've used Pernell's services twice now in the last week for a house clearance and he and Jared are not only quick and efficient, they're really lovely guys, too. They've been able to fit us in at short notice both times (it probably helps that he lives quite close to me) and are loaded up and on the road in no time. I have a few more loads to go and they are my go to team. read more

What a service: call in the morning at 8:45am and discuss the price and the load and it location , get him at my house in less than 30 min at 9:15am and get the junk out (bed frame) from my patio (make it easier on him) moved by him. Efficient, Straight and get the job done. He just got a new customer. His prices are on the web site with minimum load cost, so no surprise. I really appreciate the service knowing how difficult it is to get junk out on the same day. read more

I scheduled a pick up, and when they arrived I asked them to pick up the junk on the curb. They said they were going to bring the truck around, but two hours pass and they never returned. I called to ask what the status was, and was told they were told to not pick the junk up by a man that called them from my number. I work from home and have had my phone with me on my desk since this morning, I'm not a man, I don't live with a man, and my landlord is not a man. I said they might have me confused with someone else, and they said no it was me. I reiterated that it could not have been me, and the man on the phone became irritated, unprofessional, and aggressive. Would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
