I had a new queen bed delivered and needed to haul away the old one that was propped up in my driveway. The old bed was probably from when my family moved out of the Midwest during the early 1960s for the big new Space Race. Heavy duty, frame / the box spring was super heavy and the mattress was super floppy. With a heavy rain predicted in the next day or so, I needed this thing out of here as fast as possible. They were able to come out inside of a 2-hour window for the onsite estimate and would take it right then and there. I had called around, and Got Junk matched the lowest I found. I showed them the estimate and they matched it then and there, and here's a photo of their truck loaded up with my mattress and box spring up at the top of the pile. I had a large treadmill that I wasn't going to be able to move with me. I also couldn't move it myself out to the curb for a charity to pick it up. 1-800-Got-Junk sent two people out who gave it a look-over, and gave me the unfortunate news: it was too large to remove in one piece. I had originally ordered the treadmill online, and paid for a delivery service who would put it together. Unfortunately when it was built, those folks didn't let me know I wouldn't be able to get it out when I was ready to move. So 1-800-Got-Junk ran me through the pricing for a treadmill removal + labor cost to take it apart. It was a reasonable rate, so I agreed. We rescheduled for later in the week, two different people came, and they took it apart over the course of about 30 - 45 minutes. A sad day for my treadmill, but I was thankful that they knew how to take it apart and tackled the task at hand. They were very kind, and also mindful of me asking them to keep my front door closed when possible so my cats don't run out. read more

The guys were great in that they let me know they were running late but they showed up with a full truck knowing full well that I had a couch, secretarial, tool chest, and dresser. They offered to go to the dump and come back but I was over it at this point. I'll find someone else that shows up with room in their truck. What a disappointment. read more
