The best Asian food in Idabel. Now hold on.....that may not sound like much in such a small town. However, this locally owned (Vietnamese owned) restaurant has been around for decades and everything they serve is so good and includes some pretty good American dishes as well; including delicious steaks. I love to get the Cajun chicken pasta with the mushrooms in a creamy sauce. I like to get it spicy. So very good. My favorites though are the beef pho (PERFECT), the Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef and the scrumptious dumplings. Ok, so try ordering just six of those dumplings and see how that works out for ya! Just order a dozen, ok? They are served piping hot and are accompanied by a delicious homemade dipping sauce. The Mongolian Beef includes many delicious vegetables and the large portion is served with an equally large portion of fried rice. The service is attentive and friendly. They truly care that you enjoy the food. The interior is simply decorated. However, there are numerous lovely paintings that were painted by the restaurant owner. Such a nice touch! I have been going to this restaurant for years when passing through Idabel. Prior to COVID, AJ's had a buffet set up in addition to the menu items. I enjoyed the buffet and miss that sometimes. There were numerous Asian and American dishes as well as a salad bar and AWESOME bread pudding. However, the absence of the buffet does not take away from the experience. This is the only pho place I know of in town. The Pho was not bad. Really friendly, good people.

The inside needs some work, it's dis shoveled, the food was below average, the rice was hard, the pork chop is poor in quality and extremely overpriced. The service is below average, no drink refill offered. One of the few places to eat American food on Sunday, need to remove all the extra equipment. Move the equipment to the back. Good food! Good service in Idabel oklahoma! Great food selection, love the Shrimp ya ya pasta, delicious cajun pasta. Sauce is creamy and yummy, love the mushrooms and onions. Steak nicely grilled with the grill marks, i love it. Country fried steak super tasty, huge portion comes with homemade mashed potatoes corn and a roll. The best pho in Idabel!! Not a lot of asian food around this area, at least this is very good authentic asian food. The asian chicken rotisserie is also delicious, i love the sauce they marinate the chicken in, super flavorful. Overall A++ price is right!! read more

I want to give AJ's a five star for their oriental food, however, my visit had a few problems that I will touch on in this review. I want to start with the good first, before I get to the nitty gritty of the bad. I got the Beef Mongolian and it was simply amazing. Not much to say here. My mother's dish however, was loaded with issues. The corn on the cob felt over cooked, the patty was a frozen soybean patty, the mashed potatoes were watery (indicative of a mix), and the gravy definitely was a mix as well. This dish is straight up a 3/5 at best. One other small issue is that this nice older Asian lady (presumably an owner) tried to tell me that it was homemade (regarding the American food portion of our experience). She seemed mad that I had issues with it. I am terribly sorry and with all due respect, this has to be a straight up lie. My family is four generations into cooking southern food in the United States. Please do better. I love your oriental food. Over all, in my personal opinion, this establishment is more than worth a visit. Just stay away from their American type food if you're picky about whether or not things are frozen or an instant mix. The butter used with the mashed potatoes could have been better quality as well. read more

Best food in Idabel/Broken bow area by far!! I love coming here, not just for the food but because the owners are great people and I am always happy to give them support and business. The chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, and pho are my family and I's favorites, but i've heard great things about the Mongolian beef and cajun pasta. I like to get an order of the dumplings which are really good and have a nice dipping sauce. Also!! some of the dishes can be made to be spicy, so that adds some yummy flavor as well. They seem to always have a daily special which I think is pretty fun, and even though their specialty is asian food, they have a good selection of classic american foods. Sometimes they get pretty busy, but the owner(who is also the chef) always comes out and personally apologizes if the service isn't super fast! Overall they are an amazing addition to the area and I hope that they continue to have success. read more

The pho here is great! I have also heard good things about the pork chops and chicken teriyaki! Quick service and tasty food.

There was a little blinking sing saying: 'Pho' For all Vietnamese food lovers. They are selling Pho!! What the Pho?! The sprouts and Thai! Basil were crackly fresh. Idabel has pho! Yay!! They have Pho! I would give them five stars, except they only have one kind. Brisket and Meatball. The serving is enormous. The vegetables were fresh. I wish they had lime and jalapeños on the plate. We will be eating here often. read more

You ideally go to a steakhouse for the environment. This is not an ideal steakhouse you want to go to but there is no alternatives in this town. You have three choices and this place is okay. That have variety of a steakhouse (only rib-eye), Chinese food, and burgers. I wouldn't pay $20 for the rib-eye here. There is a slight language barrier with the English. I ordered Chinese sweet and sour chicken and have to get a to go box as they give you plenty. Help is very friendly. Next time I'm going to try a steak. My wife likes the buffet but I've only ate there when it wasn't setup so call and check 1st. read more
