I booked a van through Black Tie months in advance and paid the full amount due up front. I was…read moregoing to use the van during a birthday trip to hit a number of local wineries and breweries. At the time I booked with them, I didn't know the precise address of our VRBO property so I told them I would get them that address ASAP. Black Tie called me the day before my scheduled trip to remind me about the address. I called them back immediately to give it to them. However, the voicemail I received from Tom was incredibly snarky and sarcastic. One direct quote: "VRBO properties encompasses two counties up there in the Pocono Mountains, so if we go around to a couple of their different 237 spots that they have listed, it could take us most of the day to find you." I get the point - you need the address. There is no reason to be snarky. However, this alone would not have warranted a 1-star review. The next red flag was on the morning of the trip. I received a call from the driver who was asking me a million questions encompassing all of the information I had already provided. I had given them our address, but he was pushy because I hadn't provided the zip code. He asked me to verify the order of wineries and breweries, but when I did it by name of the winery/brewery, he interrupted and asked me to do it by city. So I had to look up the document I provided to them months before to do so. It seemed clear to me that they didn't want to take this trip or were somehow unhappy with the pricing we had agreed on months before. The final straw was at 11:41AM - 19 minutes before they were supposed to pick us up (at the address we had provided the day before) - I received another call from Tom. He told me that the water pump in the van broke and that they didn't have a replacement vehicle so he would be refunding my money. While I get the refund, that doesn't fully rectify the issue, since I was left without transportation for the day. If this had been something more important - like a wedding - I'm sure I would have insisted that they rent a vehicle or do something to provide the scheduled service. However, given their bad attitudes and pushiness, I decided to take the money and hope that the check didn't bounce. I will never use this company again and I would be reticent to recommend them to anyone given their last minute cancellation.

Tom went above and beyond for a surprise trip birthday weekend…read moreme my sister and brother pre- planned for or father who is 82 years old Tom was supposed to take us to Philadelphia both ways but our circumstances changed at the last minute. I quickly got ahold of Tom and he took us to NYC. I explained to him my dad had not seen my brother in over 3 years and Tom showed up with a party bus so we could all see each other and spend quality time together. Tom's son-in-law Tony picked us up in Philly, plans changed again my sister broke her kneecap while in NYC just before getting on the Amtrak. He took my sister to the hospital without any hesitation. Well you can see how accommodating Tom and Tony were and the personal care that was given to me and my family. I will definitely recommend Black Tie Luxury Limo to family and friends and definitely use them in the future Thank You for excellent service!!
