A number of people from our church in Watsontown were able to connect with Catawese Coach Line in Shamokin & join a tour group going to Lancester to the sight & sound program on Wednesday, Dec. 6th. We were informed the trip would take about 2 hours to get there. We would be stopping at a McDonalds for breakfast, go to the show, have a meal at a restaurant, & come home. We drove to Lewisburg to pick up the bus, which made sense to me, got on the bus about 6:30 a.m. Went to Shamokin Dam, picked up people, Again this made sense as it was on the way. Then we proceeded to Shamokin, picked up people, Kulpmont, picked up people, Mt. Carmel, Ashland, all the time picking up people. We finally made it to the show over 4 hours later. Did not stop at McDonalds for breakfast, as we were running late. We did have a very quick pitstop at a Burger King. Just made the show. Afterward we did have a meal at a restaurant. I suggested going home up 15 to Lewisburg, drop us off & the bus could go on its way back to Shamokin. No. The bus driver said he got paid by the hour & we were going home the same way. If we had been informed the trip would be longer for whatever reason we could have been prepared. But to be on a bus to Lancaster 8 hours, just so the bus driver could get more hours is a bit much. Bad for business, bad for customers returning. If this is how Catawese runs its business, they won't be in business for long. I gave the manager, or owner a chance to return my call but he never did. Consequently, this review. I will never trust this company again. Vicki Egli read more
