A cute B&B with a few rooms downstairs, the kitchen, sitting area and one bedroom plus the "Alaska…read moresuite" upstairs. There's a sign on the swinging door meant to notify guests that its the door to the Alaska Suite (I don't know if that actually deters anyone from using the bathroom that's right past the swinging doors). The kids bedroom and the master bedroom are on either side, both with combo locks. Not sure how "secure" this setup is, especially for ones that truly have little ones staying in that room. The beds were so soft and squeaky, none of us got a good nights rest. They did a good job with the decor in all the common areas, bedrooms and bathroom. The two dilapidated RVs in the back of the property were quite the eyesore though. 100% contactless check in and out. I received a code via email 15 minutes before check in at 3pm and instructions later on how to check out. My parents were stoked to find the help yourself well stocked fridge and pantry items for breakfast. They cooked themselves some soft boiled eggs in the early AM and were happy campers.

I felt unsafe and I'm pretty sure there are some health and fire safety violations.I took pictures and sent them to Expedia to no avail. The bed was squeaky, there were stains on the carpet and it was stinky. The refrigerator was full of rotten things. It was a basement room and the toilet was on a weird pedestal The owner was the nastiest business person I've ever talked to. Actually she sent me nasty texts after I called Expedia. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I would give ZERO stars if I could…read more The property is comfortable and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owner is the problem. We booked months in advance to stay here at the beginning of our trip to Alaska for 2 nights and 1 night at the end of our trip. After our 1st night the owner stated she needed to speak with us about the reservations we had made for the last night of our trip. When we met with her she stated that she is bumping us to allow for another customer to stay there instead for a week, as opposed to us only staying for a night. Not only is this unprofessional but on top of it all, she was extremely rude about it. This is very poor customer service and business ethics. When we mentioned this to her she stated that it is commonly done and basically we just needed to get over it. She gave us one of her friends contact info for a rental opportunity that was $40 more than what we had reserved with her. The entire encounter made the 2nd night of our stay uncomfortable. We felt unwelcome and awkward. I do NOT recommend Swiss Efficiency Accommodations.

I would caution anyone to read the message boards in regards to this Bed and Breakfast. I paid a…read morecash security deposit, signed a lease, and waited a month to move in to Swiss Accommodations. I was not told that they have someone who lives adjoining their garage, as well as another permanent guest who lives some where upstairs, that my unit not only was not secured with a deadbolt, but that the owners have come into my unit without permission. One of these instances, she even emailed back to say I had left the door unlocked. I had been given two sets of keys upon moving in, but only one worked for my unit. I made sure to give the other set back, as who knows to whoms unit they actually went. I have always paid rent on time, and have never once had an over night guest, or any loud noises, but have been continually harassed for months with emails. The last straw was being told they needed to come and look at the drain in my shower, due to leaving on an extended vacation. Mind you I had gone over three weeks without a working toilet.... They live in the building, and thus know my schedule. The owner via email insisted on an exact time that I would be at work. When in truth, they have never left on said vacation. I will only hope that they return my cash security deposit, but have yet to have one ethical dealing from them.

I highly recommend this lodge if you're in Anchorage, Alaska. We had a beautiful room and even had…read morethe use of a lovely porch/balcony where we drank wine and watched the sunset on Alaska. I'm very picky and I loved the atmosphere of this bed & breakfast! Can't wait to go back!

We have never stayed in a B&B before this, so that may impact our review a bit…read more We arrived back in Anchorage a bit earlier than expected and hoped for a checkin time ten minutes before the listed time. No one was there yet, so we waited outside until 4 o'clock. When the designated two-hour checkin time arrived, we were greeted by the owners who were lovely and accommodating. Our room was as expected, though we felt a bit like we were visiting our grandparents' home. (No shoes allowed, and the home was eerily quiet.) We had hoped to relax and unwind in our room, but we discovered that our room did not have cable, only a DVD player. I believe some rooms have cable, but ours did not. There was a common area with cable and we were able to utilize it. It wasn't the same as relaxing in our own private space, but it worked for the one night we were there. Breakfast in the morning was family style, which was unexpected for us. The meal was great, the hosts were outstanding, and the company turned out to be exceptional. We actually stayed beyond the breakfast hours, as we were having a great conversation with another couple visiting the area. So, overall it was a great stay. The only downgrades are because we couldn't access our room ten minutes early, and because we didn't have cable in our room.

Absolutely wonderful. First of all, the house is amazing. It's a lodge style home in the hills…read moreabove Anchorage, and it has decks all around, so you can have a perfect view of Cook Inlet and Flattop mountain. Inside, the living room is huge, with cathedral ceilings and exposed wood beams. The place is spotlessly clean, and the owners have attended to every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Guests can use the living room, tv, and deck, and you have limited use of the kitchen (due to B&B health code requirements, I think). They have a mini fridge for you to store your food, and you can use the microwave. I stayed in the Moose Trails room, which is decorated in a moose theme (of course). The bed is great (brand new mattress), with a cute stuffed moose to keep you company. There is a small tv and some Alaska videos to watch. The bathroom is shared with the next room over (it's attached), and is stocked with plenty of clean fluffy towels. The room has a view of the mountains out back. The breakfasts here are amazing. I got a full home cooked breakfast every single day. The menus included french toast (with a choice of maple syrup, strawberry rhubarb syrup, cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar), reindeer sausage, western style eggs, hash browns, breakfast burrito, and toast. Fresh fruit was also at the table every morning, as well as juice, milk, and coffee. All in all, it was a wonderful experience staying here. The owners are great people and gave me a real Alaska welcome. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

After each, the host/cook Del Ann asked for desired choice for the following day, can't ask for any more accommodations. We rented both the upstairs bedrooms which share a "jack&Jill" bathroom between us. There is a lower floor Room with it's own bathroom, and there is 1/2 bath off the kitchen, which I took advantage of when my daughter occupied the upstairs bathroom. View is spectacular! Yard is "park like". Your extremely close to Chugash trail system. access up and down the hillside via O'Malley or Abbott road puts you minutes from airport/downtown (but there was allot of construction Abbott during our visit). We would definitely stay again and recommend. Mathison's Renton Wa
