Since it's a simple piercing, I didn't want to shell out big bucks to go to a specialized piercing parlor but I also didn't want an infection from somewhere inexperienced or uncertified. Thanks to Yelp I found the perfect middle ground at Just Pierce It. Located right at the Queens Boulevard entrance of Queens Center Mall, Just Pierce It is a kiosk that's bright, clean and easy to find. They also do some creative rearrangement of the display cases to have a small, semi-private piercing area. They take appointments on Yelp and when I did, I got a very pleasant worker who called me to confirm the time. It definitely didn't seem necessary to make an appointment but it does get busy. My piercing was done by a female piercer who took a great deal of time to examine my ear and explain the process. She was gentle, patient and knowledgable and even noticed that my original piercing had split some cartilage because it was far up my lobe, which is why the re-piercing was tougher than usual. After the piercing, she did a great job talking about aftercare and mentioned a follow up in 2 weeks if needed. Prices are very reasonable and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Another thing I really liked about Just Pierce It is how open they are to telling customers if a particular piercing they're asking for would require them to visit one of their other locations instead of the kiosk because of the extra set up and equipment needed for safety. I will definitely be recommending it to others.

After selecting the jewelry, I'm in the room with Elaine and everything was explained to me thoroughly. There was such a joyful warmth in how Elaine spoke that it completely relaxed me. The owner, Kevin, was extremely prompt and kind both during my initial reaching out and during my appointment. He also had developed a piercing bump on the outside and inside of his nose. Unsure what to do, we went to see Peter for some help. His calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge helped us tremendously! Peter treated my son's nose and changed the jewelry. He even took the time to explain that we should slightly change the angle of the piercing for a better looking piercing in the future and more optimal healing g experience. He drained both bumps on the spot! We left feeling so much better and the piercing was on its way to better healing. He was quite clear in his healing instructions which we followed to a tee.
