I've FINALLY found a new auto mechanic whom I can trust to not take me for a ride; in the…read morefigurative sense, not the literal sense. Thankfully, I haven't had much reason to visit a mechanic in a few years but of course, these lucky streaks don't last forever; my 2006 Mazda was making some loud noise when I turned and I was told that it was a wheel bearing by a friend. Also, reaching speeds of 65 mph or greater, my car/steering wheel begins to shake and pull to the left... plus I figured with the mileage (87K) I probably needed a tune-up. Jimmy was great with calling me and keeping me up to date with everything he was going to do, before he was going to do it. After he assessed that it was, in fact, the passenger side wheel bearing that needed to be replaced, he quoted me full price with parts, labor and tax to make sure I was comfortable with it. He also told me he'd check to see if I truly needed a tune-up before doing one and that he'd let me know before he did any further work; it turns out that I didn't need a tune up and won't for at least another 20k miles or so. He was very transparent in the fact that yes, I did need an alignment but more importantly, I need 4 new tires so he suggested I not do the alignment and just get the new tires before the winter time which would take care of all of the issues I'm seeing with the pulling and shaking. Folks, you won't find honesty like this with a mechanic all that often, trust me... I've done the leg work. He was very friendly, quick and efficient. I will FOR SURE be bringing my car back to Jimmy for any future service needs I have.

They told me that it was a front wheel bearing and hub and wanted to charge around $450. I was referred to B and L from a co-worker and when I called for an estimate, Dave picked up was very friendly and told me that it would be 287$! I scheduled an appointment for the next day, brought it in early and in less than 2 hours, they gave me a correct diagnosis (loose wheels [which Firestone had put on], leaking power steering fluid) and they put on my passenger side view mirror for just $80! I am definitely taking my car here again. Great customer service and as of now no noise in my car! Thanks Dave! Thanks B and L!

Not only that he fixed an exhaust problem that would have prevented an inspection sticker as well as replacing a ball joint and tire. A good mechanic is one willing to do troubleshooting and diagnostics on your car and not merely replace things using computer error codes! This was also done for considerably less than if I brought it to Meineke or Firestone, which was going to be at least $400-600 more for the same amount of work.
