ALERT HOUSTON !!! I hired GRADY B to cut a piece of bead board to glue behind on the wall of the…read morehalf bathroom under the stairs. Not a hard task. Well, what a disaster this person is. First, he is very old and he and his brother stink so badly it's offensive to come into someone's home with that stench. They miscalculated and cut the bead board wrong and had to go to purchase another piece. Instead of installing one full piece of board, which was the goal, they split the board down the middle. It looks like bullshite and very amateur. Grady B scratched up the side wall and knocked a little chunk out of the sheet rock. To continue to make matters worse, Grady B broke a large candle stick with his bulky ladder that was actually moved out of the way for safety. He didn't tell me he broke it, not did he confess about the scratched up wall. After 3 hours of blunderbussing around I asked him to leave. He broke my property, ruined the wall I have no touch up paint for, and installed the bead board incorrectly. I won't even mention that Grady B completely misunderstood a request to hardwire lights on the dining room wall. I dont like to be ugly, but this person is also one of those obnoxious " know-it-alls" that doesn't know squat and is not worth the risk and aggravation to have in your home to fix, repair, or install anything. Don't trust this persons skill level.

I like companies that are honest, realistic, and flexible. Matt, the owner, was quick to respond…read more and understood the extent of the plumbing issue (clogged main drain). I was quoted an extremely reasonable rate and together we formed a solid plan to solve the problem. He's a very capable guy that has expertise in several areas and a very talented team around him. I also had him do some electrical work for me. He offered several cost-saving suggestions and enhancements that could be done while we had things dug-up etc. Matt went the extra mile to ensure that I was happy with the work and that my expectations were met. Including cleaning up afterwards. To say I received great value for the money would be a gross understatement. I never imagined I could've received all I did for the price I paid, Including a healthy tip. . Service Worxs will be my first call for any kind of handyman project that I can't or don't want to tackle myself.

When he showed for the job, he was professional and fixed the attic door. It had a bent arm, and we were losing heat because the door didn't fully close. He spent time adjusting the springs and replaced (both) side arms to keep the weight and tension evenly distributed. He got it done and we were pleased with the end result. DRIED PAINT ON CARPET: The 2nd task was to remove spilled, dried in paint on carpet. We tried everything ourselves to clean up the stain, and even rented, "Rug Doctor". We thought our only hope was to remove the carpet and tile that floor to match our other floors. Jacop said that he thought he could remove the stains, and to our amazement, he got it done with a wire brush and the appropriate stain removal for dried in paint. Jacop saved us a lot of money, and thanks to his honesty and problem solving, we didn't have to tile that room after all. It looks like there was never any stains on that carpet. We are incredibly happy with the end result and the money he saved us on not having to tile that room! Jacop is not only efficient, but also honest. Thank goodness that he came up with a solution, rather than hitting us with an expensive tile job. We appreciated his honesty, which is rare these days! He's a very nice person and we would use his services again.

And they sprayed stuff over the wall which lead to 6-8" circles which had to be painted, instead of just filling in and texturing the hole. 2. Installed 90 LF of quarter round. Didn't bother to match existing quarter round found in the same room either. And painted it with existing paint that I had. 3. Repaired door trim which my dog chewed on, no complaints with work done here. 4. Removed caulk in a shower and bathtub, no complaints here either. 5. Applied 3LF of caulking to backsplash in kitchen. 6. Patched a few areas on the walls which furniture had dug into the wall during move, again spray texture was thick and created bumps in wall, greatly expanded area which needed to be painted. 7. Trimmed 3 blinds to fit into backsplash near kitchen. No complaints here. 8. Re-caulked area near mirror in bathroom, no complaints here. 9. Installed a door disc to prevent door handle from pushing into wall. No complaint. 10. They attempted to stain match the kitchen cabinets and they didn't even test it on the actually affected area. Then they took the stain and never returned it. I had to go with a different contractor to complete the staining of all kitchen cabinets to meet schedule. 11. Then they offered to fix my gas stove, which I authorized. They fixed the main burner and told me that even though the inner burner wasn't working, that I could fix that myself, as it just needed to clear up the ports. I swapped burners from left to right side, made no difference, which meant that that didn't need to be cleaned out and that the burner worked fine as is. After I took my gas stove apart, found the 2nd nozzle was clogged and I cleared it now the burner works as it should now. I removed several items of scope and added more scope, I was never provided any cost updates during the project, slapped with a much higher than expected bill and all of this for 3-4 days of work with 2-3 people working in the house. I have even requested a cost breakout for each scope item and all they will give me is 1 lump sum. No accountability and no quality of work. I would not recommend this shady company to anyone.
