I am filing this complaint against Dolbier Disaster Restoration (DDR ) for reasons that are listed…read morebelow. These events occurred while they were repairing our roof. A large tree limb fell onto our roof. It created holes in the shingles, sheeting and decking. The damages were covered by our home owner's insurance policy. The insurance adjuster allowed for replacing the shingles and sheeting on the entire roof and to repair the damaged decking. DDR was selected to do the repairs, they were provided with the adjusters' scope of damages--replace the entire roof and repair decking. I used the following terms to identify my view of the structure of a roof. Shingles are on top of the roof, sheeting goes between the shingles and the decking, we had two layers of sheeting, felt and titanium, decking are 4x8 sheets of wood that are attached to the rafters. The roof that was struck by the limb and authorized for repairs was one entire side of a gable roof. I happened to climb on to the roof and observed the roofers as they were working. This is what I observed-- 1. Approximately 1/3rd of the roof had been removed. The roofers were in the process of replacing this part of the roof. The balance of the roof was untouched. DDR was authorized by the insurance adjuster and myself to replace the entire roof. They arbitrarily opted to only do 1/3rd of the roof. Why would DDR replace 1/3rd when they were requested and authorized to replace the entire roof ? 2. I observed that the roofers were in the process of laying down felt paper. They were rolling the felt over a large hole. The hole was very noticeable- it was about six inches wide. A visual inspection showed the hole was also in the decking. The titanium was not present. It was very clear that the workers were going to cover the hole and not repair the decking. There were other holes in the roof. They had already covered these holes with the felt paper. There was no material on the roof to repair holes. It seems reasonable to assume that the other holes were not repaired-they were covered with felt. Later I found on the ground the piece of titanium paper that cover the hole, apparently the roofer cut it off and threw it over the side. It has a large tear where that the limb made I have this piece of titanium. I contacted DDR and advised them of this situation. A few days later a different crew arrived. They properly replaced and repaired the entire roof. A frightening thought --Without proper roof repairs, rain would continue to entered our home year after year. We all can envision the consequence of the damages this would have cause to our home. Thank goodness my 78-year-old body gave me the strength to climb onto the roof. I do wonder if this happened to a person unable to climb onto the roof, or assumes the repairing company would do what the insurance company felt necessary to properly repair their roof. Can you imagine what their life would be like when these defects was discovered ??? FYI, I've been in the property casualty and risk management insurance for over 40 years. My first job was a claims adjuster. I've worked with very honorable professionals. It is very difficult for me to imagine that companies can provide this type of service and walk away leaving the homeowner in a pickle while there were fully compensated. Thanks for taking time to review this matter. Regards, Tim Cummings, CPCU

Exceptionally gifted and talented. Draws out our needs, desires and wishes without shading…read more We are EXTREMELY happy and pleased with her work. My husband and I cannot express how gifted she is. He was skeptical at first but he constantly sings her praises. We invited her into our home to help us select a paint color for our interestingly shaped living room. We had just changed the floors from dark hardwood to light hardwood and the old color did not work. Also, we have a dark corner. She got to know us. She learned our needs and desires and was amazed that she looked/examined our home - the entire house - to understand it and us - the lighting, configuration and unchangeable items. She then asked me about 2 different color families - one I did not care for so we worked with the other - She started determining the color from our KITCHEN - I was amazed - I would have started out with the Living room area - but she started from an area where we had unchangeable things - such as the color of our tile floor, cabinet colors and our granite countertop. Let me tell you - our Kitchen finally looks complete and cohesive. It looks professional and very, very comfortable. We feel so much more comfortable in our home when friends stop by. Also, the color that we selected did wonders for our stone fireplace. My husband and I have called her at times just to tell her how pleased we are. I have to admit - it has taken me time to adjust to the color - I am very slow to change but the pleasure in her works grows all the time. She has also helped us select new furniture --- and the biggest thing was the color and fabric selection. We have a painting in the living room that we love and wanted to highlight- before it was hidden with the many conflicting colors that we had - and the new furniture now accents the painting. She also came to help us 'polish' up - placing our furniture and accessories in the right areas and picking up a few more but with a color & height scheme in mind while removing some items that did not work. She gave me the encouragement to replace a mantel that was lopsided and twisted. I was very afraid of the project but after seeing and experiencing all her wonderful work - we braved ahead - the change in mantel completely enhanced our living space. When she would come, I would take notes and then did as she said. She lovingly let us take the changes at our pace. But - She was RIGHT on all the changes. We value her opinion and even asked her about our outdoor window shutters. The house now is much more pleasing to our eyes. I also need to mention that she stayed within our budget. I cannot say enough about her talent and her warm & caring personality.
