So my results were put at risk because of her unavailability and then she fired me as a client instead of fixing the problem from my lipo surgery. We are in MD this isn't Hollywood where you fire clients or refuse to schedule them.

As a dark skin, melanated individual, it was important for me to find a knowledgeable aesthecian in the DMV who would assist me in maintaining my acne, without damaging my skin. In 2017, I purchased a groupon for micro needling, and never looked back, and here is why: (1) Personable & friendly staff who are not only invested in the services that they provide, but also invested in me as a person--whose made efforts to learn about my culture, goals, and future aspirations. (2) Each staff member is an educator who is extremely knowledgeable in their field and understands that every skin in not the same. Within the last 3 years, Bella has provided me with the scientific education to understand my skin, and the education to empower and support my self-efficacy in every decision I make. (3) Their membership program--Offering $79, $90, $99, and $150 dollar options. Personally, I've invested in the monthly $79 package, and every month i get a customized medical facial that targets my problem area--which for me is whiteheads. I always leave refreshed, rejuvenated, and glowing. Facials are extremely expensive, and these membership packages are a steal for the level of services provided--ex: micro needling, dermaplanning, enzyme facials & etc. https://bellaesthetic.com/product-category/memberships/ (4) Bella is Dr. Pimple popper her self. Listen!! Black heads, whiteheads stand no chance. The best extractor in the game. (5) Sara is the best receptionist! She is super attentive and responsive, and gets me right for my appointment every month. (6) Clean & Safe environment. My review only touches the top of the iceberg. Forever thankful for the progress my skin has made, and the confidence that I know have!!

I got a 50 minute massage, and Judy made sure to ask what I felt comfortable with beforehand and if I had any problem areas. During the massage I got warm pillows on my back, a heated massage bed, and when it was time to be on my stomach, something to cover my eyes, a warm neck pillow, AND the bed was adjusted for maximum comfort. All that being said, Judy used pressure in ways that got the knots out but didn't make me want to cry. She used multiple techniques (fingers/arm/etc??) at the same time so there were different pressures and feels as the massage went on. I have no idea how to explain it but she has magic hands! Trust me!

I went in as a walk-in, and asked if they accept walk-ins. The woman at the desk said it depended on the length of the massage. I asked for 30 minutes and she agreed. Led me back to the room, put the timer on and begin to work. She did not introduce herself or volunteer her credentials. She did not take a medical history, and never even asked my name. When she finished, I said thank you, got dressed, and met her at the front desk. when I handed her my credit card, she asked if I wanted to tip in cash, or put it on my card. I was floored. I told her I did not tip healthcare providers. She stated something like "you tip for massage." I said no. She looked so disappointed (seemed close to tears) that I changed my mind and told her to add 20%. Full disclosure: I have often tipped massage therapists in the past. But I had decided in advance to stop that practice. I don't tip my doctor or dentist, nor do I tip any of the paraprofessionals that work with them. I don't tip my chiropractor or his assistant. I don't tip acupuncture providers. Lest anyone think I'm a cheapskate, I am not. I never tip less than 20% in a restaurant, hair salon or nail salon. Since COVID hit, I have increased my tipping to 25-30 % for restaurant workers and food delivery people. That's it. I think it's incredibly rude to ask for tips.
