They lived up to their great reviews, from the initial contact phone call all the way to the conclusion of the installation of my new unit. Derek, the estimate technician who arrived at my home on April 23rd, was knowledgeable and addressed my questions and offered options. He was at my home for over two hours! He offered me several options, without pressuring me, simply explaining the benefits of each option. His willingness to explore my request to remove current water outflow pipe that had been on the garage floor for decades, presenting a safety risk, and route it another way outside was taken seriously and creatively. He took me through the plan and I was so pleased. The technicians who arrived the next day to do the install, Gary, James and Kauntes, were excellent workers. Gary was in charge and went over the plan with me in detail. He was able to troubleshoot a few issues and get the job done! All three of them were courteous and, without being asked, applied shoe coverings every time they entered the house. They cleaned up after themselves. Gary kept me apprised of their progress. They began working at approximately 9:15 am and did not leave my house until 6:15 pm. After spending at least an hour reviewing, he advised me to go with another professional that he highly recommende due to their expertise specific to my system. Yandry was extremely professional and courteous ( I might add, they both wore shoe covers). Upon completion, I inquired as to what I owed them, whereas Yandry simply said, " Nothing." Though the AC was under warranty would be a few days living on the sun before he could get it so I opted for the one available in his truck. This company installed our A/C and, ever since, this system has been giving us problems multiple times a year. After some research, I decided to call another company. Barry from Blue Bear came out and conducted a very thorough evaluation. He laid out all of our options clearly and showed us pictures and discovered our whole house filter wasn't changed by the previous company for a very long time, even though we have a maintenance plan. Barry got our A/C working at a much lower cost than expected. We found our new air-conditioning repair company and new technician. 5 stars for Blue Bear and for Barry!

They had availability for the very next day. I was informed ahead of time that the cost of service would be $120 and that my timeframe (window for service) would be from 12 to 2 PM. My technician, Gavin, was right on time for the work. He diligently performed all of the necessary maintenance, informed me that my machine (and its related parts) was very clean, and was done with all of the work within an hour. Normally, I would shop summer specials, but because I really wanted it serviced to ensure its health during these brutally hot months, I accepted the rate they charged. I was given the option to sign up for twice a year or more regular service, but I declined for the time being. I can't comment on their repairing services, but for regular maintenance, I would definitely recommend this family owned business!

In all my years of owning homes and rentals, I have dealt with so many HVAC companies. Some…read moreexperiences were "okay" while other companies were so awful I can't believe they are still in business. It was a revolving door of terrible companies that we hired over the past 8 years to fix our ducts and replace our HVAC system. After shelling out tens of thousands of dollars and still having a house that didn't cool properly (and was costing us $600-700/month in electric bills), we hired Fontana Brothers based on the amazing reviews. They came in, did an assessment of our system, and determined that the ducts were significantly undersized and the a/c returns needed to be relocated from floor-level to ceiling (to keep the returns from sucking up dirt and cooler air). Marcelo the duct master sketched out the entire ventilation/duct plan and replaced all of the ducts in our house to the larger (correct) size. The new ducts have a special antibacterial coating. He also relocated all of our returns. The project took a week, but they were incredibly thorough. They did such a good job that we decided to have them replace both of our current a/c units (Daikins) to Bosch units because our old units were going to be out of warranty in about 2 years and we were worried that the Daikin units would not last due to the strain they had been under with the old undersized ducts. Was it cheap? No. Was it worth it? Heck yeah! We are already noticing year-over-year cost reduction of about $200/month. And the house smells clean, cools down quickly and we don't need to keep the thermostat down anymore to cool the house - I can set it at 76/77 degrees during a hot summer day and the house still feels comfortable. Throughout the process, all of the Fontana crew members were incredibly friendly, professional, and kept me informed. Given the heat and the tight space, I wasn't surprised when there was a minor incident with the ceiling drywall - but Dan immediately let me know he would make it right and had a drywall company come out and fix it. Compare this to the last HVAC company I used who first replaced the wrong a/c unit (the older one that was working fine) and just said, "Oops, well it will cost another $10k to replace the one we were supposed to replace in the first place, and the one we did replace was old and should be replaced anyway." Then they did a crap job, didn't connect the drain pipe properly so that I came home to a huge puddle of water all over my garage floor and damaged garage ceiling drywall (which they promised to fix and then gave me the runaround - they never fixed it). When Marcelo removed the old ducts, I asked him about some things that the old company supposedly did - turns out they lied about installing the damper that was supposed to fix some of the airflow issues - it was nowhere to be found! I will NEVER use a we-do-everything-plumbing-ac-electric company like the one that starts with Corner and ends with Stone because all they want to do is make money - they don't care about the customer. I will ALWAYS use Fontana Brothers because they stand by their work and they do a damn good job. Plus they sent me a tin of cookies to thank me for being a customer! If you are looking for an HVAC company that is honest, transparent, does quality work at a fair price and provides exceptional customer service, you will not be disappointed if you choose Fontana Brothers!
