I cancelled two appointments with his office. First time because I had a bad cold, the second because of a family emergency. I had to cancel these appointments within a month of each other. During this period of time, apparently I cracked a tooth and developed an infection. I called Dr. Gormleys office on a Monday and asked to be seen asap. The receptionist told me the first appointment they had was on Thursday. I explained I was a patient, i was sure i had an infection and was running a low grade fever. I asked if I could be seen earlier than Thursday. The receptionist said this was the first appointment they had available. I asked if they accounted for emergencies. The receptionist explained to me that I had MISSED two appointments and Thursday would be the first appointment they had for me! I said I did not miss two appointments, I cancelled two appointments. Again the receptionist told me all that was available was Thursday. I did find a dentist that day who saw me in the afternoon. He put me on an antibiotic for 10 days. The tooth needed to be removed once the infection cleared. I now see this dentist for regular checkups. I question the priorities of this office. This was the first time I have EVER been turned away by someone in the medical profession. Obviously I needed to see a dentist and needed treatment. Also, I think the office staff is given direction on how to manage patient care by the person whose business it is.

--- ** Highly…read moreRecommend Dr. Forth and Dr. Tromblee!** We moved from Saratoga to North Syracuse over a year ago and hadn't found a dentist yet--until a cracked molar and an exposed nerve created a weekend emergency. The sharp, insufferable pain meant I needed a doctor immediately. In a hilarious twist, I had a recommendation from an SU Coach for Dr. Brian Tromblee, and my wife Dolly had a recommendation from her yoga instructor, Karen, for Dr. Teri Forth. When we compared notes, we realized they shared the exact same phone number (315-458-4794). Turns out, they are a fantastic husband-and-wife duo running Forth-Tromblee Dentistry! Rather than argue about it (we'd already spent our energy arguing over milk percentages and Pop-Tart flavors at the grocery store earlier), we called and booked appointments for ourselves and our three kids. Dr. Tromblee saw me within an hour of my call. He immediately took care of the nerve pain before giving us a warm welcome to the practice. As a local physical therapist, I highly value great patient care, and this place delivers it perfectly. 5 stars all the way!

Long Story - I went to get my teeth cleaned 3 years ago - I had been a patient for 14 years -…read moresomething went wrong at that cleaning - I heard a loud grinding sound as if the hygienist used the wrong size scraper as she cleaned my bottom front teeth - after the cleaning I went home and noticed those teeth were extremely sharp - they even cut right through dental floss as if it was butter - I went back to have Dr. Tromblee polish them to smooth them out - it didn't work and I had to go back at least 4 more times - at the last appt Dr. Forth had to put some bonding on one of the teeth that were damaged by Dr. Tromblee when he tried to fix the rough, sharp areas - this still didn't remedy the situation - I stopped going back to them to "fix" the issue that started with their hygienist when I caught the staff there rolling their eyes and giving each other the side eye look when I showed up again with the same issue - I then went to another dentist and she could not figure out what was wrong and just ground my teeth but didn't fix the issue - after having her try to fix them 4 or 5 times I went to another dentist and am now on my 2nd dentist there and 4th time repairing the issue - Meanwhile this has taken over 3 years and my mouth is so sore - the end of my tongue is raw, my teeth have moved and are now crooked from my tongue rubbing on the teeth, and my gums in the back on the front bottom teeth are receding and I now have to go see a periodontist - The staff at Forth & Tromblee treated me as if I had done something wrong - I just wanted my teeth fixed and it seems they and the following dentists just damaged them even further. After 14 years with them, my entire family went there also, you'd think they would have really tried to help, but they didn't, and 3 years later I just want to pull those teeth out and get replacement teeth made. The past 3 years have been so painful and it's not over yet.

My wife went in for dental work. The procedure was submitted to our insurance company from her last…read moredentist appointment. This appointment was to finish the procedure. We received the summary from our insurance company in the mail a week or so before the appointment. The day of the appointment we received a bill in the mail from the dentist. When my wife showed up for the appointment, the dental office indicated that she needed to pay what was owed right then. My wife explained that we had just received the bill at home that day and that we usually mail in a check, but the dentist office wanted the money right then. My wife does not carry a checkbook with her, so she had to pay on credit, but was NOT told that they charge an extra 2.99% for a credit card change. When I was able to contact the dental office, I asked them to take the charge off of my credit card and I would send a check in the mail as I normally do. They refused and said that I had to bring them a check before they would cancel the credit charge. I refused to do this. I also asked why we had to pay more via credit. They said that there are notices all over their office about this (it's on the mailed bill too). However, I never noticed or considered this because we always paid our bill via check when it came in the mail. I would like to add that we have never been overdue on any of our payments. With this disagreement I indicated that I already talked to our bank and had the number of their fraud department and that I would contact the BBB about this strong arm tactic. We had no previous notice that the money we owed would need to be paid that day! Anyway, my wife went in with a check after this disagreement and they refunded the extra 2.99% they charged in cash and told us that due to the threats of calling our bank's fraud department and the BBB we are no longer patients. The dentist is great, but how do you deal with an office manager only focused on money and not the care of the patients.

I'd been seen at this practice for many years. When I informed the office that my insurance was…read morechanging, they waved me on and said not to worry that they "take" my insurance. However, they neglected to inform me that they were out-of-network with my new insurance, even when I asked them to confirm as they pushed many 'preventative' services for my children that would only be fully covered in-network. I've paid close to $500 out of pocket for services that would have been free otherwise with an in-network provider. The complete disregard for THEIR error is mind-boggling and extremely disappointing. The office is chaotic and informed me this error (theirs 100%) is completely my fault.
