Dr. Romano put veneers on my bottom teeth that have slipped off several times. sometimes they broke so I'd have to pay for a new one. this happened more times than I can count. This caused me a lot of anxiety and money. Dr. Romano always seemed to hurry through my work. I just had a one veneer replaced a couple of months ago and have to have it put back on by another dentist because I have zero confidence at this point. When I 1st started at this dental office it was for ER pain services. Appointment/scheduling,…read morelocation and personalities were great, so I referred my husband and grown son. When we found out mths later that our insurance did not cover their out of network office, we told them we'd be looking for another office that could accommodate our insurance. We looked and came up short. Months later, we went back. When we went back, I was told that not only were my, my husband and my daughters accounts deleted, but my grown son, who had an upcoming appointment he never cancelled was deleted as well. From that day, we saw a difference in behaviors. We never encountered anything like this before, so thought it was normal. The dentist was not happy about our departure, and made it plainly known as he talked stuff while actively working on my tooth/teeth.I apologized, and let it go. They began to make it more difficult for my husband and son to make appointments after work or on Mondays (the only day my son has off). I began feeling more uneasy with the dentist because his comfort level in calling me a liar (about brushing and flossing)and talking about other patients in my presence. I felt enormous anxiety. At some point the office manager/receptionist discriminated against my disability, then when I called her out on it, she began to harass me. She got others in the office to harass me. Purposely stopped call reminding me the day before (which she had been doing the entire time I was going to that office, until she was annoyed I opted out of text reminders)so I could be charged the cancellation fee if I forgot (due to my disability, which I told her). She then sat in on my sons cleaning as his dental assistant "holding the hose in his mouth and passing him stuff" my son said......I don't think that's legal I told him. I finally spoke to the dentist, told him my concerns and how this was causing me lots of stress and anxiety, driving my blood pressure up and asked him to make it stop. Due to the fact that he would not, and defended her/their behaviors, I told him I'd not ever be returning. This was months ago! Why would she then call me today! On Sunday...a day the office is closed to ask me if I'm showing up for tomorrows appointment! I guess Friday felt inappropriate to her because it would have been 24hrs cancellation notice and she wouldn't be able to charge me the $100 cancellation fee! Or is it just she enjoys harassing me!? She then told me she's deleting the account for my whole fam, and told me about my son's upcoming appointment that she is also going to delete (like last time) I told her that he was an adult on a separate account as he has separate insurance and pays them on his own. Why would she threaten his account without asking him! I further told her that I would like a copy of all the records in my chart for my own records and she told me that I'd have to sign a release form at the office I have not been back to since May due to their misconduct and my blood pressure (even though she mentioned "the new" office, but said I'd have to go "where you've been going"). She said that I'd only get X-rays and billing invoices because that's all they would have...which I did not believe, so I googled it.. I also believe some bad things about the dental work I received and why the teeth that have been worked on are causing me pain and problems, including a tooth i complained about while I was still going there that the dentist never fixed (he kept saying "next time" which never came) even though i kept asking him to ...seemed as though he was more interested in working on the teeth that were further making money, not the one(s)he had to use his time to fix at no xtra cost. They are super efficient, informative and dare I say painless?! My first visit consisted of X-rays galore and then a treatment plan for all the extensive work I'll need. Hey! Like I said I'm either their dream or nightmare. Although the cost of what my new mouth will cost me is astronomical it's not a surprise and on par with other dentists that have examined me. So why did I want to seek treatment here? From the front desk staff efficiency to the calming nature of the assistant and doctor I couldn't find a single fault or lack of professionalism. They also call to confirm your appointment as well. Waiting for your appointment: I have never waited more than five minutes for my appointment. They have never made me wait and I have always been able to speak to the woman behind the counter the moment I walk in. The waiting room is pretty and well kept. During your appointment: Everything is digital and they have computer screens to show you all the images of your teeth that they are looking at! They remember you and are polite and kind and make small talk, which is nice. Everything is to high tech and spotlessly clean. After your appointment: They give you a folder with your teeth X-ray in it for any specialist you want to go to and give you a goodie bag with Toothbrush and toothpaste and floss in it!
