Apparently I signed some "authorization for treatment", mind you, my face was gushing blood and I couldn't even really comprehend what was happening. All they did was give me stitches and no one quoted me anything additional, I have been to several urgent cares over the years and they always give you an estimate and have you sign before doing anything additional you would have to pay for. When we were leaving we were all surprised when we asked at the counter and were told I was "all set", I had still expected it to be maybe $200 or so. But we were told all it was was the $90 visit fee. Which we chalked up to the fact that we were down there helping hurricane victims and had mentioned that and they all acted so appreciative! I just received a bill for over a THOUSAND DOLLARS, just for 3 stitches. And they're claiming that they didn't need to give me an estimate- even though I was paying cash- because I signed an authorization for them to treat me. Well of course you sign an authorization at an urgent care for them to treat you, that is not authorization for anything over the $90 visit fee or any sort of estimate. Avoid this urgent care, they are extremely deceptive. Not to mention the "customer service" representatives, are extremely rude and argumentative and did nothing to look in to my issue and try to help.

The past two times of coming here they have not even examined my injury, or cared to look at it for that matter. They have stood at the door without any knowledge of how bad the injury is and gave me a "diagnosis", I've been told to put cream on a swollen knee which has probably been fractured if not worse. I've came a time before for an ankle injury and I was told to take ibuprofen/Tylenol, and wrap it, no X-ray, no examination. NOTHING. I have no medical background and could do the job these ppl claim they do on the daily.

I was able to go with her untill the one came in to take her to get x-rays. The PA my Mom seen was very nice and concerned for a few issues and referred us to go to the ER where they could do more tests that they do not do. Once she had the results of blood work and x-rays we were able to leave. Over all it was surprisingly not bad of a process. My Mom seemed happy too she had a lady and not a man who checked in her. When we left the waiting room looked busy so I was glad we got in and left.

I was referred by the Forest City office to the Shelby office for a laser treatment/procedure. That is what the appt was made for. Evidently these offices don't communicate. When I got to the Shelby office for the appointment, the Forest city office referred me for, the records were not available even though they are the same practice. And the records should have been in their system as I had been seen twice in Forest City for this exact issue. The nurse and doctor just wanted to send me away. They did not try to contact the Forest City office or help in anyway. I had to call them. Then, there was no service. So I walked all over the practice looking for a phone or reception. No one could tell me where I could use a phone or where service was available. Then, no one would answer in Forest City. When the robot finally picked up I waited 20 minutes for no one to answer. I went back to the room. The triage nurse thought I had been "discharged". She was clueless. Even though she knew I was trying to reach someone in the Forest city office to help me. Left with no laser treatment, which is what I was referred by their Forest City office for. Huge waste of time. Not good practice. Don't recommend.

She was extremely thorough with my son: weighing him,…read morewatching how he nursed, checking his tongue post-revision, and fitting me for the proper flange size (she has a bag and doesn't guess!). This is not my first rodeo. My first child had an excellent supply and I had worked with lactation consultants in the past. However, this time I had severe PPH which affected my supply. Jennifer is truly an advanced lactation consultant, because she used to be a practicing NP. She was able to provide valuable insight into why my supply might not be coming in from an NP standpoint and recommended supplements and protocols to attempt to increase my supply. She was excellent with her response time for her text support (which comes with her in home visits) and her notes in Charm were extremely organized so I knew exactly what to do. It wasn't just a whole host of "you can try, you can try" it was bullet pointed recommendations. While my journey did not last, I appreciated her working with me to attempt to prolong it. Now on her recommendation I'll do my best to follow up with the specialists I need to see to make sure I take care of myself and enjoy the time I have with my newborn.

Today, with the new technology you cannot even speak to someone in the practice. it is impossible to get the care you need from the doctor that did the surgery due FAILED system processes put into place! my father is 81 years old and he should not have issues getting the care he deserves. I will say that I spoke to a practice manager that understands the very broken process but the powers that be apparently are not concerned about patient care! I have requested a call from their chief quality officer, CEO and others to no avail. I am a nurse that has worked in Quality improvement for years and this is unacceptable. Perhaps it is time for complaints to the medical board, CMS as the payor of Medicare services. It's very unfortunate that as leadership they are not willing to discuss the issues that impede safe and appropriate patient care! Unfortunately, they may have great doctors but their processes prohibit excellent care of their patients.
