    Matcha hotcakes

This is an amazing little cafe in Darlingshurt. We came from California and they blew our minds away. We ordered the signature matcha pancakes of course, and I have to say that I have never had anything as delicious as this. So detailed in its presentation as it is in its flavors. We also order the egg roll and bacon, which came out to be a burger... was not expecting that as well. Amazing place, must go visit, if you are in the area!

So So coffee and poor matcha latte. I couldn't taste any matcha flavor or milk. I ordered at 2 and they already run out everything I wanna order. And they also messed up my order. But the French toast was ok. Yes, they have free WiFi.

A Brew Will See You Through, Today | A Brewer's Tale Café put on an envious breakfast spread... . Matcha Hotcakes with fresh fruit, soft matcha chocolate, poached pear, coconut and pashmak . Brioche French Toast with fresh fruit, pashmak, maple syrup and whipped cream . Smashed Avacado on sourdough bread with beetroot hummus, poached egg, sprouts and radish . Zucchini and Green Pea Fritters with poached eggs, avacado, asparagus and smoked salmon . . BreakYAY! All four breakfast options were fresh, tasty and well balanced. I did fall in love with their Zucchini and Green Pea Fritters with Smoked Salmon It was literally the BEST Fritters I've ever had, perfectly cooked, not dry, soft and crisp on the outside it was deliciousness in a plate! And I will return a million times over for them fritters & All Day Breakfast ya'll. Big love to @abrewerstalecafe & @fcba.community for having me and treating us to a delicious breakfast.

This new (October, 2015) spot on Burton has wonderful staff and very good coffee. Lovely touches like carafes of cold water topped with apples or oranges and lemon wedges at the bottom of the glass demonstrate a concern for the little things that can set a coffee spot apart. And the tiny and delicious mini sugar cookie served with hot drinks are a special treat. A Brewer's Tale also serves All Day Breakfast and Lunch along with a wide assortment of teas, juices and smoothies in a very pleasant setting. The excellent bacon and egg roll is the perfect size for smaller appetites while the omelette could easily be breakfast for two. Or maybe as a senior couple we just eat less. This section of Burton has a steady stream of foot traffic but is quieter than its near neighbours Darlinghurst and Victoria. Saturday breakfast before taking in the bustle of Fitzroy Garden Farmer's Market is the calm before the storm. It is apparent that the owners of this coffee spot thought through the process of creating an inviting venue.

Celebrity spotted! For some reason this is a common catchcry at Spring Espresso. I have no idea…read morewhy, considering it looks like a normal cafe. Also this is usually a 2nd option for a lot of people when the line at Fratelli Paradiso across the road is too long... My experience here was really good. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast of eggs with bacon done well. Oh and I had a side of David Wenham. I dropped my menu and he was the guy at the adjacent table that picked it up for me. I said thanks and he said you're welcome. Then I did the double take and my friend was about to lose it. But luckily we both kept calm and tried to concentrate on my eggs. This is apparently his favourite breakfast place and also of many other beautiful people in Sydney due to the good coffee. So if you want a bit of sparkle with your coffee, Spring Espresso is where to go to stalk...errr....eat lol.

The tiny cafés of Spring Espresso and La Buvette, on Challis Street just off Macleay, are nearly…read moreindistinguishable. Each has only about 4 places to sit, in the entryway or on the pavement, and our guide book suggested picking whichever had the first free seat. We sat at Spring Espresso and had a fabulous breakfast. This isn't hard in Australia, but this one was tops for quality and the chic feel. My waffles with fruit were perfect; the coffee was heaven. The café has a very European feel in its size, decor and ambience. Even the service felt European: efficient but far from in-your-face. Very popular with the gay crowd, too.
