After roaming around the narrow streets of the old town in Menton, I discovered this gem tucked away on the tiny Rue Longue. This other worldly restaurant specializes in brochettes (flaming kebabs). Food is wonderful, the presentation dramatic and the owner/chef treats us like visiting dignitaries as he proudly explains our choices. Just went for the simple menu of an appetizer and entree. Of course we started out with the obligatory apperitivo. We then moved on to a wonderful assortment of appetizers. For my entree, I had the lamb, which was fantastic. My friend had the pork, which was a bit fatty for my taste. But overall it was a wonderful experience and definitely rates a return visit the next time I'm in Menton.
But be warned, it is a very small restaurant and is often totally booked. So, best to call ahead. read more
