Service was a little slow but that seems to be the norm in Southern France. The food made up for the slow service.
The waiter was able to translate the menu for us which was really helpful. I ordered bread with goat cheese on top that was wrapped in ham. It was served over a plate of spinach. For the dressing, I had the option of using vinegar, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I used the balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Overall, it was delicious for a meal so simple. The olive oil tasted really high quality.
I had the lemon pie for dessert and it was one of the best desserts I've had. It came with a shot glass of lemon ice which was a nice touch. Menton is known for their lemons so I knew anything with lemon would be gold.
It's a small place with outdoor seating. Prices were a little high. Food was good overall but the menu was lacking. It was very small and only had about 7-10 options. Half of those options are fish and ones that I wouldn't eat like raw salmon and snail. read more
