Excellent! Seriously, you won't find more qualified or nicer people to work with. I was able to schedule a same day appointment to fix a misbehaving garage door and Mike was super! He diagnosed the issues quickly and went to work. He also did a multi-point inspection / safety check /tune-up and pointed out key lubricant points and mentioned I would probably need new rollers in a few years. Great value as well - less than $150! read more

I had to leave town and of course my door started acting up! We were able to set up an appointment and have my house sitter handle the meeting. Ryan showed up exactly as planned, figured out the problem, called me in Germany to discuss, and got it handled quickly and at a reasonable cost. Thanks for your help!! Patrick read more

A Better Garage Door - Garage Door Services Near Me - Broomfield, Colorado

We had our garage door literally collapse on a Saturday afternoon this past weekend. I had called BGD for a quote the day before and they got to the house by Monday. I knew that it was weakening before the collapse. They took the measurements and actually had the design that our HOA required. The door and new everything, but motor was installed on Wednesday afternoon. It's solid workmanship and from the front office to the man working on our house they were all just great. I totally recommend them to anyone. read more

Caveat Emptor, or let the buyer beware. We needed our 10 year old Liftmaster garage door opener repaired but were told that the opener needed replacement along with "$4,000" of commercial springs. The bid to replace the door and opener came back at $7,700 with a six week order and install time. We contacted another local garage door repair company, who said that they could adjust the springs, tune up the door, add handles to the door and repair the opener for $219 with same day service (and did just that). read more

It's been more than 3 months now since our failing wood-clad double garage door was replaced by A Better Garage Door. What a difference! The team at this company helped us order a much lighter perfectly sized door using the existing motor. They helped select a color applied by the factory. The wait time to build and have delivered was reasonable. The installation crew was fast, highly efficient and very friendly. The total price was competitive and fair. The final color choice turns out to be easy to live and actually matches our house color quite nicely. The new door system has worked flawlessly since installation. I'm a stickler for doing jobs right the first time. A Better Garage Door gets FIVE STARS for my new door installation! read more

They attempted to install a garage door and motor, spent all day doing it, then at the end of the day announced they couldn't get it to work right and removed the equipment and left. I was not charged but it still wasted a day. Not long after the garage door stopped working altogether, and I called another company that installed a new door and motor no problem for 25% less than I was quoted here. read more

Bottom Line - felt like we were scammed!! Called the company on Thursday about our Garage Door that needed the chain reconnected to engine gear (slipped off when it was closed on our car - darn you random hail storm). Michael came over on Monday. He seemed nice enough when we were asking questions. The next thing we knew we were told that we'd need a new engine (which didn't make sense since the motor was still working and turning when clicked on) and that the amount of time it would take him to find the perfect kink in the chain to reattached would end up equaling the cost of a new motor ($650 plus tax). Our system was from 2001 but it still worked just fine. Logically, the time that was being estimated didn't make sense since the amount of places the chain could possibly link up to make the garage door function was no more than a 3 inch area. How does that equal 5 hours of work? Also, in an effort to open our garage the technician cracked our hand door opener; pushing the button so hard he cracked it. Feeling like something wasn't right we called 2 other places to come and look at our garage. Both of them said it would take less than an hour. We finally settled on Mile High Garage Door and they fixed it in thirty minutes and charged us $75 and came out the very next day to provide service. read more

Just had our motor replaced with these guys. They were super quick to get us a quote and get out to our home to replace our very outdated garage door opener. Michael was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything to me. The quality of the work is exceptional and we will be working with them in the near future to get our actual door replaced. They explained to us what the next couple months would bring with our current door and I'm very confident they will take great care of us again. Thank you! read more

Our spring broke so we called A Better Garage Door. Mike was very polite and informative. He arranged for service to be done the same day (only 3 hours after we called). He advised the technician would arrive between 11-1. Ryan arrived at 10:50am so we were very pleased not only was he early but he was very efficient and completed the job in about 1 hour. We would highly recommend this company. It is very hard to find exceptional service like this company provides. Thank you so much! read more

Thank you Mike! Super courteous on the phone, arrived within 2 hours, and got my car unstuck from the garage almost immediately, while they then went to work replacing the busted spring that had sent the whole thing crashing to the ground that morning. I defiantly felt the price was fair and would recommend these guys to anyone. Thanks again!!! read more

My garage door wouldn't open. I was afraid that no one could come out right away. I called this company. A very nice man, Michael, came out TODAY! He unscrewed one of my sensors, cleaned it off and that fixed the problem. He didn't charge me ANYTHING!!!! Not even the trip charge. I've used them in the past for a more serious problem. They were very reasonably priced. What a great business!! read more

These guys are total frauds. They're claiming to have never even worked on our door. They put in a spring that was too small for our door and it burned out the opener. We only found out the spring was too small when the person from Lowe's came to install the new opener. As soon as the door went out we called the number on the stickers that are in multiples in side our garage. They claimed to have no knowledge of the work and then when we decided to pay them to fix what they broke they offered a small discount. We payed over a thousand dollars to fix what they broke. They left and the door was squeaky as all hell and after a few weeks, of course, broke. We called the sticker again (they put up a new one the last time they came so now we have layers of their stickers in our garages) and they camout to "repair" the door. They arrived and blamed two other companies for the shotty work (I wonder if those companies know they're being slandered?) but agree to "fix" it. Guess what? The door makes a huge racket. We have a canceled check from them which they're claiming isn't from their bank but haven't even seen it. They also said they'd "never" charge that much but clearly did. They're claiming someone stole their company's information and is going around claiming to be their company and doing work in their name. They claim to only be two people but in other reviews I've read about more employees. What a load of malarkey! I'm getting closer to contacting the police everyday because apparently someone is committing fraud and took $1,200 from us and I'm pretty sure it's Mike and his company and not some unidentifiable stranger stealing his companies truck, tools and bank. I'm not fake in any way. I'm a customer. This is a pattern. And if you think you're going to get good service from these guys just look how they treat real customers with valid complaint. And I'm not fake. The owners are viciously psychotic and claim that I'm fake to discredit the terrible experiences I've had with them. Don't let these people gaslight you and swindle you out of money ‍ read more

When the springs broke on my garage door I called and spoke with Mike and he was able to schedule me in for the next morning. It was a life saver as there was no way I was going to get the garage door open with broken springs. He showed up right on time, fixed the springs and even installed new rollers to quiet it down. Mike did a great job and I'll definitely be calling him if anything happens in the future! Thanks Mike! read more

We had a our garage door and opener go out and needed it replaced. We called Mike to come out and he gave us a quote and we waited until we saved up for the job. Mike is a nice guy and he honored his price. The only thing that keeps me from stating a 5 star vs a 3 star is the two gentlemen that came out to do the work were not too friendly. I have been in service for 25 years and I have worked for the past 19 years in customers homes, and I think that a smile and Hello, goes a long way, especially when the customer is spending almost $2,000.00. We heard that someone would arrive around 11 am and we asked for a half hour call ahead, the two guys that showed were somewhat nice but did not really say, "Hi" or look me in the eye while they shook my hand. We served them coffee, gave them a tip, told them where the guest bathroom was, kept our dogs away and tried to start a small conversation to break the ice. While I was scrambling to move my items, I did not expect them to help, but the older gentleman seemed to stand in the way, I asked him to kindly move and he did not seem to get out of the garage while I was trying to get them in the garage to work. Not much seemed to work with trying to be helpful to them. I was probably a little annoyed and hope I did not show this. We explained in advance, a couple of days before the job, by calling Mike, that we needed time to unload parts of the side of the garage and we needed a minimum of a half hour window, there was only given a 10 to 15 minute call ahead and they showed up an hour and a half early. I told them they were too early and they did not seem to care. This was a little stressful because of the weather and the snow, so there was not a way for us to unload the garage the night before. I would of preferred to know who was coming out to my house and would have preferred a two hour window. Again, Mike is a good guy, just think that the communication needs to be worked on and explained ahead of time who is coming to my home. I think it is important to small talk and make a customer feel welcomed in his own garage. Not sure I will hire them again. read more

Mike had Joe come the morning I called. They did a great job with the utmost professionalism and expertise. Thank you!

The tension spring on my garage broke this morning as I was going to take out the trash. Joe was here within an hour (excellent time considering the traffic from Broomfield to Highlands Ranch). And the garage was fixed within 30 minutes. Excellent time, service, friendliness & cost. Would recommend highly. read more

Joe came out to do a quote for us on a normal two car garage door replacement. Joe said it was a straight-forward job and was going to get some measurements. He said some things needed to be upgraded from builder quality but that it wasn't going to cost extra. Joe's quote was reasonable and competitive with what I had been seeing so we booked an install right there. Two days later Ryan came out to install and a few hours later he was done and the new garage door is great. We couldn't be happier. Thanks for an effortless quote and install experience! read more

After 4 estimates, all the bids to replace my 2 overhead garage doors were almost identical, down to model of door and within $50 each. I chose A Better Garage Door because of Mike, who is quite a "character" in a good way. None of the others had the technical details Mike did, and none had half the sense of humor. He seems to be enjoying the job, after decades at it. Compliments to the 2 installers as well! They did not leave as much as a spare screw afterwards, and everything works like it is supposed to. Everyone should always get competing bids, but make sure you include Mike in the bid process. read more

Six weeks ago I called this company because my door spring broke. The repairman told !e i needed a significant amount of work done and quoted $1,280. Instead stuck in the garage and the door was older so I agreed and paid that exorbitant cost. Last week the door broke down so I called them to come out. The repairman said he had no record of fixing my door. I pulled my online bank statement and showed him the canceled check made out to his company with the endorsement on the back. I also called their office while he stood there. Both the owner, Mike, and Joe, the repairman, denied ever having done the work. They had no explanation for the canceled check, but also didn't ask for information about it as I would assume they would be alarmed that if someone was doing business using my company name i would want information to track them down. Joe did some minor adjustments, but I still.have no assurance that the job I paid $1,280 for will last or they will honor any warrantee for their work. This is one of the most bizarre business practices ever. read more
