The reason for two star review is that I was told I needed new brakes on the front and they would do it for just over 900 dollars. Pretty expensive for breaks but I told them i would do the brakes myself. When I went to put brakes on the car the pads were fine with about half life left. I do not like it when mechanics are dishonest about what you need. I will not go back and I suggest if you do make sure you know what os wrong with your vehicle first.

The repairs totaled IMHO more than the vehicle is worth, BRANDON was wonderful! My grandmother did decide against repairs to forgo a more reliable vehicle. Although I do believe ALL automotive care is inflated. The vehicle KBB is $3,440; two separate unrelated repairs were quoted at $2700, unless something came up during repair then it would obviously go up. We called orielly & autozone and asked the price of the parts for the $1000 repair and ALL parts, grease, tool were $248.12 with tax! $750 for 2 hours labor- you tell me if they are inflated or not. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. They are professional, keep you informed every step of the way, do great work, for a fair price, stand behind their work, and most of all are honest. I have spoken with the owner more than once, as it is family owned, and he is usually there. But one time that I spoke with him that stood out to me that they were different. My stepson's power steering stopped working. I called and I was about to have it towed in as it was parked at a restaurant. The owner got on the phone with me and asked me what year and model the car was. I told him, he asked me if the car had driven through any heavy puddles. I told him it had been raining, so I assumed so. He told me that model is notorious for the sensors getting wet and causing issues with the rack and pinion steering. He said, let it sit for a couple hours and dry out a bit. It should resolve the problem, and it did. He didn't have to tell me that. He could've let me have it towed in and just let it sit and dry and tell me he fixed it and taken me for a ride, but he didn't. That's honesty. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and to anyone else who reads this review.

He advised me to get something else fixed as soon as I can, but told me it wasn't necessary to get me home to New Orleans.
