The reason for two star review is that I was told I needed new brakes on the front and they would do it for just over 900 dollars. Pretty expensive for breaks but I told them i would do the brakes myself. When I went to put brakes on the car the pads were fine with about half life left. I do not like it when mechanics are dishonest about what you need. I will not go back and I suggest if you do make sure you know what os wrong with your vehicle first.

I was fed false information repeatedly such as my transmission was being sent out (I was having NO transmission work being performed). After being quoted and given a ETA i was not informed until i physically went up there that the technician broke my pulley, my oil pump, & dropped trash in my heads causing further damage to my vehicle. In effort to get my vehicle back i had to pay even MORE money to repair the damage they caused. Now my vehicle has a oil leak from the oil pan they removed that had absolutely no business being touched had the technician not broken my oil pump and garbs has completely refused to repair anything, despite it only being 3 weeks from when the repairs were completed.

Well besides the fact their prices are higher than their local competitors, I was hoping for a good…read moreexperience. I made an appointment at 12noon for brake service and oil change. Was told front brakes and rotors needed replaced and a flush of master cylinder. Total was right at $1,000.00. I was told when I was given the cost estimate at 12:32pm, they had already started the oil change and it would be an hour and I would be out of there. At approximately 2:000pm, I inquired about the progress and was then told it should be just another 30 minutes. Well those 30 minutes came and went and now we are an hour over their promised time. Still no one came to the waiting room to alert me or discuss why the extra time. I finally was able to talk to an employee at 3:18pm who came in with the keys and said, "All good to go" like nothing had happened. He was so nonchalant about it and we then had a professional, adult discussion about how I had been treated, left in the dark and how it was nearly 2 hours now past the promised time with no updates from anyone. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. I am sending an email to Justin, the owner as I was told and laughed at, to explain how I was treated. I hope he returns my email and understands my frustration by the lack of professionalism and customer service of his employees at this establishment. - They do not keep the customer informed about the progress even when it is well after the expected time of completion. - They are mush higher in price than most other shops I have visited. $1,000.00 for front bake pads, front rotors and oil change for a 2018 Ford escape. - Service reps at the front desk were not sympathetic about quoting the estimated time of completion and being so far off. No apology or even a valid excuse. I received the typical "30 more minutes" when I inquired about the time.

Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.
