I came to learn about The Driving Institute, earlier in the year in January - I had a relatively bad experience with another Driving School, after 10hrs of road experience with that school... I was left with no confidence in any of my skills and I barely got any feedback. I booked myself in originally for 2hrs behind the wheel private lessons (which after I passed my driving test - I added in a further 2hrs later in the year to gain some confidence with Interstate and Highway driving), and I must say from the moment I contacted Miranda at The Driving Institute, I was greeted with nothing but friendliness and professionalism. I had my lessons with Mr Rossi [The 2hrs were split into 1hr sessions] and I have to say just after 2hrs, my confidence rose to further than what it was after 10hrs with my previous instructor. He fixed any issues I had within seconds with such simple techniques. He's a great teacher and he knows his stuff! Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. I didn't think I needed the practice test , seeing I knew how to drive , but please please put your pride away and take the practice test it helps you 100% before taking your real road test. They tell you everything the instructor is looking for in the practice, and then few minutes after you take the road test and both are approximately 15mins each and they have reasonable price. He made me feel very comfortable and would keep explaining the rules and regulations so that it registers in the mind and helps during driving . It was BS & we ended up using my car. Then during the test, the guy insisted he told me to make a left turn instead of a u turn and failed me just to make an extra $50 on a re-test. I've been driving for years. He wasn't evaluating my driving skills, he was looking for a reason to fail me and make that extra 50 for a re-test. In all fairness, maybe it was the thick accent where the left turn / u turn confusion was.. Ultimately, he was waiting to fail me instead of evaluating my driving skills.
