I came to learn about The Driving Institute, earlier in the year in January - I had a relatively bad experience with another Driving School, after 10hrs of road experience with that school... I was left with no confidence in any of my skills and I barely got any feedback. I booked myself in originally for 2hrs behind the wheel private lessons (which after I passed my driving test - I added in a further 2hrs later in the year to gain some confidence with Interstate and Highway driving), and I must say from the moment I contacted Miranda at The Driving Institute, I was greeted with nothing but friendliness and professionalism. I had my lessons with Mr Rossi [The 2hrs were split into 1hr sessions] and I have to say just after 2hrs, my confidence rose to further than what it was after 10hrs with my previous instructor. He fixed any issues I had within seconds with such simple techniques. He's a great teacher and he knows his stuff! It was well worth my drive from Richardson just for the lessons - I couldn't recommend anyone better to get you ready for these fast and furious Texas roads.

The "school" is located at 8214 Boulevard 26, N Richland Hills, TX I believe this school violates of the rules and is appalling failure to provide legitimate Driver Education. The location can only be described as a junk shop. It is piled floor to ceiling with junk, trash, packaged food items. The aisles are completely full of junk and I cannot imagine this is not a fire code violation. There is no adequate instruction area. It is a mess. The owner/instructor, Mr. Hendrix sleeps in this "store". It is set up with a bedroom. My student and I have found the instructor sleeping before and during class instruction time in various locations with various excuses. His personal car (and the only instructional vehicle) is there overnight. The car is a mess as well. Instruction is abysmal according to my student. The instructor just points the kids to materials and lets them go on their own, then goes to sleep in the back of the room. For the entire class period. The kids can run around and do as they wish, exploring the junk, even sleeping if they'd like. The instructor is very smooth on the telephone and even slipperier in person. I think much of what he says has little relationship with the truth. He is apparently skilled at circumventing your rules, controls, and procedures and has done so successfully for some time and gotten away with it. What he provides the teens is a gross disservice of the trust placed in him by parents. I have enrolled my student in another school and could not be happier.

My siblings and I hired Pearl Rose Academy to evaluate my 91yo mother's driving. We had our concerns. Brandon understood and took mom on as a client. They spent 5 hours together and we ended up being reassured that all is safe for our mom, for now. Brandon called me after each lesson and gave me details about mom's skill set. Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. We will call Pearl Rose in a year or two or if we see a decline in mom's ability to be safe for herself and others on the road.As you can predict, taking away a parent's right to drive is a hard responsibility. We want mom to have the objective, professional input from Brandon so she can make her own decision when the time comes. We also have the info from Brandon to fairly and objectively determine if mom is safe on the road or not and then make the hard decision if mom decides to drive past her clear capacity to do so. Thanks, Brandon for being professional, compassionate, and smart about safe driving.
