1st off the girl that was working had no name tag, 2. she failed to give us a receipt 3. it took her 3 times of ringing up the order to get it right 4. she still didn't make it to go as we told her 3 times so we had to wait while she bagged it. 5. We had to ask for the root beer freeze tgat we ordered. She was very unpleasant she never welcomed us or thanked us for our business and she didn't apologize for her mistakes

    How dirty is that

Nice format of having all the condiments (including lettuce and onions and pretty much anything that doesn't need cooking) at the condiment station. That way you get just what you want. Also nice that you can get a can of beer or cider if you are in to that sort of thing. Nice easy place to fuel up before a nature walk. I like that it is on a street between the highway and the bay. Somehow makes it feel a little more like a locals place. Not the fastest service, but the cook is really right there making things as you order, so you know it is fresh!

It was sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s, which felt more like spring than winter. The week before the area was flooded with rain. It's rare to find a local, non-chain that specializes in hot dogs. This place is a fun, very casual, local favorite and great if you are craving a great hot dog or burger. They have an excellent selection of classic and custom hot dogs, including a legit Chicago dog, plus hand-cut fries and burgers. Everything is made fresh and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the hot dog was honestly one of the best I have had. I only wish I could make them this good at home. Seating is available both inside and outside, and the vibe is very relaxed. It is super friendly, very local, and dog-friendly in the best way. Real dogs are welcome, not just the ones on the menu. They also have a good selection of beers, which pairs nicely with the food. Parking is easy and plentiful since it is right next to the local post office. If you are looking for a casual, fun, and delicious lunch spot in Bodega Bay, The Dog House is a must-stop. One of the best hot dog joints we have been to and highly recommended. I am going back next time I am in town.

It took a couple of months but I finally made my way over today and pretty happy that I did. It's just a little pop up tent as you can see in the pics. I'm one of those people that like the casing on the dog. I like the "snap" when you bite into it. These days everything is skinless...boring! So I ordered a chili cheese dog and a Polish sausage. Maybe a 5 minute wait if that. First bite of the chili cheese dog and felt that snap I knew I was gonna like this dog. Chili was good, I should have added jalapeño. The Polish dog just as tasty and both for a decent price of 14 bucks. They filled me up! I'll be checking this place out when I get that craving especially since he is so close to me.

Ya know, the kind that snaps when you bite into 'em because of the quality casing. Delicious. The outdoor shopping center has high end retailers. The center can be seen off the Highway and easy enough to get to. I'm not a local and rarely shop here. Stang's is the only reason I make a stop. The stand is near Nordstroms. The dogs are $7/ combo $10.25. They offer 4 different kinds of sausage from $8.25/ combo $12.75. They even have a vegan sausage option. The dogs are stadium length. Combos include a bag of chips and a canned drink. I've had no issues with the staff, all great encounters. Stang's has a gated outdoor dining area. Since the stand is minimally staffed, they may not have the time to clean the dining area. Understandably so. Right next to Stang's patio, there are shopping center community tables. Those tables are maintained by the shopping center cleaning crew. Plus there are trash and recycling bins close by making it easier for folks to pick up after themselves.

If you want to avoid long lines, you'll definitely want to come early because by the time we left -- around 12:30 p.m., the line had at least doubled in size. Between my wife and I, we shared a slew of different items, including a Green Chile Cheeseburger ($13.99), Garlic Fries ($4.99), Small - 12oz Horchata Shake ($8.99), Onion Rings ($4.99) and an Ahi Burger ($17.99). All of this came out to $50.95 before tax and tip, which felt like a pretty good deal considering how much food we had ordered. Of the sides that we had ordered, I really enjoyed how punchy the garlic flavor was with the fries and how thick and decadent the horchata shake was. Although the onion rings looked promising, some of the rings were so thickly over-battered, they were actually inedible: I had at least a half and inch of batter surrounding a thin onion slice. In hindsight, I should have brought the onion rings back and requested a new order. The green chile cheeseburger was fine, but nothing mind-blowing. The burger patty wasn't especially juicy or that nicely charred, bread to meat ratio felt a little off, and the green chile felt like an afterthought. On the other hand, I quite enjoyed the ahi tuna burger. I really liked how much chopped slaw they had in the burger and the outside had a nice light sear. Temperature of the tuna patty was consistent throughout. Given how infrequently restaurants have ahi tuna burgers on their menu, this is definitely something I would order again. Overall, Gott's is a solid three star for me.
