Lillooet isn't the world's most bumpin' place, so it didn't take too much to decide to eat here…read more It's located conveniently at a T-intersection as you pull into the town. The restaurant is part of the Reynolds Hotel. Parking is ample, since it looks like everyone walks here. Not a bad thing at all, since the weather here is freaking awesome. When we walked in, it was full of people stuffing their faces on sandwiches, which is always a good sign. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful, which is nice. This is one of the things I really like about smaller towns. People take the time to chat with you. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The turkey was dry, but that's to be expected with breast meat. But the egg infused into the bread reminded me of HK-style French toast. The fries weren't quite crispy enough (maybe a bit raw?) but on the other hand, they weren't dripping with oil, which is a good thing. While eating my sandwich, I noticed several people ordering cherry cheesecake ($5.25), so I gave it a go too. This has to be one of the best cheesecakes I've had anywhere. It had just the right amount of sweetness, and the cherry sauce balanced it out PERFECTLY. This is worth a special mention. You will not be disappointed. One last random piece of trivia: Rogers/Fido does NOT get reception here. But Telus/ Bell does. Take that, Rogers. Overall, a nice alternative to Dina's Place, which seems to have hogged the other 90% of the reviews in this town.

The patio was dirty when we arrived, as there were multiple tables that still had food on them that had not been cleared. After waiting for over an hour for our food, and seeing the waitress for the first time since dropping off our app, the waitress returned to our table asking if we ended up ordering mains. She explained that she had forgotten to put our order in - which isn't a big deal, except the food was NOT worth waiting for. I should have cancelled the order and went to a new restaurant, but this was the only restaurant open in town :( apparently the good restaurants are only open Friday's and Saturday's ? I ordered the daily special - A Thai Stir fry with noodles in a sweet Thai sauce. My wife ordered the Lasagna rolls. The lasagna actually looked really good when the food finally landed on that table after waiting over an hour and a half. We were excited to try the lasagna after seeing the table beside us order the same thing, earlier in the evening. Unfortunately the dish was bland and was LOADED with cheese. It was so heavy and not good we left 3/4 of it on the table - and trust I NEVER leave food on the table. My wife mentioned it tasted like ground beef was added to sloppy joe mix and layered in the lasagna noodles covered in cheese - and was not seasoned, whatsoever. Damn, what a disappointment. Unfortunately the Thai special was even worse. Not sure where the "Thai" part came in to play but this was a poor attempt at a basic stir fry. The chicken and veggies which seemed to be boiled first, were not seasoned and tossed onto a bed of half cooked dry vermicelli egg noodles? Not sure what noodles they were but definitely not anything close to being in a Thai dish. The sauce was sweet and had no other layers of flavour. Not a single spice was used in this dish. To top it off the "Thai" special was served with burnt garlic bread and a side of warm Caesar salad. Not sure who approved the daily special but that person should not be recommending specials, let alone running a restaurant. The best thing on the menu was the Diet Coke I had to drink. Both my wife and I never expect food to be given away, but no attempt was given to try and rectify our poor dining experience. Honestly, even a compensated app would not bring me back, but the effort / gesture would have went a long way here. This place is not looking for return customers and it shows. I walked out of this restaurant scouring over the bill trying to figure out why I just spent $100 at this restaurant, and why we just didn't grab food from the gas station across the street.

Strongly recommend you stop in for a hamburger and ice cream. I love the drive inn burgers and sandwiches here! The fries are the best, hand cut, and nicely served! The staff are extremely nice! You'll receive a very Canadian "hello and welcome." You do have to go up and order then receive a number and pick up your tray of food.

It is mostly burgers, chicken and sandwiches. It is a very old style diner inside with no charm or redeeming qualities - arborite tables and chairs. The food is very expensive for what you get - $3.00 for coffee, $9.50 for 2 piece chicken snack and $2.00 for a small soft drink. Because the kitchen is open you can hear the staff talking among themselves and we heard a disparaging remark made about us. Note to staff - when you make comments about me I can hear you and I do not appreciate your comments. The food was disgusting. We both had a 2 piece chicken snack. The French fries were well beyond well done and the chicken was greasy. When I lifted up my chicken I noticed that the oil on the plate from the chicken was green so I don't know how often they change the oil if at all. This is definitely a place to stay away from.

The Pony is a great spot to grab dinner or go for drinks in Pemberton…read more My friend and I came for dinner on a Saturday night at 8 pm and the whole place was hopping. This seems to be the place to be on a Saturday night in Pemberton! We snagged one of the last empty tables. They have a large selection of alcohol, from cocktails to beers and wine. I was impressed by the diversity of the food menu as well. Not only do they have standard pub food like burgers and sandwiches, wings, pizza, fish and chips, etc., but they also have a selection of Asian dishes like chow mein and Thai curry. Aside from the standard menu, they also offer daily specials which are written on a blackboard. When we came, they had seafood chowder, Korean pork pizza, and rigatoni pasta on the specials board. We shared the shiitake chow mein with chicken added ($17.50 + $5 for the chicken) and a custom pizza with tomato slices and oregano ($19.50). Both were solid, and we left very full and satisfied. We ended up taking some of the pizza and noodles home as leftovers, as the portions were big, especially for the pizza.

It's located next to a bike shop, so go in and peruse, and head next door for some delicious sandwiches. I LOVED my gyro and the poutine was pretty good. But to me, even bad poutine is good, so take that for what it's worth. The burgers are small but stacked, and I liked the pear cider. We did get dessert and while simple, they were pretty good. Service was great, if not a biiiiiiit slow, but we were the first table in there right upon opening, so they were still sort of getting things ready. It was summer, doors were open, and yes there were some flies, but that's kind of what you get in the PNW summers. Don't let it deter you - it's got some gems on the menu.
