I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and overall feel of the place. It's a little on the expensive side for a burger and fries, however, the ambiance, free wifi, and fact that they serve alcoholic drinks is a plus. It would be a great place for a casual date or in the summer time eating outside. I ordered the Canadian burger, fries and shake and would likely order that again. Service was fast, they cook the patties almost in front of you and the staff was friendly and efficient. It's worth trying and making your own judgement call. :)

So the most disappointing part about moving to London has been the lack of a really great burger place. Some folks like another location downtown, though I felt it was not at all what you are made to expect. What is weird is I easily think South St. Burger is the best burger joint in the city... and it's a chain. So yeah call me a bad burger aficionado or whatever, but trust me - I'm from ranching country and know a good burger. This is the best I have seen so far. Admittedly the indoors are cool (though of course not something you can really enjoy during the pandemic). The staff were a low light to be honest. The manager seems to under support their team, and you will often find the person that is doing the till also making the food. This makes things slow... and possibly unhygienic (though thats beyond my own abilities to understand). They also tried to upsell us on several add-ons, and presented them as free options. That was pretty disingenuous. The food itself was pretty solid. The patty not overcooked nor drowned in sauce (cough cough... I see you other 'better' burger joint in London... cough). The buns were nice, with just the right amount of fresh-crisp! We got fries to share each time, because they are larger at least for us, and they were relatively solid, if nothing to write home about. Honestly, this place is not that much more expensive than a burger dinner for two at McDonalds, and is easily a better option. And McDonalds is not the best comparison for quality, because again, the local burger shack downtown doesn't hold a candle to what we had here. It's kind of just worth mentioning - don't move here if you love burgers. You'll be sad. Very sad.

I was overwhelmed with options until I discovered that John Catucci had popped into The Bungalow for an episode of You Gotta Eat Here, because I can't possibly say no to a joint that's received the Catooch seal of approval. We showed up in the early afternoon and the place was crowded but not completely full, which meant we were able to snag a nice booth in the middle of the restaurant. Having watched the segment on You Gotta Eat Here, I felt like I had no choice but to order the Nicky-John Burger ("House Made Lamb Patty, Goat Cheese, Arugula, Roasted Red Pepper, Grilled Onion, Tzatziki, Toasted Sesame Kaiser") and I got that with a bowl of their habanero beer cheese soup. It's a really tasty burger. All the components work really well together and the lamb patty itself is flavorful and very tender, although I will say that the copious goat cheese was occasionally a little overwhelming. A little of that stuff goes a long way. The soup was also quite tasty, and I enjoyed that hint of spice in it, too. It was maybe a little too heavy to eat with a burger, but I think it'd be delicious on its own. I really loved the vibe of The Bungalow.
