Today, I stopped by to purchase a small 6x6 inch of protective film I needed. After saying he needed to "ask the owner", he came back and said it would be $25. While I was happy to pay something, we're talking about what is literally a piece of leftover scrap PPF film. I had $10 but was so offended, I just left and ordered it on Amazon for $9. Sucks when you try to support local businesses since I live just a couple blocks away but you're met with this type of sales attitude.

The guy taking my order just asked what I wanted on each window. I did my research and knew what I wanted, so I told him the film and shades, he said ok, done. I'm so used to shops trying to upsell me that I came in ready to say no, no, and no. Never had to. And never had to flag either of them down to ask something, or feel like I was bothering them. Had tint done somewhere else before so I've got something to compare to, and the work here is noticeably cleaner. Edges are tight, way fewer water pockets and they're tiny, I expect them gone soon. Probably bringing my 1st gen Taco here next to get retinted. Drove almost an hour each way and still worth it. Will update review if anything changes but I'm satisfied with the result.

I went with 5% Rayno, and that's where it went wrong. Rayno offers 2 colors for tint so the 5% didn't match the one he used for the windshield, I wish I researched this but the 5% is brown and the windshield has a grey tone. He also sliced the rubber on the front fixed glass, he also didn't tint it all the way for the small front fixed glass. Personally for what I paid I'm not too far off from getting Xpel XR Plus. Yes I told him I'm disappointed and really it's a FYI but as a business owner he decided to just read my message and not reply. He clearly doesn't give a crap, he got my money and this review will not steer people away but I'm venting. I HAD tint and I was removing the glue and I told him I'm leaving the corners for him because I didn't want to cut the rubber and what do you know? He cuts and damages the rubber. I'm ordering replacement parts now for the damaged rubber seals to which the glass is attached to and will need to retint the car. So I'm going to be nearly $1000 down the hole for this ordeal. So thank you for taking my money.

I came in to replace the old tint on just ONE window. It took 3 hours, for a job that should take…read moreabout an hour. When they finished, I noticed a bunch of scratches on the glass that weren't there before, going in all directions and really sharp. There were also lots of bubbles, but they told me those would go away soon. It was also way darker than what was on there before, and they said it would lighten up a little after it set. I went back because it was clearly darker than the original and the bubbles never went away. It was dirt trapped under the tint. They told me not to expect perfection, that some dirt in tint is normal, and that my car is hard to work on so the install wasn't great. They redid it, which took another 2 hours, and then admitted the installer used the darkest tint they have instead of matching what was there before. They also tried to say the scratches were already there and only showed up because the tint was darker now. That's not true. Their installers are clearly not good at this. And the second time was STILL full of bubbles and dirt. That's the kind of work I'd expect from a guy in his home garage, not a real business. Once again I was told it's normal and won't be perfect. It's super unprofessional to damage the glass like this. It looks like they just cut the old tint off and scratched the window instead of using steam to remove it the right way. And no tint job should have this many bubbles and dirt in it. They had an excuse for everything, and I'm left with damaged glass that they won't admit to damaging, plus a tint job I could probably do better myself. I wasted hours of my time and got damaged glass, and the shop never once admitted fault. The audacity to try and say it's to be expected and is installed how it should be is crazy. I wouldn't bring a car here under any circumstances. Honestly I'm surprised they're still in business. Maybe people just don't know, but a few other reviews here describe the same kind of experience.
