I was having a difficult time finding a Tailor who worked on leather, I took it to A&S and in under a week my jacket was shortened with a even better looking hem the original and the zipper hardware's were all changed from cheap silver to a nice vintage brass. The tailor himself was very excited about how the jacket came out and even took me to the back to show me the machine he used. It's incredible to see someone so passionate about their craft. It's like clockwork at the end of the year graduation is near . Always a lot of Young men here getting fitted for prom or some sort of quinceanera. I was literally getting a lottery ticket next door when I finally decided to come inside. This is definitely an option for someone on a budget. Found this tie and handkerchief for five dollars. The reviews about Alberto being rude and unprofessional are correct. There is no doubt he is a great tailor but he lacks customer service skills. He is impatient and pushy. He also over charged me. It was my first time getting a work button up shirt tailored so I wasn't aware that he over charged me so much until I did my research. However I was satisfied with my shirt and would have continued business with him had he not been so unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I called for a quote in the morning and brought in my pants to be hemmed by 1 PM. It was done in 15 minutes but I had to get back to work so I picked it up at 4.45 PM, 15 minutes to closing. The person helping me was really nice and I paid $12 for a same day job. Great service, great prices. Would definitely come here again. read more

I never write reviews. You can literally go to my profile and see that this is the only review I've ever written. And I'm writing it to say that all the 1 star reviews on here are very accurate. The shop owner got mad because I showed up and then I asked him "you don't want me here?" And he said "what do you want and when do you need it because I have a lot of work already" then when I told him what I needed he tried to charge me double what I would pay anywhere else. The man here is soooooo rude. I called before coming and they said they could do my alterations and when I came in he was trying to charge me $30 for a pair of shorts. Waaaay over priced especially for their location. He did not want to do any of my simple alterations he just kept giving me excuses yet still wanted me to try on my clothes to fit them. So strange. It's a ghost town in there, I know they were not busy especially because the woman who answered told me so over the phone. I guess he didn't want my business. Seems lazy to me. He has no idea what customer service is. Trying to compare his tailoring business to making appointments at a doctors office. Umm no honey it's not the same. I was willing to pay extra rush fee but after he was so rude to me I took my clothes elsewhere. Try everywhere else before coming here!! Waste of time! read more

Great tailor in S.Downey. I bring all my suits to this place and they get the fit is perfect every time. I needed something very custom made and they had no problem creating a what I wanted. Extremely rude. I called to check the price on something. I gave the guy exact measurements, what I needed, and what it was. He kept yelling his frustration about me coming in because he needs to know what it is. This, despite me telling him all of that information. So jus picked up my jeans from this place , was my first time I ever went there , & I'm sooo happy how he left them , I was anxious picking them up becuz I'm picky with my jeans & he did an excellent job ! 25$ per pair of jeans for alteration not to bad , they get the job done in a timely fashion , great place recommend highly ! Best tailor in socal i went there last minute and they sold me full outfit the staff there is amazing Don Angel pulled over 10 suits in 5 minites all my size size im a big guy 6'3 and they dressed me for my bday outfit he had it done the same day i really recommend him his prices are amazing with all his brand suits unlike nordstrom that you pay 500$ or more and it takes two weeks. Horrific experience. I had alterations done at this place and the service was not what i asked for. In attempting to resolve the owner said to come down and discuss. I thought great I went down to the place just to be given the run-a-round. If that was bad enough I was spoken to rudely and on one attempt the owner was in the back I heard him them to say he wasnt there. All of a sudden no one in the place can help me other than the owner. It was ridiculous. I was not as if I was asking for free service I was even willing to pay extra if there were additional cost, even though on the phone the owner acknowledged he made the mistake and would make corrected alterations. I have yet to receive a call back or another face to face with the owner. I rarely post but the service warrants it. I would give zero stars if possible. Do not use this service. They are only nice when its convenient for them. I have had other minor situations but this was by far too much!! read more

They charge almost double what anyone in Downey will charge. Get pinned at other tailors first and get their estimate before coming here. It cost me $125 just to get a suit taken in, sleeves shortened, and pants lengthened. read more

This place does a great job with tailoring, I have been their client for 5+ years and they never fail. If they are not swamped with work, they can do a last minute fix up the same day. I would recommend this place highly to anyone! Two thumbs up. read more
