I have never had such a hard time getting ahold of someone in doing business with. If you need your items in a timely manner do not take your items here. Her hours show one thing but she opens up shop whenever she feels like it. I've left items to be done with her, and she will tell me to come back at a certain time and she is not there for me to pick up my items. I have been to Liz Tailoring many times. This lady is awesome. She knows exactly what she's doing. If you want your T-shirt altered. She takes you behind the curtain. You put the shirt on. She marks it up. You take it off put your other shirt and or pants on and you just keep changing out and she just keeps marking them up when you get them back they're perfect. My weight was up and then my weight was down and then up and down. I didn't want to keep buying clothes to accommodate my yo-yo dieting so now I'm stable. I'll take everything back in and get them done all over again. The quality of her work is top notch. She's only open I believe in the afternoon early evenings, cause she's sewing all day in the mornings any extra service that I have requested on the a beautiful dress she was able to form fit it to my body as though it came out brand new. Perfect alterations! I almost hate to leave this review because there are some days since it's such a small shop that the line is all the way out the door and people have a bunch of clothes in the 33 gallon trash bags so you just get in line and wait your turn get there early. The cost of her work is so much better than trying to go find new clothes for purchase. It's been a while since I've been there so I don't want to quote any prices but I have my own 33 gallon trash bag that's ready to go to Liz tailoring. regarding cost, well it's hard enough to find tailoring shops. You can get a few things done at a dry cleaners. I've used this place for years, always quality work at a great price! Great place for simple or difficult repairs / alterations.

Very poor service. I had my wife drop off 2 work shirts to get patches sewn on and she dropped them off Monday morning. The receipt said pick up Saturday after 3:00. I showed up Saturday at 2:45 and she said the shirts weren't ready and return after 4:00. Had to be at work so my wife picked them up Monday. She showed my wife the first shirt and the patch looked good. What she didn't show her was the second shirt where the patch was sewn on very noticeably crooked, which tells me she rushed this job late Saturday afternoon and didn't have enough pride in her work to fix it. She intentionally showed my wife the good patch to hide her shoddy workmanship. Needless to say I didn't return to get the patch sewn on correctly because she obviously didn't care so I took my business elsewhere. I wouldn't so much as trust her with a simple hem. Liz is a master tailor and her work speaks for itself! I personally know dozens of people who have trusted her for wedding dress fittings and alterations, prom dresses, tuxes, and personally several suit fittings. I'm a very meticulous person so I can say that she definitely pays attention to detail! One only word of advice; being that she is so good and sought for, at times the timeline of completion may be off by a day or two. So keep this in mind when looking to have some work done before an important event. Aside from that, I can only share so much gratitude for Liz. Let's start off by saying, I was referred to Liz by several people and was ecstatic to work with her, after hearing about her amazing work and reasonable prices. On 06/18/2021, I went into her shop, wedding dress in hand. Liz told me she wouldn't be able to assist me today, because she had to finish another project. Liz then told me, to text her on Tuesday, 06/22/2021, to schedule an appointment. I text her that day, and she didn't respond. I then waited a few hours and proceeded to call. I spoke to Liz briefly and she said to send her pictures of my dress and to call her back on Monday, 06/28/2021 at 6PM. Let's keep in mind that I needed my dress done by 07/13/2021, which I informed her and she said that would be enough time. After I text her my pictures of my dress she asked a few questions and told me to call her on Monday, 06/28/2021. Here comes 06/28/2021, and I text her at 6:30PM, because I was at work. NO RESPONSE!!! I called and left a voicemail thinking she would respond, NOPE didn't happen. I figured, okay she maybe very busy, I'll just go to her shop tomorrow. I arrived at her shop on 06/29/2021 at 6:30PM (mind you store hours are until 7PM). I was greeted by another woman who said Liz was closed for the day and to come back tomorrow. I'm thinking okay, people say she's really good and reasonable, not to mention local, so I tried going back to the shop on 07/01/2021. When I went in, I told her who I was and that I'd been trying to get in contact with her. Liz then proceeded to ask, when I would need my dress done by, and to send her pictures (yet again) and she'd call me back before Saturday morning to set an appointment. I sent her pictures of my dress again, and guess what STILL NO RESPONSE!!!And still no response and it's 07/02/2021. I truly do not appreciate the non-communication, the failure to follow through, and the u nexceptional customer service this owner provided. If she didn't have time to assist me, that's all that needed to be said, oppose to having a potential customer run back and forth to the shop, and trying to communicate. I would NEVER refer anyone to this place of business as my overall experience was beyond horrible. Luckily, I was able to find another establishment that was able to fulfill my needs and in s timely manner. read more

If times are too stressful don't take too much work orders. she was very rude about it when i ask about my order. she will put on your receipt " I WILL CALL YOU " which means you will never hear from her. First and last time I go...lady there seems to crack under pressure now granted she does get busy and seems to have a loyal customer base so she must be doing something right. My jacket needs the zipper replaced. It's needed the zipper replaced for nearly 2 years already, but as they say... "Out of site = out of mind", right? However the desire for self-preservation (and not being cold) is strong. As I was planning a trip to Portland, OR and with the daily highs expected in the low 40's, it was time to finally got off my ass and find a tailor to replace the zipper. A co-worker suggested Liz's saying he's taken a number of items to be altered, with good results and at a reasonable price. Long story - short, I drive to Liz's, walk in the door and speak to her about what I need. She said to replace the zipper will be $16. OK, done. I tell her when I need it back (giving her about 2 weeks). I go back on the pick-up day, it's done, it looks "factory", I hand over my $16 and am out the door. I didn't freeze while in Portland, so I'm a happy camper. read more

This is the mpst unprofessional place i have been to. I came for a simple hemming of my uniform pants and some patches put on my shirts. I didnt know how long it would take so i asked her to tell me how long she needed. She said 5 days and i said no problem. I came back after 1 week (7 days) to pick up my uniform and i found them in the corner of the shop just sitting in a pile. Not one was even started. I asked her what happened and she said she forgot. She said she would start them at that time and i can come back around 630pm cause she closes at 7. I am here now, and wouldnt you know it, still sitting there in the corner. Never coming back to this place again. Be careful if you have an event to go to. Your item may not be ready. Disappointed in the service is an understatement! You have been warned. Who doesn't love Liz Tailor!?!? I had some straps for my hockey gear that needed sewing on a Friday night at 6pm for a game that night. I tried a place in Lakewood (Hannah's Tailoring).. the place was empty and the guy wasn't doing anything at the counter. Seemed like he had the 10 minutes to just sew the straps real quick.. Nope! Told me 20$ and couldn't do it til the next day. No thanks! I then checked maps and drove to a place called Stitches in Time. The seamstress had gone home for the night. The owner was very nice and suggested Liz's Tailor. Even though I arrived 20 minutes before closing, Liz was friendly and helpful. She was able to sew the straps quickly and wished me luck at my game. The price was less than at Hanna's and Liz was much easier on the eyes! The straps worked out great and we won the game. Terrible!! Horrible!! Unprofessional!! I have been to Liz several times and she never kept her word! This last time I asked before dropping off my suit if she would be able to do it before my business trip and she said yes. I told her I was traveling Monday night on a red eye and she said it will be ready on Monday at 6pm. I asked are you sure??? She said yessss!! When I walked in Monday at 6pm her sister said oh she never mentioned anything about your suit and Liz is running errands!! WTH?!?! she asked what does your suit look like?!? I describe My suit and it was still sitting in the dressing room where I tried it on the week before . She never did anything with it!! I was in shock, devastated that I was going on this trip without the suit I needed.. This place should be shut down! Customer Service When I first dropped off my suit I must admit I was kind of nervous because it was my first time. The lady behind the counter assured me my suit would be ready on time. They were both very courteous. Prices It was very in expensive which made me even more nervous lol she charged me $25 to alter my suit and make all sorts of adjustments. My friend was charged $50 in downtown L.A. for similar work. Results I was able to pick up my suit when they said it would be ready and I was very happy with the results. I would definitely go back. So, I bought my suit & was directed here by the suit store. From the time I walked in and got the blank stare from Liz, I wasn't really feeling a great vibe, but figured I'd give it a whirl. So, when she was finally ready to help me, I was sent into this makeshift dressing room to put my suit on for measuring and alteration mark up. Well, she did her thing & I told her what I was after with my pants & jacket.....she told me to come back one week later. So, I picked up my suit one week later and again, the customer service was less than stellar and with another lady in there, I was barely greeted & got the feeling that I was interrupting their social time. Overall, the tailoring was sub-par and as mentioned before, the customer service wasnt good at all. I'll take my chances with another tailor. read more

This place is horrible! About a month ago I took a dress for alterations and I had to be on her to finish the the repairs on the dress. I gave her a second change to alterate my jeans and cut down a dress and Liz tells me come in a week. I get there and its not even done and her sister has an attitude!!! Bad customer Service! We went here because of a recommendation/referral from family friend or something. She got her wedding dress altered here, what was she thinking? Seriously this lady is unprofessional. I think the number she has listed is her personal cell phone number. She gets help from 2 or 3 other people. She seems to be overwhelmed or something all the time I went in. I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered. She did an okay job, I mean she was affordable, but I wish I just went somewhere with better service and paid the higher price. She mixed all the bridesmaid information/dresses. She gave my dress to another bridesmaid (the bride was smart and wrote our names in the tag of the dress -- I mean we could always look at sizes, but some of us are the same size). She called the wrong bridesmaid to let them know when the dress was ready. She also hung up on one of the bridesmaid. At some point, she only allowed a certain amount of people in our place and would lock the door, why? She said not everyone would fit. She made us stand in the cold (this was after 5pm). This Tailor shop is Terrible service, when Liz's first open up this shop her work was ok but her Price was cheaper than the rest, but she really need help because she try to do everything herself, and that's where the mistakes, I have came there dropped off five para pants that I needed her to him up, why did I realize one leg is longer than the other, not just one pair on all five so when I took him back the next day she never say I'm sorry. I honestly have no idea where all these negative comments are coming from! She does seem kind of scattered but its because shes probably really busy. We had to wait a few minutes for her to help us but it was because she was in the middle of something and i understand that sometimes you jsut have to finish. I took my dress in in the middle of prom season and i needed something with the bust and length fixed. She told me okay come back in a week, $50 for both things but it seemed pretty good considering that she had to basically open the entire dress and put it back together for the bust. The entire thing only took five minutes including me trying it on for her. I came back a week later and its exactly how she said it would be bust and length fixed exactly how i wanted it. She does a great job. I like to get my jeans altered here. I am short and can never find jeans or other pants in the length i need. She knows exactly how the hem should be after she has you try them on and questions you to get a sense of how you like the length. I love knowing that I don't have to worry about my pant hem always coming out looking great. She does all kinds of alterations and sewing.
