I have been using A&S Landscaping for 6 months now. My husband is Military and has been deployed for several years now. The yard maintenance became too hard to keep up with. I am 55 yrs. old, work full time & enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren. Melvin & his Team have been doing an outstanding job keeping up wirh my yardwork. They arrive on time & when they are scheduled. They are very communicative if an emergency cones up & they must change to schedule a bit. I am extremely pleased with them. DEFINITELY STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! A&S Landscaping Solution, Owner Melvin Melvin will show up promptly to give you a low quote to get your business, he then will call and text you every day to follow up for the job. Once he gets the job and gets paid, he will not answer you calls or text, here is the detail issue with Melvin and his Company A&S Landscaping Solutions: he showed up and quoted me based on 7 irrigation zones, 6.5 pallets of sod & 5 yards of soil, the job was supposed to start on Oct 2nd and completed on Oct 4th (2 days per his contract) he completed the job not until on Oct 13th!... that is with me having to call every day to push him to get it completed, he would say he would come out and never show up, my yard was a complete mess as they started the irrigation process on Oct 2nd and dug up holes everywhere and left it incomplete due to the rain on Oct 3rd, he never came up until Oct 6th to continue the work, then he constantly used the excuse that the SOD company had no sod due to the rain. But when I checked every other SOD company, they had Sod available. This was a lie as he was too busy closing off other jobs and couldn't get his crew to come out and close off my job, he finally showed up on Oct 12th to close off the irrigation work, after I told him it must be done as my HOA is on my case, and if not completed by Oct 13th let's just close off the irrigation and I'll get the sod done with another company, all of a sudden he showed with sod on Oct 13th after my sod cancellation call, it was all lies from him before, his worker broke my water faucet as he was the only one working in that area and using the faucet, they took matters into their own hands and called a plumber to repair the faucet without informing me after the Plumber showed up and started working on fixing the faucet, Melvin called me to inform me that the faucet broke on its own and they have not touched it... how is this possible??? The Faucet was perfectly fine before (lies) he told me that his plumber will fix it and I asked at whose cost? He said I have no choice we must fix it to continue with the irrigation work and we'll figure out the cost later, this broken faucet turns out to be $800! just to weld it back, I stated to Melvin, that I have home insurance and they would have fixed this at $0 cost had he given me the chance to call them and setup an appt. He then closed off the irrigation job on 12th and started the Sod on 13th, he said he bought over 6.5 pallets of sod then ran out and needed another 1.5 pallets of sod which is now 8 pallets of sod, I've gotten many other quotes from 5 irrigation companies prior and no one quoted me more than 6 pallets of SOD, he lied again, he only bought over 5 pallets that morning and this was his way to make money (cheating me) then bought over another 1.5 pallets at additional cost to me, he never bought over the 6.5 pallets to begin with, so now he is not charging me for 6.5 but for 8 pallets!, I asked why when you came over and measured the yard he stated that it only needed 6.5 pallets of SOD, his reply was he miscalculated...yet another (lie) they then proceeded to complete the sod and rush the work as it was at the end of day and he had to go to another job, heard him telling him workers hurry up as we need to be in Katy soon to finish up the other job in Spanish, so they just dropped the sod VERY sloppy with a lot of gaps and did not do a good job placing the sod, it was laid on top of each other in certain areas and on one corner they missed sod and a spray head so the grass was not getting any water, I then called Melving the day after and told him how sloppy of a job they had done and that they missed an area and few rotors spray heads was not spraying asking him when would he get this completed? no answer for 2 days over text or phone call, he finally reached out and came out on Oct 20th and fixed the heads, at the same time I showed him the area that was missed by his workers, he said he will come out someday and get it done, I've been in contact with him since Oct 21st till Nov 7th my last text to him as he quit responding or willing to give me a date to complete the job he got paid for, you definitely DO NOT want to go through what I went through with Melvin with A&S Landscaping Solution. Save yourself the hassle and time and find another company as he will cheat you by increasing material or brake something to make more $$$ btw I counted the sods myself 3 times and I then realized that I was definitely cheated as he only used 6.5 pallets (936 pcs) not 8 pallets (1,152 pcs) I believe this is a common practice with this company, I also shared his info to my neighbor in good faith who was in need of irrigation/sod work, as I trusted this company at first however after all this mess I've been through I then updated my neighbor with what I went through, he confirmed he will not work with this company going forward. read more

Half assed everything. All plants that they planted died due to planting too shallow and hiding it with mulch. Tried to take home any extra materials even though we paid for them ourselves. Would never use again or recommend. read more
