The 3 gentleman were here for our move were great! They greeted us by introducing themselves, were friendly, were efficient, and got things done quickly but carefully. A&M Friendly Movers was the best moving experience we've ever had and there is plenty of competition! The three guys, Jim, Wyatt and Larry, were superb. Everyone I dealt with BEFORE the actual move, Amber and Matt (hence, the A&M!!) were great. The estimate was very fair but the way their moving team worked was unbelievable! They were able to fit my larger pieces in the elevator when we were expecting they would have to be carried up to the third floor! That was a miracle. they assembled a bed, placed everything perfectly. We love A&M Friendly Movers! The guys were available with 1 day notice (we called on Friday for a move on Monday) to come and pack up our entire townhouse. They were professional, kind and courteous, and amazingly kept up the energy during an extended day of work. A&M also provided storage services for us as we were in between homes, which was incredibly helpful and cost efficient. We had A & M Friendly movers move us from PA to Delaware at the end of August. The movers were very friendly; however, several pieces of furniture were broken. One item was a mirror for a dresser. Another item was the leg of an antique dresser, which they tried to disguise with tape, and an end table which had to be trashed because they broke two legs off of it. I was only aware of the broken mirror when they left. When I looked at the final bill, I noticed that I was charged over $100 for using a credit card. Companies are required to notify consumers if they will be charged a fee. But A & M movers never notified me and didn't respond to my email when I asked about it. Do not recommend them. read more

We had an estate sale related move, so it was an emotional time. The entire A&M team understood our situation and were fantastic throughout the entire process. Tom O'Neill was especially thoughtful as we negotiated our way through the contract. They had absolutely no problem doing the work on a Sunday. Moving is always a stressful event. We had a late change in plans and we needed a local mover to move the contents of a large storage unit to our new house. Luck and r coincidence we received a postcard from A&M that day and we called them. The staff and owner (spoke to both) were very friendly, talked through what we needed and told us they were able to accommodate our needs with very short notice. Horrible experience. Wish I had done more research because the Oxford location has terrible reviews when you dig a little deeper. Charged me for more than quoted - and was moving from a small townhome to another small townhome. Was billed for a long lunch. Damaged multiple pieces of furniture and acted like it wasn't a big deal. Scraped the walls. Left furniture incomplete and got annoyed when I asked them to finish. Left trash and screws in my front yard. Rude and unprofessional. One worker was vomiting in my bathrooms all day. He threw up all over the toilet in my new home and I had to scrub it clean before anyone could use it. When the work was done, the 3 men called Tom and stared at me while Tom asked how the work was. As a single woman, it was highly uncomfortable and intimidating. I called Tom back immediately after the men left to tell him this and explain how unhappy I was with the service - but no return call. I tried to dispute the charge and the company told the bank I lied. One of the men tried to hug me inappropriately as they were leaving. Do not recommend at all. Tried to call and email multiple times to resolve with no response. read more

The worst moving experience with this company! They broke furniture, lost the hardware for disassembled furniture and refuses to call you back. Do Not use this company! Another company even stated that they ripped us off by looking at how our belongings were packed. Doesn't even deserve one star, but can't leave a review without it. read more

A & M are definitely Friendly Movers. Our move was local in North Carolina. Working with Amber was a pleasure. She answered all my emails and calls. Their prices were more than reasonable. The crew came when they said they would. They were quick, efficient, and professional. My furniture was handled with care and removed and delivered with no damage or loss. The process to schedule movers was very easy. On the day of the move, the crew was extremely efficient and I was moved out of my old place into the new one in just under 3 hours. Tom made the planning seamless and our two movers worked tirelessly!! They were super careful with my mom's antiques and amazingly patient as they had to slow down for the assisted living environment. This company was unbelievable. Devin arrived on time, all of the guys did a fantastic job, making sure to cover all items, and carefully move them out of the home ensuring that no walls were bumped, scuffed, or damaged. Everything was moved into the new home, they took the time to ensure that it was in the correct rooms, were we wanted it, and set up correctly. We ended up having to use a 2nd truck and additional assistance at the last minute because of the size of our home and belongings, but Tom and Amber did a great job of communicating to use all of the information we needed. We spent right around the amount of money I had expected, with the amount of time it took them to load from 2 different locations and deliver. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, the value was more than we expected, and we would use them again, if the need arose. (I never want to move again though LOL) read more

The price quoted is what I paid and there were no hidden fees. I highly recommend them. They are well worth the money! We moved yesterday and I cannot say enough good things about our moving experience. We were sent an inventory check list over a week before our move to give them an idea of what they would be moving. We had questions and Tom was just super helpful answering all of them and assured us not to worry. The day of the move, we received a courtesy phone call to letting us know they would be arriving in 30 minutes. Sure enough 30 minutes later, Chris, Jarrett and Nate arrived with a big truck. We were worried not everything would fit (because we have a LOT of stuff), but they moved everything in one trip in six hours. They introduced themselves and handled every situation with care including our difficult door situation, low ceilings, a water spill, etc. Every box was placed in the correct room and they even reassembled some of our furniture that had to be broken down. Also they even let me help move (I insisted because I wanted a "workout" for the day). Jarrett was especially kind and personable and helped make the day enjoyable versus stressful. I hope we never have to, but if we do, we will absolutely use A & M in the future. Thank you so much for all of your help! read more
