Work and service is always exceptional. It does generally take a couple weeks; but, they will accommodate rush orders as business allows.

Absolutely a wonderful couple to work with! I came in thinking I needed a corset added to the back of my wedding dress (an astounding thrift store find) for it to fit. Ilham quickly assured me that it had been taken in once, and once it was let out again, it would be a perfect fit. They also loosened the shoulder straps and added beading in such a way that you could never tell! The work was completed quickly (well before the wedding) and they gave me a price I thought very fair -- all told, I paid less than $300 for my wedding dress, including the alterations. I liked them so much I recommended them to my bridesmaids. I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered before my friend's wedding. The turnaround time for work is one week, but they can do rush orders as well for an additional fee. The work they did on my dress was excellent! This will definitely be my go to place for alterations in town. Went there I want to say the 2nd or 3rd of November to get two suit jackets and one pair of pants altered. They were very nice in telling me what sort of alterations I needed, and even told me what were unnecessary. They asked me when I needed it done by, I said the week of the 21st of November, as I had something important coming up requiring a suit. The lady told me that they'll have it done by the 17th of November. Perfect, so I dropped it off and left. Two weeks later, it is the 17th, and I haven't received a phone call telling me my order is ready, no biggie they're a professional service, they'll have it. But I'm occupied with classes and decide to pick it up later. My mistake, because when I dropped by Friday the 20th, they still haven't completed my suit. They tell me they'll get it done by tomorrow, which is unacceptable because I need it before then. They then tell me they can finish it by 5pm Friday.. Now I am on a time crunch, I need it altered, and don't have anywhere else to take it. I have no choice but to accept. Less than an hour and half later I get a call saying both jackets and pants are altered and done. Now this is kind of funny, they are backlogged so much they cannot bother to call me on the 17th to tell me my order will be late so I can plan ahead, instead I have to find out myself. And when put on the spot, they are magically able to give a turnaround time of 1.5 hours. Now I'm not a tailor so I cannot comment on the length of time it takes to do such alterations, but 1.5 hours makes me feel they rushed it and did not pay as much attention to detail as they should have. Maybe they did have a crazy backlog that I am unaware of, but they don't have the common courtesy to call their customers telling them they wont deliver on the service they were PAID for. Lesson learned, they've lost a customer. read more

Don't trust anyone else with your clothing. Guys: Bought a suit? Let someone who knows what they're doing measure you and tailor it. That someone is Mike. Doesn't matter if you need it tomorrow or a month from now, he can do it and the work is always quality. Quite possibly the nicest two people on the planet. Run, don't walk. read more

These people and their business get NO STARS from me.. Let me tell you what happened.... I took my daughters prom dress in 4 weeks ago to be altered for her prom this Saturday (5-16-2015).. It was suppose to be ready on the 10th, which was on Mothers Day so I told him I would come in on Monday.. I go in the business and ask to pick up the dress, THEY CANT FIND IT!!! They continue to look for the next 30 minutes, still unable to find it!!!! So they finally find it behind some boxes on the dirty, nasty floor!!!!! It had never been looked at since we took it in 4 weeks prior!! So, I get upset like any mother would because now m daughters dress is not gonna be read for prom!!! As I ask for my money back the man gets upset with me and tells me to get out of his store and that if I ever come back in his store it will cost me $500 for any alteration!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Very poor business if I must say!!! read more

The lady who works here is wonderful. There was a mix up in the date/pickup for some pants I dropped off. I had them scheduled to be picked up in a week, but they were not ready. She graciously tailored them overnight. When I went to pick them up I thanked her...and then the male of the store proceeded to lecture me about how that is bad for business. I explained the mix up, yet he insisted it was my fault and should not have had the lady tailor my pants overnight. I never told her to do that....it was a gracious act. Yet...this arrogant ass continues to lecture me. I told him I don't appreciate being lectured to and that I can take my business elsewhere. He said "fine, I don't need your business...we have plenty of customers. He said.."you are the one crying about this." WHAT A JERK!! He then practically tried to push me out the door. I will never go back there. The lady was so sweet, but that asshole just cost them one customer...which, of course, he could care less. read more

Came in to get my bridesmaids dress altered. I needed it to be shortened by 2 inches, cups to be sewn in, and the sides to be taken in an inch or so on each side. The total came out to be $121? ($135 if I wanted to pay with a card). My sister (the bride) is having the same alterations done to her dress as well as more and hers was only $90 (it's being done at a place where we are from about an hour away). I paid the $121 not knowing the above. After the bride informed me that I was being overcharged I went back to see if they would lower the price. The woman was very sweet and offered to take 20 or 30 off. Her husband however proceeded to get the dress and hand it back to me along with $115 ($5 for the time she spent fitting the dress). I told them I was very sorry if I was offending them but he just told me to go. I would have been happy with the $30 off... They obviously get enough business around here so being rude to a few customers doesn't phase them.. The only reason why I am giving them 2 stars is because the lady was very sweet. read more

I absolutely love working with the wonderful couple who own A&M alterations! They are the absolute sweetest people. They never fail to make me smile, and the quality of work they do is superb! While in college I had them make minor adjustments made to several casual dresses, and I was impressed every time by the results. I am now about to get married and I entrusted alterations on my wedding gown to them. I was nervous about getting it altered at all, as it is a lace gown and difficult to work with without showing where the material has been cut, but the sleeves were way too big on me, the back was a bit loose, and I needed a bustle. I was shocked at how flawlessly they managed to take in the sleeves and make the other necessary adjustments. I cannot tell at all where the material was cut and re-stitched, even under close inspection. We did a series of 3 fittings and each time, if something did not fit perfectly, they were happy to make the necessary adjustments. While price wasn't a huge concern for me, they are very fairly priced, and I doubt you could find anyone to do quality work for less. I am so happy I decided trust them with my wedding dress alterations. After hearing plenty of horror stories from friends about experiences at the local bridal shop, I knew I had to go with A&M Alterations. To any brides out there, do not hesitate for a second to take your gown to them, and do not let their small and low-key shop fool you! They do work on par with any of the finest bridal salons. I recently had a horrible experience with Bea's Alterations in College Station when I took my wedding dress to be altered. Horrified at what they did, I took it to A&M Alterations and the sweet owners did a WONDERFUL job in fixing my dress! They even came in on a Sunday (when they are normally closed) to give me my dress. It is lace and they added new side panels (of the same fabric) and you couldn't even tell it had been altered. (But of course, it fit perfectly!) I highly recommend A&M Alterations for any type of tailoring service. They do a great job! read more
