Stay away from A & E Transportation. The Owner Aaron who drove me and my family, stole from my bag. Before I got onto his car, I place some small jewelry and some cash about $70 on the top zip of my backpack. He saw me place it and said he would help me put it into the trunk. I said ok, and after I got off his car and got all my belongings I unzipped my backpack to grab the cash, and noticed the jewelry and cash missing. My girlfriends and I are super busy professionals with very busy lives and on the rare occasion we have the opportunity to have a girls trip we splurge and do it right. This experience was probably the most difficult for us to plan for multiple reasons but when we finally did it we were excited and we found A&E Transportation on Yelp and were happy with the ratings pictures and the price point for the time we wanted was perfect. Unfortunately yelp doesn't have a multi select rating system so let me break my rating down to you because I want to be transparent and honest. Cleanliness - 5: With the recent weather we expected there would be some dustiness but was pleasantly surprised that it was very clean. Driver & Safety - 4: The driver was very professional and friendly. He had water and ice for us and promptly took care of things we asked for. The blue tooth wasn't working properly when we started but he was great and helped immediately with it. It delayed our start but we had music so we were happy. The air conditioner also wasn't working and he provides us with options for this and it worked out. The only reason he didn't get a 5 was because of the time it took for us to get to our first stop. It took so long we had to ask for an unplanned stop for two of our ladies to use the restroom. It took longer to get back but that was due to the weather and it rained hard and he got us all home safely. Thank you sir! Customer Service - 0: A. The owner/scheduler weren't on the same page with the start time so they tried to charge us for an additional 1.75 mins when we only went over 45mins even though we technically had a late start due to the blue tooth and air conditioner. I have cameras in front and behind my home and have time stamps of when we left and arrived and they tried to charge us for different times. B. It was raining during the later part of our trip and the safety hatch on the roof was leaking so badly it was like it was raining inside. We wanted to inform the agency of what was happening to ensure they were aware and instead of saying thank you for letting us know the person on the other end was rude, blamed the driver and basically stated our experience was like it was because we were late and took extra stops. C. The number of messages received after we closed out the situation with a 10% refund was absolutely unprofessional. We were called complainers, accused of asking for a full refund, and accused of disrespecting black ones businesses and we were just being informative. At the end of the day we had a fantastic time and even tried to make the best of getting rained on. We had a great driver, the vehicle even though the air didn't work, the plugs were not useful, the blue tooth wasn't working and we were Raines on, was super awesome and most importantly we made it safe. It's unfortunate the owners do not have very good customer service when dealing with issues. I'd post all the messages as there were a ton but the owner said they've already been shared. I haven't seen them. I'm being generous with the 3stars as the experience with the owner was absolutely unprofessional. We had a great time so that helped. Note: We NEVER ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND and we were a total of 45mins late (Our time was 10:30-6:30) The driver arrived early, we loaded at around 10:40 and left at nearly 11 due to Blue tooth and Airconditioning issues. We arrived at the final stop at 7:20pm and that was primarily due to the weather as it was raining extremely hard on our way back, which is why the safety hatch leak was so extensive. I recently had an amazing experience with A&E. I contacted them for transportation for a large group flying to Hawaii for a family reunion. Lisa was our driver both to and from the airport. You can imagine how stressful it can be transporting 11 people to and from the airport (which included very young children). Lisa contacted me the day before each ride to inform me what time she would be arriving. She was early on both occasions which was comforting when arriving at SFO with 11 people at midnight. They also stored our car seat and had it set up upon arrival.
