We had gone to three or four furniture stores with no success before a friend recommended Milwaukee Furniture. We ended up finding exactly what we were looking for, for an extremely reasonable price, within a few minutes of entering the store. The salesman was helpful without being pushy. We scheduled our delivery date and someone from Milwaukee Furniture called two days prior to confirm and give us a delivery window. The told us our new couches would be delivered between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and they arrived around 11.30 a.m. The delivery guys were friendly, quick, careful not to scratch our walls or floors and they even took our old couches out to the trash for us. I would highly recommend checking this place out for your furniture needs. The pictures I'm posting include the set we liked in the store and the same set in our TV room. The color probably looks different because of the lighting but the sets are the same.

A great place to get unique, solid wood furniture! After buying a home in the midst of the pandemic…read moreand lumber shortages, it was really hard to find affordable wooden furniture. Upon discovering Nadeau, we found many pieces here that we love and make our home shine! How it works is that they'll have tons of pieces that are constantly rotating, I think often made from salvaged wood in India. Here are some tips we encountered: - Check the pieces carefully - make sure drawers or doors open and close well, and you may want to think about how things close. Some use a hook mechanism which can be tedious for a cabinet you use a lot. We made sure to get one with a magnetic closure. - Nadeau can put you in touch with freelancers who can deliver the furniture for you. Or you can rent a Uhaul and do it yourself! - They do have a very specific set of styles - when we went, it was a lot of mid-century modern, intricately carved stuff, and distressed paint. So it may not fit all styles. - Check their Instagram and join their mailing list! That way you can see their latest shipments and claim anything that catches your eye. Happy shopping!

We bought a beautiful dresser three years ago for ~$1000. It had everything we wanted in our price range, enough drawers for both of us, gorgeous details on the outside, that millennial grey color that we love, no complaints. Amazing service at the store. Within a few months, one of the handles snapped off one of my drawers. Then another. Nbd, someone is giving away really good drawer pulls in my local Buy Nothing group. Problem solved. Fast forward about a year, my bottom drawer breaks on the frame. No problem, I pick up a few wood screws from a friend and repair it myself. Now, about a year later, the front panel on one of the smaller drawers has come completely off on the left side, and I can't repair it. Over the three years we've had this dresser, it has slowly been breaking down in new and frustrating ways. And though the folks who work at Nadeau are really friendly people, that "all sales final rule" can and will bite you in the butt. But hey if I ever want to become an Airbnb landlord who pays as little money as possible for instagram-pleasing furnishings, this is the place. Edit- I lived in NYC when I created my yelp account over ten years ago. I never bothered to change my location until now (probably because I didn't know that was a thing!) Nadeau messaged me saying no one from the store recalls ever speaking with me- my husband called Nadeau about the drawers. Seeing as it was several months ago that he called, and his name isn't Holly, I wouldn't expect anyone to remember the call! As I said, the person was very nice, but told us that all sales are final, and that's fine! I have nothing against the quality service of the store, my problem is with the quality of the furniture.

My wife…read moreand I (with the help of other family members - too many cooks complicated this LOL!) had a difficult time trying to pick from all the awesome sofas and colors that Joybird provides. Plus, we had an odd shaped room that we recently rehabbed that we needed the sofa in, and the Joybird team patiently looked at our many diagrams of possibilities, made their own suggestions and fielded our questions. I am certain I would have not been as patient with us as they were. They didn't make us feel stupid for all our questions, or rush us when we were clearly "chieftains of indecision". This was true even when we lingered a bit long at or near closing time. The jaybird team made so many accommodations and changes for us and we felt genuinely cared for us even with our idiosyncrasies. We finally finally made up our minds on the exact sofa, number of pieces and color, and now have this great new sofa in our basement movie room. Even the delivery guys were exceptional. I would encourage anyone looking for furniture to check out Joybird in chicago. For sure!!! Chris S

We shopped around before ultimately picking a Joybird couch. The combination of comfort, color and…read moreoptions that fit into our space were what won us in the end, as well as helpful in store customer service from John both times we were in the shop. We got our couch during a sale, and even with adding back in the five-year warranty (which also included two large cushions as part of the package) the cost was cheaper than the list price. Our delivery was several weeks after ordering, which was sooner than estimated; the delivery guys unwrapped the couch parts and put on the feet, but oddly did not clip the sections together; seems like that should be done while everything is in its disassembled state? So now we have to figure that out. But happy with the couch so far: very comfortable (I don't want to get off of it).

So Miranda who goes by "mi mi" needs to remember she works there and WE shop there. There's a…read moredifference. First of all, she needs to learn how to welcome people into the store and not just stare and ignore people and not even try to talk to people. My checkout experience was terrible with her. Tried small talk and got silence from her. Literally!!! Secondly, someone needs to train her on how to use the computer bc either she didn't want to do her job or she has no idea how to do anything on the computer. She had to "redo" it like 5 times with the customer before me and with me. And lastly, (the main reason why I'm leaving this review), the AUDACITY with this lady to talk about other customers while customers are literally standing right next to her waiting....she spoke badly about an Indian gentlemen that goes into the store to buy rugs and how she can't believe he could actually have a house that big enough to even buy that many rugs so she believes he resells them. Thankfully the customer corrected her and said "we don't know that". And she's like "oh come on you think he actually has a house that big".....seriously pathetic of her. She should be fired. On another note, Mike was there and was the sweetest person and introduced himself and asked if he could help us with anything. Miranda you need to reassess your morals and remember YOU work there and WE are shopping there...sad woman. It's hilarious, workers like these act like they're somehow better than the customers when they are the ones working there lol. Leaving two stars bc Mike was cool but miranda, awful soul.
