I have about 22+ yrs FT delivery experience in my past, and for the past 9 years have also done about 8-15K miles of summer pleasure driving. That's a lot of cars and a lot of repairs. Rob's Auto has always been trustworthy and VERY fair in what they charge. They replaced a blinker light bulb recently and didnt even charge the full $42 minimum service fee right on their sign! If you want a mechanic you can trust will look out for your interests and not just get as much out of you as they can, and will do the job right - I highly recommend you try them.

They assured me this was a easy replacement and they knew how to do it. I drove home after the work to see rain coming in through my rear window. I brought it back and they repaired it or so I thought. The next rain it leaked at the drivers side window. I brought it back, on a nice day I put the top down only to find it would not fully engage in its decent. I brought it back, fixed I thought. Upon later inspection I noticed two small tears in the fabric at stress points, they had stretched it too tight. I called to voice my complaint and was told it would be fixed, I said I would bring it in next spring as it was Oct. and the car goes into storage for the winter. This spring I brought the car out and called for a time to bring it in for repair or replacement of the top, only to be told "we don't do convertible tops anymore". I reminded the receptionist I was told the repair had a two year warranty, she assured me it would be fixed. I asked that Rick the owner call me for a time to bring it in, he never called. I engaged the BBB to help me pursue the issue. Rick lied and said that they did not offer a two year service guarantee. Rick is a liar who is inept in his work as well as performance as a business owner! The work performed by these people is shoddy and not in anyway guaranteed. I had never encountered service this bad in my life before this. STAY CLEAR!

Extremely frustrated -- I haven't even gotten a chance to see what kind of work has been done on my…read morecar because I am STILL, after 9pm, waiting for them to be done with repairs that were estimated to be done by 6pm. This place is so unprofessional and I think they absolutely overbook themselves, as another reviewer suspected, based on my experience. I called Monday to ask about bringing my car in for new brakes. Was told to bring my car in at 2:30pm on Thursday and that I would be able to get it back by 6pm that day. Dropped my car off at 2:30 on Thursday. At 4:15, I get a call from them (and I should say it's really just one guy I have been dealing with -- who is super chill/laid back, which would be fine except that every interaction I have had with this guy, he basically had no information and gave me later estimates about when my car would be ready.) So at 4:15, he calls to tell me he hasn't looked at my car yet but wanted to know why I think I need new brakes. I told him that at my last oil change, they said I would need new brakes before my next oil change. He tells me he is going to get some parts and that he'll be able to work on my car in the next hour or so. Said he'll call me once he's taken a look. At 6:45, I haven't heard anything, so I call him to get an update. He still hasn't started working on my car, but estimates the car will be ready between 8 and 9pm. Mind you, this place supposedly closes at 6pm. He's still super relaxed on the phone -- starting to think he might be high. Literally. No apologies for anything, which by now pisses me off because my whole night is on hold because I now realize that who knows when my car will be ready. He promises to call me when the car is ready, allegedly sometime after 8pm. Says if I can't get the car tonight, I could pay with a credit card over the phone and he will leave the keys in the car and I can get it in the morning. I don't want to leave my frickin' car unlocked overnight, dude! I tell him if the car is done tonight, I want to get it tonight. At 9pm, guess what? He still hasn't called me. So I call him. HE CLAIMS HE IS JUST STARTING TO WORK ON THE CAR NOW. But who the hell knows, really. Says the work will take an hour. So around 10pm, it will be done. Supposedly. It's honestly not really the fact that it's taking longer than expected that bugs me -- it's that there is NO acknowledgment or even awareness that it is an inconvenience for me to just be waiting around for him to call when he says he's going to call (and then doesn't -- I keep having to call him to ask what the f is going on). What if I had needed to go somewhere after 6pm tonight? So basically, even if the repairs get done and are done well, I will never return to this place. It's amateur hour. They don't value your time. And based on the other review about the woman whose daughter moved to Seattle, I'm now nervous they aren't even going to do the work I will be paying for. It's not like I just brought in my car unannounced -- I made an appointment and I assumed the time frame I was given was accurate. This place is magic -- they make your time and patience disappear!

Negatives: They told me the my repairs would be finished in one day, and ended up taking 3 separate trips. They broke an induction tube in the engine and gave it back to me without repairing it or even acknowledging the damage they did. They also broke a light, leaving a note on my bill saying so. It has been over a month and they still have not repaired the light, though they have said multiple times that it would be done "this week." Overall: Poor communication, time consuming to work with, and questionable integrity.
