Save yourself some time and skip right over A&D Air Conditioning. This company was recommended to us when we needed to replace our ac unit. We liked that it was a small business and family owned. We had nothing but problems from the start. Installation was a nightmare and one of the techs cut himself and bled all over my wall. Another tech asked my husband for some tools and a ladder so he could save a trip back outside. Installation took all day and they did not finish and had to return the next morning to complete the job. They left trash in the yard overnight too. A few weeks later, we had to call them because our system wasn't cooling the way it should have. We were told there was a leak in the line set which would cost another $1000. We had them come out to replace the line set when we really should have asked for a second opinion. Because we live on the third floor, David suggested we run the lines outside the building and through the attic. Unbeknownst to us, one of the techs cut a hole in the roof. A few days later when we were out of town, the president of our HOA called to tell us our condo was leaking water to the unit below. Turns out A&D was responsible for the damage. Luckily their insurance covered everything, but we were still looking at months before the damage was repaired. Later we learned the line set replacement was completely unnecessary. David didn't put enough Freon in our system causing it to malfunction. He charged it up when the weather had been colder causing an inaccurate reading on the gage. Whenever our system was on, it was loud too! We had a ten years parts and labor warranty and felt we were stuck with A&D since they installed our air conditioner. WRONG! The last time I called David for a service check, his secretary told me he had a bad hip or something and could FaceTime me for the service call! WTF? Who runs a business like that? That was the final straw for me. Once I realized the warranty was transferable my husband and I switched companies to Patterson Heating and Air (who are fantastic by the way) for service on our unit. They honored the warranty as well. We eventually replaced the entire air conditioner after a few years because of the shoddy work from David and his company. Save yourself the stress (and cash) I had to endure from dealing with this company and go with someone else (again, I highly recommend Patterson). It's also weird, in this day and age, David doesn't have a website for his business. I'm guessing anyone who gives this man anything above one star has got to be a paid or bribed family member or friend. If I could, I'd give A&D ZERO STARS. read more
