So after calling around, the silver lining was having Tim and the crew from Integrity Tree Service tend to it, they were here on time, got the tree taken down in a fast, safe way, and we now have an abundance of white oak firewood for grilling and fueling our winter wood stove.... once I cut it all to size. I also requested that they trim the other trees in the front. I received a very reasonable estimate and set a tentative date for service, depending on our weather. A few days before service was scheduled, I called to ask if there was any chance of also clearing my fence line as the small bushes/trees were growing into my fence and well over my fence, obstructing any view. When the day came for service, the crew arrived early and worked diligently throughout the day. The tree removed from the backyard was very large and I'll admit I was a little nervous about how they were going to handle it. Needless to say, they did an excellent job with everything. They did everything as promised, including grinding(?) the trunks. You can't even tell I once had trees there. The fence line looks great! I now have a clear view. I received several estimates and Highland Tree Service was very reasonable. I will definitely call them again when I have future needs and I highly recommend them. Theresa Wright

WORST. EXPERIENCE…read more I didn't want to have to leave this review, but after the owners promised to make it right and then never made good on their promise, I can't stress enough how horrible our experience was with Moore and Smith. They were by a mile the highest quote, and we don't mind paying top dollar for good service, but this was nothing short of disappointing. The company came highly recommended, however they repeatedly dropped the ball on our rental when we needed to have trees removed. They presented a waiver to our tenants stating it was "to cover the property under insurance should anything happen". This was in fact a waiver in case the lawn and or driveway got torn up. I, as the owner of the property was NEVER presented this document, or I would have certainly requested to move the service to another day when the ground was more firm. Lo and behold, the lawn is a demolition derby, the driveway is damaged, and the tenants were picking up trash and debris for days. Not what I would expect for an $8000 service. When I called to get to the root of the problem and express my frustration, I spoke with Megan, who is equally as classless as she is condescending... not sure what swamp they dug her out of, but I've never been spoken to by a more repugnant person. Any company that would have THAT as their customer service person clearly doesn't give a shit about customer service... The owners called me back to apologize for how she spoke to me, which showed class, and promised to return to our rental, smooth out the tracks from the damage, and to reseed the lawn. He also promised to come to our property for free for a service should we need help. They never made good on either promise, and calls to the owner have been unreturned and texts left on read. Needless to say we are disappointed and will never be hiring them again.
