4+ farmers market that pops up in the Downtown Upland area (area where there are lots of…read morerestaurants and small stores with an old timey small town vibe). The footprint of this farmers market isn't huge, but I feel like it has a lot of the vendors/ eateries/ things that I've come to expect at a farmers market. At each of the stands I visited, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting some produce, a baguette, some candy, and some honey on this visit. The items were delicious and loved the baguette - using it as my bread at breakfast and making a sandwich at lunch. I definitely would love to comeback and buy other items when I'm sure I know what I want to do with them (when cooking). It can get pretty busy in the area, but I was able to find parking a few blocks away. It gave me a chance to walk through the downtown area and check out some other stores as well.

We also went to Dyvonne's Cookies and Bake Shop for a cinnamon roll and cookies - delicious We bought some jewelry and trinkets and observed the animals at the end: a pig, a duck , a Small pigmee goat and some Chickens. We also grabbed some homemade salsa from Valente from Tatiana. Ample parking along the side street. We spent a bit, but got many things that we wanted- a great day.

My wife and I were taking the backroads from Chino Hills back to Los Angeles when we stumbled…read moreacross the Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store. This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

We were interest in seeing what they had in store, since we've never stopped by before. We parks on the grass field and walked towards the vendors first. We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.
