Parking is free and it feels great to walk around and support small businesses! My boyfriend and I had a great time - several tents from produce, anime stuff, tamales, bread only for $1, and way more! The bread tent was a steal - a lot of different varieties just for $1 and so tasty! We also even visited the Upland Farmers Market after for the very first time and noticed that the same bread business/vendor there and each loaf of bread is $6!! You're better off getting your bread in Pomona! We also purchased 10 Pokémon stickers for $1. Also tried out a beef tamale for $4 (so delicious!) as well as natural, organic orange and blood orange juices (I believe we paid $9 for both, sooo good!!!) Overall 5/5 recommend. Great place to explore and show some support!

Read my reviews of farmer's markets all over the country and across Los Angeles itself, and in…read morewhich Pomona stacks among the smaller. Yet, this market has big heart. First of all the vibrant youthful energy is palpable: a young cooperative-style farming community brings organically grown produce for a "whatever you can pay" code. It's seasonal and not a lot, but it means a lot. Sometimes they have a glut of avocados or unique greens like dark kale and sorrel. The organic tents are all yellow. This is true sharing spirit, which is the anti-thesis of the U.S.'s capitalistic, environmentally-destructive, agri-business profit model-- really a load of drivel and poison, for which American bodies themselves pay the price in pathologies and obesity. The organic crew also bring you dried goods like beans and non-GMO crops like millet and bulgur. The same crew has a community compost collection where you can bring your frozen food scraps from the week and they will recycle it for you in an actual local compost heap. Yes, organic returns to the soil, that yield microbiology-rich soils which are used to grow more nutritious vegetables! You know the way indigenous people all over the world have done it before anglo-American consumerism and their insidious marketing devastated regenerative life on this continent. There's another wing to the market, with the traditional stalls where there is a greater range of vegetables-- I tend to avoid them because I can go to the $0.99 store for similar things. The tamale guy is on the far end. The honey producer here is exquisite and hyper micro-local. I only buy my honey from them (name: Flores Honey). As well you'll see some "thrift" clothing stores and some "free" clothing stalls run by a local charity. In all, a great vibe and can be a game changer for community and for ecological health if more communities set up markets like this one. Very earthy and geared to the average person.

11/9/24 Another gorgeous day at the Pomona Farmers Market!!…read more I felt like buying a bunch of loaves of bread for family and friends so I decided to drop by the farmers market. Today is a gorgeous day indeed. I bought about seven loaves of bread.SCORE!! The gentleman helping me select some bread was so amazingly, friendly, it actually made me buy more loaves ha ha ha. See what little smile & some gentle coaxing will do? Of course, I happily wandered into the little booth that had plants and met the friendly and accommodating plant lady named Jenny. I was so enamored with the succulents that bore flowers that I ended up buying one-- it makes me happy because this reminds me of my dearly departed aunt who loved succulents. Today IS a great & wonderful day. Happy Saturday everyone

I was most interested in the fresh produce and fruits and although small, the few vendors there had what I needed: cilantro, green onion, cauliflower, kale, broccoli, tomatoes, peaches, strawberries, figs, onion, jalapeno, and even picked up two pots of herbs: mint and oregano. $1 loaf of whole wheat sourdough bread was a steal! As always, I remembered to bring my own bags and my own produce bags to put the produce in. They also sold tamales there which I'll have to come back again to try. There were also other vendors selling home made crafts, as well as honey and eggs. Overall, this was a great experience and highly recommend it.

This looked like a big ol' farm store and from the second I saw it, I was pretty darn excited. This large store features ample parking, tables outside, and a petting zoo that didn't actually have any animals, but maybe they were just inside. The shop itself is full of baked goods, clothing, drinks, and literally everything else you can usually find at a farm style store. I was super tempted to pick up a bunch of chocolate when walking around, but since it was pretty hot outside I had to settle for the farms own Orange Juice and a big fat rice crispy treat with chocolate and pretzel on top. The orange juice was OH SO refreshing on this hot day and the rice crispy treat was really good as well. Overall, The Cal Poly Pomona Farm Store is a great place to stop and pick up a few things. I really liked the two things I picked up and I can definitely see stopping back here the next time i'm in Pomona!

We were interest in seeing what they had in store, since we've never stopped by before. We parks on the grass field and walked towards the vendors first. We bought some fruits and vegetables from the student farm stand (what a steal!) and it was a great feeling knowing that we were supporting the Cal Poly Pomona students. The produce was grown and picked by the CPP students. We also were able to purchase honey from CPP; the honey was produced at the school and jarred by students. There were about 8 food trucks. After we took a walk around, we went into the farm store. It was packed with people and the line was snaked around the interior of the store. I've never seen so many varieties of tomato plants or this many people interested in purchasing plants. We didn't walk away with a tomato plant this time around, but perhaps next time. It was lovely experience.

The footprint of this farmers market isn't huge, but I feel like it has a lot of the vendors/ eateries/ things that I've come to expect at a farmers market. At each of the stands I visited, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting some produce, a baguette, some candy, and some honey on this visit. The items were delicious and loved the baguette - using it as my bread at breakfast and making a sandwich at lunch. I definitely would love to comeback and buy other items when I'm sure I know what I want to do with them (when cooking). It can get pretty busy in the area, but I was able to find parking a few blocks away. It gave me a chance to walk through the downtown area and check out some other stores as well.
