If you don't speak Spanish, be prepared for the employees to talk about you to other employees in Spanish. I felt very uncomfortable during my most recent visit here. The meats are not organized, raw chicken overspills into the raw beef (cross contamination), produce is expensive. After getting my meat and cooking it at home, it was disgusting. The chicken was grey after it was cooked. The quality of meat, the expensive prices, on top of the employees gossiping about customers gives me all the reasons I need to never return or recommend this place. I went here yesterday & was disgusted by how many flies were in the store. They were all on the fresh fruit they cut up in the bakery/juice bar. Not to mention all on the fresh bread in the glass doors. My daughter wanted to get bread when we walked over we saw flies inside flying on the bread. That's when I noticed then on the freshly cut up pineapple. The health department needs to come. Flies were a major problem when I was in there yesterday. Nothing is being covered so flies are on everything in the produce, bakery, juice bar. People can get really sick from flies. The store needs to do better with the flies. read more

How does this place have 5 star ratings? Stopped by in here to purchase a bottle of water and I was completely shocked. First off it smells gross! It smells like old produce, dirty floors and and old moldy refrigerators. The carniceria (meat market) smell is inevitable however, I do believe that it comes down to the freshness of the products. Second, items are way overpriced. You're better off driving just a few more minutes and into a better quality grocery store. Don't u hate when u see so many good reviews and the place was over hyped. This is one of those places. The cut on the ranchera was too thick plenty of fat on the meat. I asked for marinated meat based on the reviews and the butcher says ill prepare it for you. Any bbqer knows you have to season meat for at least a couple hours to get a good marination. Cooked meat on grill no flavor a bit fatty however was fresh. Price 5.50 lb not bad. I prefer a leaner cut and I can marinade the meat ten times better. I'm just spoiled I used to get my meat from el toro in Santa Ana nothing in the IE compares. Really wanted this to be the asada spot since moving to Chino. read more
