Yesterday, my husband and I went to Prime Time Meats after seeing their Instagram stories. The meats and ceviche looked delicious, so we decided to treat ourselves to what we thought would be high-quality food. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The carne asada was very dry and cut too thin -- nothing like what was advertised. The ceviche was just okay at best. The shrimp lacked flavor and didn't taste fresh. We paid over $70 just for a half tray of ceviche, and in total spent more than $100 -- which felt like a complete waste considering the quality we received. Honestly, I've had better meats from Vons or Costco for half the price. I'd rate the ceviche a 5 out of 10. Overall, we were really disappointed and feel like the Instagram posts were misleading. Definitely not worth the hype and not purchasing again. read more

Moved to Ontario a few years and I could not find a good carniceria. We'll I found it, primetime hands down has the best ranchera meat in the area. Thin sliced and great flavor. The thin slice goes a long way when you grill for large groups. High in price, but the quality is great. read more

5 Stars - Best Flap Meat I've Ever Had! I stopped by Prime Time Meat Market and was seriously impressed. I only purchased the flap meat, but let me tell you--the quality was outstanding. The marbling on the meat was beautiful, and you can always tell good meat by how the fat is distributed. It cooked up juicy, tender, and full of flavor--perfect for grilling. The shop had a great variety of other cuts too, like Espaldilla (clod beef), Chamorro (beef shank), Menudo, Chuleta de Puerco (pork chops), and more. They also sell their own tortilla chips, which looked super fresh and crispy--I'll definitely try those next time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was extremely clean and well-stocked. I'll definitely be coming back for more flap meat and to try the other options! read more

My mother and father in law were raving about the marinated carne asada they got from this place. They did mention the price was higher than others but they were NOT complaining one bit and were telling us to go try it cuz it is so worth it. Anyway, I went one day just to check it out and price my favorite meats and man did the marbling on the few meats on display were outstanding. I ended up getting some of the Flanken cut beef ribs, a whole prime picanha, and he threw in some of the carne asada for free because I mentioned my mother in laws recommendation! And yes of course I paid more than what I would have at a typical grocery store but the meat quality is incomparable. They're so nice and helpful too, I talked way too much and they talked too much right back to me Went straight home to grill all the meats and they were phenomenal. Soooo I have been hoping for this place to open up for a while now. I live down the street and ever since I saw a carneceria opening up I was excited! I came to the 7/11 on a Thursday and saw that it was finally open so I decided to go in. I was greeted right away by Javier who broke down everything from cost, marination, cuts, when they opened up etc. He was really welcoming and made me feel like I was already a regular. He told me about the special prime ranchera carne they had and I told him I was forsure gonna try some this weekend. He gave me their number and I left. Saturday I came back for a carne asada I was hosting and bought 3 lbs of Prime ranchera and 1 lb of prime costilla. I also tried the salsas they had as a sample which were DELICIOUS. They marinated the meat for me and it came out to $56 which for what I got, I was happy about. And if you didn't want to go to the grocery store to get your carbon, chiles, salsas, cilantro or even sodas, they have it here! Everyone loved it. Thin cut meet with great taste. The only complaint I will have is that the meat wasn't really marinated that much or maybe it is cause I'm used to my marinate but next time, I'm marinating it myself. Other than that, it was amazing. This meat was definitely better than the meat for La Carneceria that opened up on central and they are way more welcoming. I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but I felt I'd help this new spot out. I went to Prime Time Meat Market for the first time on Sunday. Excellent quality of meat (juicy and tender) at a very reasonable price ($12.99/lbs for the ranchera). I loved that the place was impeccably clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had samples of their 3 salsas (made in house) with tortilla chips; nice touch so that you can taste and choose which you like best instead of picking blindly. They were all great, but we decided on the green (mild), which still has a good amount of kick to it. Overall, great bang for your buck, especially when you compare it to a lot of the newer carnicerías that are on the trendier side and "instagram-famous". This place has the same quality of meat, but you're paying $2-3 dollars less per pound. This place is definitely worth checking out! You won't be disappointed. read more

All I can say is DO IT! I got some asada and some chicken breasts. They were marinated to perfection. Next time I will have them filet the breasts smaller so they can cook quicker. Their aguachiles are super good! I've gotten them a few times and recommend them! The only complaint I can say is they charge inconsistent. I was charged each time their price at $25 and then recently charged 27.50 and told its tax. I find it strange I was never charged tax before and now I am. And it wasn't like weeks or months since I've order in between so I'd suggest either sticking to charge tax or not because being charged a bit more than you expected to pay based on previous orders is not a nice surprise. read more
