You would think a car with a proximity key would cost more right? Someone quoted me $80 for that key and $150 per key for my 2007 civic. With the amount of work that goes in to proximity keys I was stunned by the $150 up charge for an older car. Originally I was going to get a spare key for my 2017 Acura but have decided that I wanted to get my civic keys done as a priority. Turns out not only did I need a new fob (just the plastic part because no upselling here, so I replaced my already broken spare, too) but also an ignition switch, which Mark explained to me in detail, using photographs, because he didn't want me to think I was being taken (I didn't and I wasn't). Asked who they could recommend to do it, and he said: We can. And they did. In under 45 minutes and for under $230 in total. I feel so lucky not to be stuck in the mountains somewhere unable to start my car (knock wood) or searching the ground for a key that fell out of the fob. He did a fantastic job both extracting the old lock and installing a new one. Cody even realigned our door latch so everything opens and closes smoothly!
