I am baffled by my experience compared with the plethora of glowing reviews. A change in transportation plans left me scrambling to find a taxi for a flight the next morning. The gentleman (and I use the term loosely here) who picked up the phone was rude and while not exactly unprofessional, was not professional either. I was, to my bewilderment and surprise, informed that he could not meet my reservation request. He gave no explanation whatsoever, although he *did* apologize (unapologetically). I'm done with ABC! My most recent ride yielded yet another terrible driver experience. I am so tired of ABC's creepy, politically charged, and religiously aggressive drivers. I used ABC for years. I was a loyal customer because they are the most affordable service to and from the airport. $35 from my Seattle neighborhood. Reliable most of the time. They did forget to pick me up once. But I cannot deal with the drivers anymore. They go on and on and on and on about religion and/or politics which is both annoying and highly unprofessional. I'm often tired in the morning as well as returning from travel and all I want is a quiet ride to/from the airport. Shut up already about your agenda! You're driving me home for crying out loud. We are not bellyaching at the bar. My most recent driver actually scolded me for interrupting his "God" rant as I tried to provide my local neighborhood directions. Slow drivers, political drivers, preachy religious drivers, cigarette smelly cars, and an annoying dispatcher who sounds like you've woken him up every time you call is what you will consistently get with this car hire service. read more

After reading the reviews- i was willing to try out a car service as paying $60 for a cab ride from the airport seemed a bit ridiculous. The phone service was prompt and only needed a basic amount of information to schedule a pickup. They do request a 9 hour notice prior to pickup- so if you know when you need a car- best to call early. After contacting them when i arrived - they told me the car would be there in about 10 minutes. and they were-Prompt! The only negatives i have about this is that while my driver was nice and didn't chit chat the whole way.. it was a bit unnerving to see him dressed in street clothes, long unkempt hair- looking similar to an older hippie. the town car was clean, but definitely old. If i hadn't read the reviews i would have thought this was a guy who uses his old day to day car as a pickup service. it's unfortunate that this things can be detrimental to such prompt and courteous service, but as as woman- i feel it is an important part of safe car service. the price is right, and as long as you're not expecting fancy/suited "Town Car" service- $30 from the airport into Seattle makes it worth it. read more

I have been using them for 5 years with average useage of 15-20 trip per year. They have never missed or late for appointment (may be once for 5 - 10 mins). The owner Stephen is 24-7 on his phone to take appointment. Their fleet is not as new as other company I used to use for all my business trips. I used to pay $55 for a trip to airport from Mercer Island. Now I am more than happy to pay for $35 and get off the ride $20 richer in my pocket. I highly recommend the place. read more

We used ABC to get to the airport because an online reviewer had mentioned they got a great deal and that they provided a child car seat. That was exactly what we needed, so I decided to go with them. I called the day before our trip to verify they would have the car seat and they verified my child's age--my thought was to make sure they had the right type of seat. He then made a comment about how the drivers sometimes forget the seats and asked if we could provide one (which we couldn't, kind of the whole point of reserving with them days in advance) which is when I started to get nervous... At ten minutes past our pickup time I called and asked where the driver was, and he finally showed up a total of 20 minutes later than our reserved time. The child seat was a booster, not a car seat, which my daughter was too young for... The driver took a "creative" way out of Ballard, making us worried he didn't know how to get to the freeway. Then once on the highway he was constantly drifting into other lanes, and driving very fast, presumably to make up for being late? But come on, there's a baby in the car! I gave two stars because the price was cheap and driver was friendly despite everything else and the car was comfortable. I think this is a you-get-what-you-pay-for experience, and we did make it to the airport in one piece after all! I wouldn't use them again though, certainly not with young children. read more

I LOVE this cab company. I have used them a dozen times. I have even had some friends picked up at the airport that were very difficult to get to the area where the cab would be and Steven was so patient and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough. They try harder than any other cab company I have ever used. They are friendlier and more accommodating than any other cab company I have used. I know we all make mistakes but in the last 12 times I have utilized this company, they have come through promptly and with a nice black car ride every single time. read more

Not a good experience at all...However this review can be changed based on what I was promised over the phone after the cab never showed up. I had an 11:35PM flight arrival and had a confirmation from ABC that they will come and pick me up at the airport. On the day of pick-up 1. First call was made before I boarded the flight to make sure they are coming to pick us up. Confirmed 2. As soon as I landed, gave them a call and they asked to give another call after I pick up my baggage. 3. Picked up my baggage, gave them a call again, asked me to wait, the cab is just outside the airport 4. After waiting 10 minutes, gave them a call again...."Sorry Sir, Engine Breakdown'. Wait...What, You were just outside the airport and you had an engine breakdown. You really want me to believe that. I was of-course not happy. I call ABC because they charge me 30 bucks + tip. Now I have to take a cab which be around 55 + tip. The guy on the phone PROMISES: Next time I will give you a trip to the airport for free for the inconvenience. Lets see if that happens. Next time I need the cab, I will call them up and remind. if he sticks to his promise, I will change the rating. read more

Used them to and from sea airport during the busy x-mas holiday. They performed flawlessly. Charged me $40 from Northgate area and I tipped the driver $10 because he was right on top of taking my 4 heavy bags and placing them in the trunk. The cars are not that new but were clean and comfortable. Both drivers had years of cabbing experience in Seattle and knew how to get around. When my flight arrived over and hour late, I just called the 888 number and the Town Car was there in about 7 minutes. I would definitely use this company again. Most other companies I called wanted $60, so even with a $10 tip I saved $10 or more. They did not charge for my friend like Shuttle Xpress does so it was a good deal all around read more

I booked 2 rides (from & to the airport) because of Yelp. This was the cheapest fare, cabs charge like $40 for the same ride! And for the two of us shuttling it, it would have came out to the same $30 and this was more comfy. Upon booking, the reservationist was super nice and made sure to get all the information right. We called once we landed and were told to go to baggage claim and call back, we called again so they could take down what number door we were at, then they called us back so we wouldn't have to wait in the cold and could just walk out to the curb. The first driver was super nice, he was wearing one of those Hawaiian themed shirts (in the rain! haha how awesome), he played classical (which I enjoy, it's the band nerd of my past...) and when he did chat with us, it was about traveling, where we lived, coffee, hotels and business in Seattle. It was casual and he wasn't the least bit annoying. The way back, we were still exploring the city and were a few blocks away when the driver called and said he'd arrived. He patiently waited while we got our bags that were checked in. That ride over was a little bumpy to start, I think the driver was just worried about us being late but little did he know we were flying southwest and our flight had been delayed an hour. Anyways, he didn't play any music which was fine, he chatted with us minimally but I think my bf and I were just tired from our whole trip that he nodded off a little while I stared out my window. He gave us both the town car business cards just in case. We don't regularly come to Seattle but I have a feeling we will be back someday. Overall, great experience with the town car service. It kind of bummed me out because I wanted to seeing about getting a non-airport car but they only do airport transportation. read more

The best car service I've ever had in my life. I am a consultant living in Seattle and have to wake up in ungodly hours to catch red eye flight. Be it 3 am at night, these guys are there. They have such clean and comfortable cars with amazing and friendly drivers. I never had to feel like I'm on a six flag ride unlike the yellow cabs. They are cheap, timely and have wonderful service. They pick up your call anytime day or night and for new comers, even suggests time to reach to the airport. I have been taking their service for over a year and will always do in future. From Rush Limbaugh on the radio to random political rants ranging from Obama to the Vietnam war, it was all I could do to steer the conversation to neutral. My wife and I have used A-ABC many times for work and pleasure. They are always on time and very pleasant. We have referred many friends and they have all switched to A-ABC. They charge a flat fee to the airport no matter how many passengers you have. This is a huge savings. The cars are late model Lincoln Town Cars - super comfy. My wife, teenage son, and I arrived at Sea-Tac airport on Saturday, Sept 04, for a 7- day Alaska cruise that was departing from Pier 91. I contact A-ABC four days earlier and made a verbal reservation. As per previous instructions, I again contacted A-ABC once I gathered our significant luggage from baggage claim, we were promptly met (less than 10 minutes) at the baggage claim door by an A-ABC towncar and driven directly toPier 91. Upon returning seven days later, we again contacted A-ABC upon claiming our bags and clearing Customs. We were met again within 10 minutes (despite the heavy traffic volume around the pier), and on our way to Sea-Tac airport. To be up front and honest, if your expecting a late model, or new towncar, this service is not for you. But if you do not mind riding in a clean and well kept towncar that may be 5 to 7 years old at a reasonable price (less than a taxi cab fare), this service is for you, as it was for us!!! The cost was a reasonable flat $35 each way (plus tip). I will use this service again, the next time we return to Seattle. read more

Today, 5/26/2013, I called inquiring a name who is in charge of a corporate account, for I am in search of a good car company. As I called, someone picks up the phone, no hello nothing but "call back monday call back monday okay" and hangs up.... So I call again inquiring the name of the person whom I can talk to for the corporate account, same thing "call back monday call back monday okay" and hangs up on me. I call the third time explaining that this is no way of handling a business account. Then he said one more time "call back monday" and hanged up on me. I would NEVER hire nor ask for a corporate accounts for a company that does not know how to speak on the phone, nor have the basic customer service of "Hello" when answering the phone. If the frontline person who answers the phone speaks four words which are "call back Monday, okay", I can't imagine the management who allowed someone such as him to be the face of the customer service. read more

No show. Had a scheduled pick up for 5:30am to get to the airport and they didn't show. After waiting for a while I called them and they said they'd call me back. After a few minutes they called and said the "car had broken down" (yeah, right) and weren't going to make it. He did offer to make my next ride free but I can't trust that they'll show up. If you have a flight to catch and/or a set time you need to be somewhere, don't use them. read more

My only small complaint (a very minor one at that), would be that I call when I land so they will be ready to get me but still have to wait an additional 10 minutes. Like others who have reviewed this company, I was skeptical - but gave them a try for getting me to and from the airport around a week-long trip. I couldn't believe how on time they were, how easy they were to reach via phone and how straightforward the whole thing was. At the time I made the initial call to reserve the trip TO the airport, they took the initiative to get my returning flight info and schedule the RETURN ride for 8 days later, as well. As someone who doesn't take cabs a lot, but wants them to be really easy when I do, this company went above and beyond any expectation. I highly recommend A-ABC. read more

What a great reliable company. After seeing mostly favorable reviews online I called them and booked a pick up at the Seattle airport for 4 adults with 2 pieces of checked luggage and 6 carry ons. They put us all in one cab and only charged us $30 to take us to our hotel by the space needle. The driver was friendly, and was very talkative and informative as he took us to our hotel. I called the company when the plane landed and again when we had our luggage. The taxi arrived about 10 minutes after our second call but we had arrived early so that really wasn't their fault. They were planning on us arriving later. we will definitely use them again the next time we're in SEattle. read more

My husband and I have used A-ABC Taxi many times from north Tacoma to SeaTac airport for a flat fee of $55. They are always prompt, friendly, and professional! I left a really nice hat in the taxi this last week. I called to see if they had possibly found it and if I could swing by their office to pick it up. This review is being written HALF WAY thru my experience. I will update it if they follow through... I just made the reservation. Initially I called and got a message saying the call was important and we're on the phone so please call back in 5mins. I figured, nah. So, I'm online looking for another service to the airport and my phone rings and it's AABC asking if I'd called for a car. I figured if they cared enough to check their caller ID and call me back, I'd book a ride. The man on the phone was pleasant, but kept saying "Mmm hmm.. Mmm Hmm" before I could finish a sentence. He seemed to get my address right and says a car will be out at the appointed time, which will give me time to install our car seats before we head out to the airport. I'm such a skeptic about these things but hopefully I'll jack up the star rating after the ride. read more
