He researched potential buyers and found what he believed to be a GREAT buyer. Well ... he missed something. This new owner was a dolt. Seriously. I felt sorry for the guy. Apparently he didn't understand he was buying a CPA office that did tax preparation. He had absolutely no clue! Worst of all ... this past February, 11 days before our scheduled appointment (made in October 2024) we got a call from the poor staff girl ... they had to cancel our appointment. We asked, "Oh, you're moving us?" She replied, "No, we're closing!" Wait! What?! You mean like for a vacation? No ... tomorrow!!! FOR GOOD!! No referral. No, Sorry! No nothing. If they just come straight out and told me that they don't have time for my business I would have sought another accountan.
