ABSOLUTELY recommend them, 100%. Called for a quote to remove a tree by the road that had a dead area. Steve was out the next day to take a look and quote it...recommended that the whole tree come down which we were fine with - why wait until something happens and it takes down the wires nearby or a car driving under it! Also asked him to quote removing various branches and small trees around the yard, and removing a couple of precariously balanced trees brought down by past storms. The quoted amount was very fair. To watch them carefully remove branches, then trunks, move from the yard to the chipper was like a choreographed dance! These guys know what they are doing! Toward the end of the quoted cleanup we had Steve look at an old, OLD decaying maple in the woods which could easily reach the house given the right weather circumstances and Steve walked down and around it to survey the damage and emphatically indicated it should be taken down. Fairly quoted on the spot. It was at the outer limits of getting their equipment in to it but they did it! They removed the branches and left the trunk for the wildlife. Exceptional service! Steve got back to me within one hour of my call, and came to the house to give an estimate SAME DAY. Steve's team removed several trees from my property less than 24 hours after the estimate. They also ground a stump for me. One of the larger trees was in a difficult location in my yard, close to a fence, with lots of tender plants below. The team removed this very large tree with absolute surgical precision, with no damage to any of my plants. It was amazing to watch such skill and professionalism. Highly unprofessional! I called for an estimate, I had to call again, and again, and again, it's taken three weeks before some woman got back to me. Then after another week, the owner came over and gave me an estimate, I asked him when he can do the job, he did not know, he said he would get back to me. We had them take down a very large tree, they were on time, courteous and did a great clean up

I normally cut my own trees, but came across two that were outside my league. Steve and his crew took out two precarious dying ash trees in a couple of hours. One required a bucket truck, price was good and work was completed about 1 week after I got their quote. read more

This company is excellent. Steve came within one day to give us a quote. He handed us a written quote and his insurance before he left. Nothing but great things to say about Steve and his team at A-1 Tree Service. They took down around 20 trees along the back of my property and did a fantastic job.
