I called several HVAC companies during the hot and busy Atlanta summer, and Ray stood out by being prompt, professional, and, most importantly, trustworthy. He quickly diagnosed the problem, recommended a simple fix instead of trying to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and charged a very reasonable price. It's refreshing to do business with someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely looking out for their customers. After this experience, I'll definitely be signing up for a maintenance plan with him. I highly recommend Ray to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service!

Our Air went out on Thursday evening and by Saturday noon we had a new air conditioner. A technician came out @ 9:300 and in the pouring rain showed us exactly what had happened. The system had lasted longer than expected and we decided to replace it. They were courteous, took the time to explain what had happened, and even gave us instructions on how to keep the air working for short periods of time before installation. Installation was quick and easy on a Saturday morning.

I told them I would pay for the emergency call. This is in the middle of summer. I called RS Andrews and they responded that same day. These people don't care about servicing their own customers for work they're done. Edit: My wife called and spoke with someone named Tara. She repeated that it was your policy not to make after hours calls for customers unless they had the maintenance plan. She did nothing to make it right. I have friends in this business in South Florida. They've done this for 30 years. I spoke to one of them this morning and he reiterated to me that if he had installed a machine under warranty and it failed, he would come at any hour to fix it. Clearly this is not what you do.

I can't even get a filter in there. Secondly, a major part of it is installed upside down. It is the wrong size unit for the house and the humidity reads between 91 and 99 in this house. And if that wasn't worse, I come home every day to an 82° house because it doesn't even heat temperature. I have a daughter with multiple sclerosis who is very sick in the heat and she has been sick all summer. The owner of Clarks knows this and knows my family he now has come forth since he installed this very conveniently he decided he does not work on mobile homes and will not stand behind the unit they he installed. It's quite possible if it was and everything was the way it should be with the size of the unit. I wouldn't have this problem, but he refuses to come out and fix it or do anything to it because he no longer works on mobile it's pretty crappy. I have gotten an estimate that it will cost me about $7000 to fix it but I don't have so I will be taking all this further. Do not use Clarks and actually I see by their ratings. They don't even have a four star. They shouldn't even be in business.

Let me remind you that it is HOT here in Georgia, hot... hot... hot... Today is 99 degrees…read more I contacted James, the owner after reading the reviews here and he came out here last Friday to inspect our condenser (outside unit) and discovered that we had a bad compressor. Now going back about two years ago we replaced our furnace and the coil. Last year I had an HVAC company come out and they said we needed a whole new system, costing almost $5K, something we could not afford. Moving forward, on Friday James discovered that our coil in our attic could be used with R-410A (refrigerant), so we did not need to replace it, something the other guys tried to deceive us on. James is extremely knowledgeable about HVAC, explained why it would not be worth just replacing the compressor and thoroughly enlightened me on just replacing the condenser. In the end a new unit costs the same as a new compressor, so it was an easy decision to make. James was able to find us a new unit for an excellent price and replaced our old condenser that was R-22 to the new standard R-410A. As James pointed out because we are selling our home, most people will want R-410A systems, as R-22 parts will become obsolete in 2020, as R-22 systems (Class II Ozone-Depleting Substance) are being phase out due to EPA Laws. Today, James let me know he found a unit and that he was on his way. He installed the brand new Goodman 5 Ton, 13 Seer and now we have COLD air. This guy is extremely professional, has a good moral compass and is an honest man, something that is extremely RARE in HVAC. My best friend who is a contractor and works with HVAC companies could not even refer me to ones he trusted, now that is sad. Therefore, I am so glad that I found this guy. I'd recommend this guy and his team to anyone and will certainly use him again in our new house. I do not say this often, but anyone would be foolish not to call this guy. Seriously, he saved us a lot, did a great job and he is cool too. [Review #293] (Fifthy Third Review of 2015)
