All work was completed just as promised and workers respected my Covid fears by wearing PPE'S I received 4 quotes from other Plumbing companies however A1 septic was the only one who came out immediately. Run away!!! They did an inspection and supposedly a clean out 2/2/18 and come to find out, it WAS NEVER DONE! Now I have to buy a whole new system. They gave me a fraudulent report. The owner Daniel says he won't even reimburse me for a pump and my inspection fees that I paid A1. I've had 3 contractors tell me including the owner of A 1 say there is no way it was inspected. My report was clear and now I'm spending 7k for a whole new system. Thanks for the bogus report. I would've negotiated a new septic in escrow. Your company cannot be TRUSTED Daniel , who is the owner, claims he bought the company in November of 2019 and is not responsible. Buyer beware. read more

I used A-1 Septic in Modesto to repair my home's septic system. My home is in escrow and the relator sent over a technician from another company who told me he felt both the tank and the leach line system needed to be replaced, and then handed me a proposal asking me to pay his company $42,500 to hook up to the city sewer line in the street. I called A-1 Septic who sent an inspector. He said both my tank and the leach line system passed inspection, except for $1400 in minor repairs, which were later performed. I now anticipate receiving a completely passed inspection document from A-1 Septic. They were professional, communicated well, and I recommend them. read more

They were the best price and were actually early to the appointment (with my permission) normally places give you a time frame of 12-4 and show up at 4, not this company. Say one thing over the phone, then changes terms once on the job. Seem inexperienced. They have 3 different names in the phone book. A-1, AAA, and Reynolds. There may be more but I called to get price from these 3 and the same person answered the phone. It is a husband and wife, that are not very helpful. read more

I've been a customer of A-1 Septic Service for approximately 5 years. I was extremely pleased with the prior owners, but even more pleased with the current owner, Daniel Antonov. His genuine concern for the customer(s) is evident in the exceptional, prompt service he provides and the staff he has working for him! His staff are also nothing short of amazing! My initial call was received by Janessa, in the office, who was very polite and happy to schedule an appointment. When it came time for my appointment, I received a courtesy call from Phillip stating he would arrive shortly. He was on time and early, which I appreciated! Phillip was very courteous, professional and helpful! He answered my many questions and provided information on how to properly maintain my systems in the future. He was very conscientious and went out of his way to ensure the area in which he was working was exactly as it was prior to the service. The service rates charged were more than reasonable and there were no hidden fees. The entire experience, from the customer service I received to the actual service of my septic systems and fees charged, was exceptional! I feel fortunate to have found A-1 Septic Service for my septic system needs and will continue to call upon them in the future! I will definitely refer my family and friends. DO NOT HIRE A-1 Septic DISservice!! Total RIP-OFF!!The guy showed up Friday afternoon Jan 27, 2017 and sat in his truck for a couple of hours, on the clock for $75 an hour, while the landlady and a couple of her own workmen dug up the yard and worked their butts off to expose the pipes, and tried to fix the toilet. The septic guy claimed he didn't know where the cover was to the septic tank. But the landlady was HERE. She SHOWED him. There was no reason he couldn't drain the tank, as he was hired to do. Around 4:45pm he took off: "I don't work past 5.". The yard sat all weekend all torn up with raw sewage exposed [one of the neighbor Kitties almost fell in!], and I STILL had no working plumbing the whole time. I haven't been able to take a bath in 2 weeks because *stuff* from the toilet was coming up into the tub/shower! [I had to clean it with bleach] There were problems when I moved in 5 years ago. It turns out the previous tenants flushed a bunch of maxi-pads! GROSS! So the septic guy was supposed to come back Monday [yesterday] but he didn't. [Neither did the landlady and her crew. I don't know why.] I told the landlord I had to go out that day and they said I didn't have to be home [He's out of town so his wife is handling things]. So I did my errands. When I got home at 5pm, STILL nothing had been done. So I called the landlady again earlier today and finally the septic guy and the landlady showed up around 3:30. The septic guy quickly pumped the tank and took off, and the landlady left and came back with her 2 guys, and they're still here, finishing the job that should have been done MONTHS ago- if not a few YEARS ago. I kept reporting that there were plumbing problems all along, and the toilet got snaked once or twice, but that's it. The landlords are nice folks, but, like everybody else, NObody listens to me. Now they're being WAY overcharged for the job- especially since the guy just sat in his truck for about 3 hours on Friday and left before 5, and didn't show up Monday. Today he was here and gone in less than half an hour- and part of that time he was chatting with the mailman, etc. When he first showed up he asked about this address and the address next door [there are 4 houses on the property] and asked if they wanted their tank pumped. No, he needed to finish what he didn't even START on Friday. At THIS house. DUH. Please do NOT hire A-1 Septic. You will sorely regret it. Granted, *I* don't have to pay for it, but I feel bad that my landlord is paying way too much for all this hassle. It's 7pm and the landlady and the plumber are STILL here. The toilet had to be pulled up.. and it turns out the pipes were mislaid to begin with, going UPhill where it divides. They said it'll take another hour, so, I'm gonna order PIZZA!! YAY !! That'll make us feel better. Anyway, A-1 Septic gets an F-minus! read more

Don't hire these crooks! We used this company ten years ago, so we called them when we needed service again recently. We're in a remote area, so we didn't balk too much when they quoted $850 for the service. We called on a Friday with an emergency, but they couldn't fit us in until the following week, so we muddled through over the weekend. Just hours before they were supposed to arrive, they jacked up the price to $1400! We found another company in Patterson (Salinas Portables) who came out and did the job for $500, and were very conscientious and professional. read more
